  1. There was a little bit of it but not a lot. There were definitely people who only watched one show though but I still think the majority of people watched both. I was definitely in the SD only camp though. The arguments about why not to watch Raw was that it was a shitty show that very rarely had good matches, had crappy booking and was dominated by HHH. The arguments against watching Smackdown were "it's not live" and "why would I watch it when it's not the A-show?" So yea pretty much there was no reason to watch Raw instead of Smackdown yet some people convinced themselves it was better simply because it was live.
  2. I never gave a shit about there being 2 "World" titles. One of them was the top belt on Raw and the other was the top belt on Smackdown. Big fucking deal.
  3. Smackdown was good pretty much the entire time of the brand split (and ECW was also quite good for it's last 2 years) so yea I'm not buying this "it was atrocious" shit. I'd rather watch good TV than wring my hands over "OMG the belts are devalued cuz there's 2 sets of them!"
  4. You're looking at it as a wrestling fan not a TV executive. Why would I want to have 4 hours of "A-show programming" when I could have 5?
  5. People really need to just get over this idea. WWE doesn't even have control over it. It was what USA demanded and they paid WWE a lot of money to get it. WWE is stuck with the 3rd hour until USA decides they don't want an extra hour of their highest rated show. As far as a new brand split goes, I'm all for it. I loved it the last time around and was one of the few people saying things were going to get worse and not better when it went away. And now their business model is actually much more suited to having a brand split because they aren't so reliant on PPV buys. They don't need to have all their stars on the monthly Network special if they decide to do that kind of split again.
  6. Selling merchandise by definition is making money. And WWE has pretty much never put an actual tag team and certainly not the tag division as a whole in a position to draw ticket sales/PPV buys. Even during the 80s or the early 2000s when they had hot teams that people cared about they weren't put in a position to draw. I don't see any reason to imagine that's suddenly going to change even though right now they probably have the deepest roster of tag teams that they've had since possibly even the 80s. They've got like 10 or so actual teams right now and I'm just happy they actually seem to care about the tag division when for years there was usually no more than 4 teams at a time.
  7. Well I guess they could plant a story about Kevin Owens being workout buddies with HHH but I doubt anyone would believe that.
  8. What ACTUALLY gets heat these days though? For as much as people want to keep telling me that Kevin Owens is the best heel in WWE he doesn't really get a lot of heat.
  9. There's nothing wrong with being the next Cena, as in hated by the most vocal/hardcore fans and yet the top babyface to kids/casuals/families/women. They need someone to take the top spot from Cena and Reigns is going to be that guy. All that vocal Cena hate didn't do anything to stop him from being far and away the biggest money maker for WWE over the past decade and it's not going to stop Reigns. Despite how many people want to say "No one likes him!" he's either the top 2 or 3 merchandise seller, gets positive reactions on house shows and while he isn't getting solidly positive reactions on TV now it's less solidly negative and trending more towards the split 50/50 Cena type reactions.
  10. Guys who make the company money have historically been the guys you build around in wrestling.
  11. Especially when you consider how mad they get when you suggest that to them or that they should stop subscribing to The Network.
  12. They used that momentum to give him and Goldust a feud with The Shield and a tag title win. Now the momentum died pretty much as soon as they actually won the belts but I don't think they failed to capitalize on him being hot for a short period of time. The fact that his brother was the one who pretty much carried that feud kind of tells you that was his ceiling though.
  13. I can't fault him for thinking he was capable of being the top guy and WWE Champion like he said in his statement but I definitely don't think he could have been that high on the card. I agree that his ceiling was definitely IC/Tag Champ and he did pretty good at that level. But there's only so long you can stay around in the middle of the card before you're stale and need to move on. With all the new talent that's come up lately and are still in NXT waiting to debut, I don't blame WWE for leaving him on Superstars/Main Event. I agree that a change back to regular Cody Rhodes really wouldn't have done much to refresh him or make him someone who deserved a bigger push. It's still a been there/done that kind of thing.
  14. No, "You suck" is meant as playing along with a very good heel character. "You can't wrestle" is doing what you think you are supposed to do based on forums and article comment section trolls telling you that the target of the chants can't do shit in the ring. Yea the "You Can't Wrestle" chant is based off an opinion of many people who populate the awful places of wrestling fandom like wrestlingforum/Wreddit/411mania comment sections. It's not "playing along" it's a "We're super smart and going to let you know it!" chant. Which is funny because of how fucking stupid it is that they would chant that at anyone but Chris Jericho last night.
  15. And they have by changing his presentation since WrestleMania. What else are they supposed to do? Just fire a guy who is a top merchandise seller and gets the loudest reactions on every show, regardless of if it's the reaction they "want" him to get? I wouldn't change course with him either. Keep presenting him as a tweener the way they are now. I'm not sure how you could look at them pairing him against smark darlings like AJ & Rollins as anything BUT manipulating the crowd.
