strobogo Posted May 11 Report Posted May 11 Weird considering they kept all Benoit stuff across ECW/WCW/WWE for the entire run of actual WWE Network and into Peacock era when it was all much fresher in the consciousness. Quote

To be fair, it was all behind a paywall (there's also Benoit stuff on Netflix). Quote

The full SuperBrawl '91 show and the WarGames match from WrestleWar '92 were uploaded the same day that the channel launched. The former has more than double the views of the latter, 153k to 70k. I did laugh at seeing the the Arquette title win has less views than the episode of World Championship Wrestling (12/21/85) that was uploaded the same day. Thanks for looking at some of the data! I looked at some of it too just now. Kidman vs Hogan already has 46k views so I must be in the minority of who's watching this page...or who they're looking to target. It appears stuff with Hogan, Scott Steiner, Goldberg, Kevin Nash is what's drawing people... Which feels like its casual wrestling fans on a nostalgia trip...young or old. Quality matches, hard to find shows or classic matches seems to be like a 3rd string priority. 3 hours ago, JRH said: Another issue is that they're skipping over shows that had Chris Benoit. Now, I have no problem with them cutting out his matches, but why get rid of the whole show? Given the format of wrestling, it's not like it affects continuity if they removed his matches. Regarding the lack of Benoit shows, I hear ya! Maybe there's some correlation... They're just skipping over a big chunk of quality WCW TV & PPVs since he might have a match, promo or appearance. So they're tip-toeing around 1995-1999. Quote

Must be worried Benoit would somehow trigger a flag on YouTube causing the video/channel to be demonetized. That's the only thing I can think of. Quote
HowtobeaMark Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 https://youtu.be/jvakIWf4zAw?si=i-I8tvOs5cX0jUo3 Andre the Giant footage uploaded to WWE Vault Quote
G. Badger Posted May 23 Report Posted May 23 The vault coming through with some quality material. Would have preferred more WCW footage or even stuff in AWA like his match vs Hansen but still a nice post. Quote
JRH Posted May 25 Author Report Posted May 25 Lesser known giants (including footage from WCW Prime and WWF SuperAstros): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW9GTbRK2oQ&t=1s Quote
NotJayTabb Posted May 27 Report Posted May 27 Really enjoyed the 3 Earthquake dark matches they've put up on the Vault. One really fun squash of Sam Houston that's perfectly worked, a squash of Paul Roma that's interesting because Quake is managed by Slick, introduced as Earthquake Evans and wrestles in a plaid shirt and trousers which makes him look far less intimidating, and finally a 2001 match where he's notably trimmer and takes a hiptoss and a suplex bump among other things. G. Badger Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 Saw this one today and looks interesting. There's a good mix of people, Shawn, Bret, Goldust, Double J and even one from the dark days of WCW, Yung Dragons vs 3 Count at the New Blood Rising ppv. Remember that one? Me neither. If you're craving ladder matches, this looks like your fix. Quote
G. Badger Posted June 8 Report Posted June 8 WCW really came through with this post. Definitely on my must see list with Midnights vs Rock 'n' Rolls & Flair vs Luger. God awful thumbnail though 😄 Quote
The Thread Killer Posted June 8 Report Posted June 8 If I recall correctly, that might be the best Midnights vs. Rock n Rolls match that made tape, even if it’s years after the heart of their feud. Quote
NintendoLogic Posted June 8 Report Posted June 8 My favorite match from either team. Still one of the greatest tag matches in US history. Quote
The Thread Killer Posted June 10 Report Posted June 10 Sadly, I remember that. Not the first couple of run ins, I think those were dark matches. But I remember when he jumped Earthquake. There was another time he saved Valentine from getting squashed by Earthquake. By that point, I remember thinking it was pretty obvious it was Beefcake. But then they just dropped the whole gimmick. G. Badger Posted June 15 Report Posted June 15 This was posted a few days ago but just came across it. Could have been crap but a kind soul time stamped the matches in the comments. Triple H vs Taka Michinoku. 5:56 El Torito vs Hornswoggle in a Wee-LC Match. 15:29 Johnny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa. 26:42 Lance Storm vs Chris Jericho. 34:25 Arn Anderson & Barry Windham challenge DOOM for the WCW Tag Team Titles in a Street Fight. 45:16 Kurt Angle vs Roderick Strong (With MVP featured as an extra). 50:42 Raven vs Kaz Hayashi. 55:30 Tiger Mask vs Dynamite Kid. That's a good mix! The folks running this and the WCW account should time stamp or post a match list (adding dates seems to much to ask). Quote
donsem43 Posted June 26 Report Posted June 26 The WCW channel seems to be doing well too. It's at 291k subscribers with just under 50 million views after starting 7 months ago. Meanwhile, the NXT channel that was started just a week earlier, has 158k subscribers with 27.5 million views. Hopefully this is a sign that interest is more into older footage than more recent stuff. Quote
donsem43 Posted June 26 Report Posted June 26 Now would be a good time for an episode of Way of the Blade with Phil and Tom K just do a audio version of their DVDVR Review. Quote
Dav'oh Posted June 30 Report Posted June 30 Not sure if this is a Holy Grail, but it was only posted twenty minutes ago and seems to be the only full version on YT. Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted June 30 Report Posted June 30 It's an amazing match, but it was originally on a CHV tape and has been on YT in the past Quote
G. Badger Posted June 30 Report Posted June 30 Very psyched to see the Harts vs Steiner Bros finally. Kinda surprised that it took them this long to post it. I thought it would have been an early post since it has some reputation as a quality match trapped on VHS as far as WWE official releases are concerned. Quote
