sek69 Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Douchebag heel Okada is so great, the timing is off the charts. Quote
WingedEagle Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Am I the only one watching this and thinking something is off between Okada & Pac? The work is fine and both are seemingly doing their thing, but perhaps that's the problem. Okada has been his standard, slow build self while Pac's been looking to GO and as a result neither are really shining. Its been pretty good but pretty good feels like a massive disappointment relative to expectations. Quote
Childs Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Thought it was excellent and I'm not a huge fan of either guy. Quote
Jmare007 Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 PAC and Okada basically reminding everyone just who the hell they are. Fucking great opener, what a start. Quote

KawadaSmile Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Turning Okada heel was an inspired choice, bubbas. Quote

Perhaps I'll check it out again tomorrow. Just didn't seem to grab me the way both of them typically do. Quote

sek69 Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Holy shit do I want to see a Eddie Kingston/Brody King match now. Quote
Jmare007 Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 I hope Jericho is next because this crowd gonna need a breather after this first hour. Quote
MoS Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 I love watching Eddie Kingston in the ring. Quote
MoS Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Credit to Copeland, I. have not exactly been complimentary of his AEW run so far, but after the feud with Christian has got over, he is doing a great job working with AEW talents Quote
MoS Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Julia Hart is so clearly the star of the House of Black, especially given that they are not pushing Brody as a singles wrestler Quote
MoS Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 I didn't watch the pre-show. Did Max Caster say something stupid again? Quote

sek69 Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 I suppose some folks were upset about Max's rap? It was a little spicier than normal but it's PPV not TV so I didn't see anything wrong with it. Quote
Blehschmidt Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 First two matches were excellent, and Julia/Willow was fine considering Julia is likely injured. Fantastic start to this show. Couldn't care less about about the Undisputa Era Exploding or the Jericho match, but have high hopes for the rest of the show Quote
MoS Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 This is an empty workrate match. I have never understood the love for Undisputed Era, they were on top during the worst period of NXT, the time when they definitively lost in the ratings and the "coolness" factor to AEW Quote
sek69 Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 So it looks like Wardlow is about to get Sting'd by the rest of the Undisputed Kingdom, guess MJF is coming back soon to save him? Quote
Jmare007 Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 The levels of I don't give a fuck Adam Cole and his horrible stable generate in me cannot be described. Quote

I actually thought MJF was coming out tonight the way they kept lingering on Cole and the group. But hey, they have that shot of Cole looking at Wardlow with disdain for the video package I guess. The Thread Killer Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 I actually thought the O’Reilly/Strong match was great…although the stuff with Wardlow was totally pointless. Quote