  16. I don't care if people boo him but chanting "You Can't Wrestle" at a guy who has been probably the best PPV performer going back to the Brock match at last year's Mania is really stupid. And the idea that "he's not over" when he gets the loudest reactions at every single show he is on is blatantly false. Who cares if he's not getting cheered when he's still a big merchandise seller? He's a heel to the "OMG WWE is the worst (but let me keep giving them a bunch of money)" crowd and gets cheers from kids/women and people who buy tickets to house shows.
  17. Why in the world should the WWE listen to fans that are so stupid they chant "You can't wrestle" at a guy having an incredible year instead of someone who actually DOES suck like Chris Jericho? (or Dean Ambrose for that matter) Loss is right except for in the middle of the summer he was programmed with the blackhole of suck the Wyatt's so people forgot about the Bryan, Lesnar and Big Show matches. By end of 2015, the Sheamus matches were great saw TLC live and that was awesome. The triple threat at Feb PPV was friggin bitchin. The HHH match I need to watch again because after 6 hours I was exhausted. The AJ matches are incredible. Badda bing badda boom Reigns is the realest guy in the room, how you doin? And yea that TLC match is one of the most brutal matches in WWE history and just WAY better than it gets credit for because people were too caught up being butt hurt about it being Reigns & Sheamus in the main event.
  18. Maybe he's talking about people speculating about his wife and/or brother leaving with him or maybe the reasons why he wanted to leave. The story about him being released is due to him tweeting that he asked for it so I doubt he's talking about the release itself.
  19. I thought the "Dashing" gimmick was really the best stuff Cody ever did. It wasn't really a gimmick that had main event potential but it could have been a strong mid-card character for a year or two. I could have even seen him get more and more vain to the point of wearing makeup and morphing into a modern day version of Adorable Adrian Adonis. Unfortunately they cut the Dashing gimmick short so that Cody could cosplay as Dr. Doom in what I feel is some of the worst shit I've ever seen on WWE TV. Yea I realize he gave 100% in the role but it was a shitty role and everyone keeps acting like him working hard to get it over made it good. No one gives Boogeyman the same benefit of the doubt and I'd take Boogeyman over stupid plastic mask Cody any day.
  20. Stardust was HIS idea. And he specifically wanted to stay in it after Dusty died and they approached him about becoming plain ol' Cody again.
  21. I would honestly be surprised if Goldust left because there's no reason for him to. I think it's more likely that Cody's wife (Eden) leaves with him. I always respected his decision to remain Stardust after his Dad's death though. He didn't want to "take advantage" of getting some kind of rushed push just because Dusty had died.
  22. Apparently Cody Rhodes is gone from WWE after asking for his release. I'm sure the lies of "he should have been a main eventer!" are already flooding twitter, Wreddit and all the other awful places of the internet.
  23. The Armstrong brothers seemed to go out of their way to have the nerdiest looking glasses possible.
  24. Taped at The Junction in San Antonio, TX on 12/12 Southwest Championship Wrestling airing on Saturday 12/17 in local markets -Show intro- Steve Stack: Welcome to another edition of Southwest Championship Wrestling, the most exciting hour in all of professional wrestling! We've got a lot of news to get to after the incredible night of action last Sunday night at the HemisFair Arena! 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan was victorious in the Boot Camp match against Sgt. Slaughter and has sent demented drill sergeant back to Puerto Rico, El Gran Apollo defeated The Cuban Assassin and ended the short managerial career of Jose Lothario, The Rock N Roll Express defeated The Assassins but The Assassins kept the Southwest Tag Team Titles due to the match ending in a disqualification but without a doubt the biggest news coming out of last Sunday night is that Tully Blanchard is still the Southwest Heavyweight Champion after a BIG assist from none other than Sunshine herself! We knew all the fans who were in the arena last Sunday night and have heard about the result since then were going to want to know all about it so as soon as we come back from this commercial break we are going to have Tully Blanchard & Sunshine out here and we are going to show the video footage of just how Tully defeated David Von Erich, if you want to call it that. So ladies and gentlemen don't go away, we'll be right back after these messages! -First commercial break- Steve Stack: We're back on Southwest Championship Wrestling and with me now is - Tully Blanchard: I don't need an introduction from you Steve Stack! You just hand that microphone over to Sunshine and let her introduce me in the manner befitting the great champion that I am. Sunshine: Standing in front of you now is the greatest Southwest Heavyweight Champion of all time, the man who defeated David Von Erich in FIVE seconds and proved once and for all that the Blanchard family is the greatest wrestling family to come out of Texas, he is Tully Blanchard! Tully Blanchard: Thank you! You see how it's done Steve Stack? That's the way I should be introduced. Steve Stack: Well before we go