  1. For the "people will always just bitch" side of this argument, Netflix doesn't randomly leave out episodes of series on Watch Instantly. When they put up a new season of their original content it doesn't randomly not include episode 5. I'm personally not asking for much. Even if they just take ONE territory out of their library that has a clean tape library to a do chronological run, I'd be happy with that. I already said that Mid-South & SMW would be the easiest to do. Putting up the entire SMW TV library would be easy to do chronologically and they could drag that out for well over a year of "fresh content" uploads. ECW & WCCW would seem to fall into the same category, it's not hard for me to find every episode of ECW TV that they've skipped over on the Network. Not sure on WCCW but people are saying they've left out things they already put up on WWE 24/7. I'd like to see some actual thought and effort put into the Network before I subscribe again because "HEY CHEAP PPVS!" isn't the hook for me.

  3. If WWE was smart they would have had a team working very closely with the MLB guys from the very beginning with the idea that they eventually bring everything in house.
  4. It really would not be that hard to throw a bone at the hardcores. The SMW tape library was probably very organized when they got it, it wouldn't take anything to start in the beginning and upload like 2 episodes a week and just go through the whole run. The Mid-South library was converted from tapes LONG before they even bought it so digitizing it should be fairly quick.
  5. Not full shows. Some of the Memphis arena matches got shown in other towns like Evansville as a B-Show. A lot of those are out there for 1987, not sure about other years.
  6. The more old territories you watch the more fun it gets to watch old territories. Right now I'm watching some old Southwest footage from 79 or 80 and Juan Reynosa is refereeing a match including a guy wrestling as The Mongol with the typical Mongol hair and now I know where he got his inspiration to later become Taurus Bulba the Mongol with the same hair style in Memphis in 1986 and become one of the many illustrious Southern Heavyweight Champions.

    Current WWE

They put Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd in a tag together that went nowhere until one or both got injured. Gabriel could be valuable in a tag, but he'd need someone who could make up for his lack of charisma therefore not Tyson Kidd.
  8. Umm you guys The Undertaker's Streak being broken was mentioned on The Daily Show and has memes so obviously him.
  9. Weren't there a lot of house show reports of large numbers of people leaving after the Rey/Eddie matches at the point where their feud was essentially a telenovela on Smackdown?
  10. I'm not sure Vince ever even noticed Cliff Compton worked for him.
  11. I forgot about Lashley. That's a really good pick.

  13. I think there are valid reasons for wrestling fans to complain about The Network. If the most important thing to you is watching current WWE, then no you probably don't have much to bitch about outside of maybe the fact that they don't do immediate replays of Raw & Smackdown. But if you really just want to see old wrestling they have in their library like Mid-South, AWA, Florida, St. Louis, you can certainly complain that it looks rather unlikely any of that stuff will be seen in the near future. I'm already spending money on stuff that I am actually seeking out to watch so I don't want to also spend money on something that I barely remember i have and when I do bother to watch end up getting annoyed at the fact that the player stops working once you skip around so many times. Which is only made worse by the fact that very little of the stuff has bookmarks, or bookmarks that work on my PC.
  14. Cena only got his chance BECAUSE Lesnar flaked out. We wouldn't be having a "If not Cena, then who?" discussion we'd be having that discussion about Brock.
  15. I did consider that Mark Jindrak might have gotten more chances in WWE if there had been no John Cena. Maybe even Chris Masters, because I kind of feel like that's one of the reasons they never did much with Masters once he turned into a great babyface worker, although that was pretty late for a "if not Cena, who" scenario.
  16. They MIGHT have done more with Rey & Eddie. And more Batista like Matt said.
  17. NOT Steve Rossi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iBbFdEt374
  18. I think this is definitely true. Back in like 1996 you would be a pariah if you were to claim Jerry Lawler was the best wrestler of the 80s, criticize Ric Flair or praise Hulk Hogan.
  19. I remember loving 57talk.com when I first heard about it and buying into Gary's bullshit about being the best interviewer around. Until you listen to more than 2 or 3 of them and realize he would always ask everyone the same stupid questions about Vince McMahon and the WWF to give himself a chance to do his Vince/WWF rants.
  20. I don't understand what you are not understanding. He filled the request, he retweeted the link and the nice try kid isn't sarcastic. It's twitter you can't get eloquent.
  21. I enjoyed how much everyone was throwing around "respect for the BOYS IN THE BACK" in the early 2000s. Well not the enjoy part so much...
  22. I'm curious about how Roman Reigns will raise his grade to A+ levels for being Samoan. Click Game options -> Edit Data -> Scroll to workers...

  24. Can't remember how long ago I was watching 84 Mid-South but yea that TA/II feud was really good. I think I ended up getting distracted and moving on to some other wrestling watching around April 84 but I should really get back to it at some point.
  25. If you really really want out of your subscription, call for a replacement card. The next time WWE goes to bill you it'll cancel out your order due to a new card number. I had to get a new card due to mine being jacked up and forgot to change my WWE Network subscription. When they emailed me I was like "oh yea...don't care" I have so much other wrestling that I want to watch, with a DVD collection that is growing seemingly daily, I barely watched The Network anyway. Only thing I watched on there was the PPVs and Legends House and Legends House is over. I have a huge backlog of Continental, Puerto Rico, Portland, SMW etc that until they start putting up more territory footage I'm not going to go back. EDIT: All that said they are finally doing a free trial the smart way, without a credit card. Not sure how I feel about them trying to hype Monday Night Wars for immediately after Raw. It's pretty late for such an important show.