any further I want to show these people just how it was that you "defeated" David Von Erich in 5 seconds last Sunday night. Tully Blanchard: Don't you take that tone when you say the word defeated! The tape doesn't lie, I pinned him in record time, the fastest Southwest Heavyweight Title match that there has ever been! I proved once and for all that the Von Erichs can't hold a candle to the Blanchard name. The footage from Sunday night is shown where Sunshine hit David Von Erich in the back of the head with her brick loaded purse as the ref was turned to the timekeeper to get him to ring the bell to start the match and then Tully immediately covering him for the pin Tully Blanchard: There it is Steve Stack! You just stood there and watched it and all these people saw it, I pinned the man in 5 seconds and had my hand raised as the winner. That's all there is to it! Steve Stack: I don't think that's really ALL there is to it Tully because I want to know, and I'm sure all these people want to know WHY Sunshine hit David Von Erich with her purse? Tully Blanchard: If you were smarter you'd have already figured that out Steve Stack but I know that's asking a lot from you so I'll spell it out for you. As Sunshine was trying to help David Von Erich remember what his name was and figure out how to eat solid food again after the last time I beat his brains out, she quickly realized what a lost cause he really was. The whole time she was with us as The Texas Dynasty she couldn't see that because of how good I was at propping David up and making him look like he actually was a champion. But as soon as I dropped him, as soon as she saw him on his own for what he really was, she knew she was with the wrong man. So it wasn't even a week of her being on that ranch that she called me and begged me to take her back. And I told her to stay right there with David, help him recover, get him ready to come back to me so that together we could crush him again and for good. Steve Stack: Sunshine is that true!? Sunshine: Every bit of it! I'm a high class lady, I deserve the finest things that money can buy and there I was stuck on some smelly ranch surrounded by David's stupid family and having to eat his mother's awful cooking every night! His family tried to put me in jeans and boots! Me! In jeans and boots! I wear dresses made by the finest designers in the world and his mother bought me Levi's Jeans! I eat caviar and drink champagne and they wanted me to have hot dogs and beer for dinner! It was disgusting! It was the worst month of my life and the only way I got through it was because I knew at the end of it all I would have my revenge on David Von Erich and I would be standing her at the side of a real man, MY MAN, Tully Blanchard! Tully Blanchard: You heard her Steve Stack! Now before you try and ask any more questions or make any stupid remarks let me just say that Sunshine and I are NOT going to the HemisFair Arena this Sunday night. With David Von Erich out of action and Jim Duggan and Ron Starr barred from title shots there's just no one worthy for me to defend against and so Sunshine and I are going to spend OUR Sunday evening in the finest restaurant in all of San Antonio. Suddenly Stanley Blackburn comes onto the set Stanley Blackburn: Wait just a minute Mr. Blanchard! Despite your status as the Southwest Heavyweight Champion, I'm still the one who makes the matches around here. And I received a phone call late Sunday night from a very angry member of the Von Erich family demanding a match with you. Now since this man does not wrestle for the AWA and will not be staying around the Southwest area anyway, I couldn't grant him a Southwest Heavyweight Title match but I DID grant his request. So Sunday night Tully Blanchard you WILL be in action against one of the younger brothers of David Von Erich: The Modern Day Warrior, Kerry Von Erich! Stanley Blackburn leaves the interview area as Tully Blanchard starts screaming at him to come back Tully Blanchard: Get back here Blackburn! You can't do this to me! I already made reservations at The Palm! You don't just cancel reservations at The Palm! Steve Stack: Tully I think you have bigger problems than cancelled dinner reservations if you're going to step into the ring Sunday night with Kerry Von Erich! You've injured his brother twice and he's going to be out for blood. Tully Blanchard: Well he better be careful what he wishes for because blood is exactly what he's going to get! I've already got plenty of Von Erich blood in my hands, what's a little more!? I'll give David Von Erich a little company in his recovery room at the ranch when I beat the brains, the very little of them that he has, out of his little brother Kerry's head! That's all I've got to say about it Steve Stack so you can take that microphone and shove it! Tully Blanchard and Sunshine storm off the set Steve Stack: Well fans you just heard it, this Sunday night Tully is going to have to answer for his actions when he steps into the ring against The Modern Day Warrior, Kerry Von Erich! We've got to take our second time out of the program but don't go anywhere because when we get back we've got a very interesting message from Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie directed towards Jim Duggan! -Second commercial break- Steve Stack: Well Jim you just heard from Sheik Adnan that Killer Khan is going to be here this Sunday night, what do you have to say about it? Jim Duggan: I can only say bring it on! I sent him running for the hills before and that's what I'm going to do again! Eventually Sheik Adnan is going to run out of people to send in here after me, I've already taken out Bruiser Brody, The Zambuie Express, Sgt. Slaughter and now I'm going to take out Killer Khan for the second time! Just because he's now handled by Sheik Adnan instead of Tully Blanchard doesn't change anything. And speaking of Tully Blanchard I want all the people to know I haven't forgotten about him. Just because I can't receive any title shots against him doesn't mean he's going to get avoid me forever! If there is anything left of him after Kerry Von Erich finishes with him then I want him on Christmas night so I can give him the stocking full of coal that he deserves! Jim Duggan leaves the interview area Steve Stack: Well ladies and gentlemen you've just heard from 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan who is apparently going to do battle with Killer Khan once again this Sunday night at the HemisFair Arena! Now let's head down to the ring for our first matchup of the day as we get our first look at Ron Sexton & Pat Rose on TV taking on the team of Jimmy Doo and Mike Fever! Steve Stack: An impressive showing by Pat Rose & Ron Sexton who will be in action this Sunday night against the team of Larry Hamilton & Steve Pardee who are looking to avenge their loss last week at the HemisFair Arena! We've got to take another commercial break but you won't want to touch that dial because when we come back we are going to show a video of something very interesting that happened last Sunday night in the match between Eddie Gilbert and Ken Lucas and the masked team of Yin & Yang! -Third commercial break- Steve Stack: We're back on Southwest Championship Wrestling and with me now is the team of Ken Lucas and Eddie Gilbert! Before we really start to talk about what happened last Sunday night I'm going to just show a quick video of what happened in the closing moments of the match. Video is played of the finish of the tag match from the HemisFair Arena with Eddie Gilbert going into his tights and then punching Yang who immediately went down and got pinned Steve Stack: Now Eddie I don't want to take anything away from you, I know you've got quite a punch but it seems clear you went into your tights and used something to help you knock out Yang at the end of that match. Especially considering how you refused to open your hand up after the match was over when Ken Lucas asked you to. Eddie Gilbert: Ok Steve Stack, I'm not going to come out here and lie to you or my partner Ken. I *did* pull a chain out of my tights last Sunday night and use it to knock out Yang. Two weeks ago they put some kind of foreign object in their masks to beat us and I thought turn about was fair play. Fight fire with fire as my father used to always tell me. But I know that Ken Lucas was not very happy about winning the match that way so all I can do is apologize to him and promise that in the rematch with Yin & Yang this Sunday night I will not bring a chain or anything else with me out to the ring. Ken Lucas: Eddie I understand why you did it but we didn't need to beat Yin & Yang that way and I don't think we proved anything by doing it. So this Sunday night I want us to prove once and for all that we're a better team they are by beating them fair and square without anything to cause doubt in anyone's mind. Steve Stack: Well now that we have that sorted out I did want to ask about something else that took place last week. Eddie it seemed like there was some jealousy going on last week when you refused to shake Ricky Morton's hand and left he and Ken Lucas in the ring after they saved you from the attack by Yin & Yang. Eddie Gilbert: Well that attack you mentioned is another reason why I felt justified in knocking them out with a chain last Sunday night. But as for what you said about being jealous, that's not true. I know that Ricky Morton and Ken Lucas were a team here for a long time and they are very good friends. I'm not jealous about that because Ken and I are friends too. But what I don't like is Ricky Morton coming in here and for 3 weeks in a row getting a tag title shot when Ken and I deserve that title shot more. Personally, I think it's about time for the Rock N Roll Express to find their way back to Memphis and get out of our way! Eddie storms out of the interview area Ken Lucas: Steve I'm sorry about that, Eddie has been very hot headed as of late. All I can tell you about Ricky Morton is that I wish him luck in his rematch against The Assassins this Sunday night and I hope he and Robert are able to take the Southwest Tag Team Titles away from them. As for Yin and Yang, I'm getting pretty sick of getting in the ring with them and I can promise you this Sunday night is going to be last time it happens because I asked for a special stipulation from Stanley Blackburn when I saw he was here. So Steve Stack I'm announcing right now that this Sunday night the loser of the match between myself and Eddie Gilbert and Yin & Yang will have to disband as a tag team! Ken Lucas leaves the interview area Steve Stack: Wow that's huge news! I had no idea that match was going to have such a big stipulation! Speaking of stipulations let me now bring out a man who just ended the short managerial career of Jose Lothario and who will receive a Southwest Television Title shot right here in the main event on TV today, El Gran Apollo! Suddenly Goldie Rogers comes out instead! Goldie Rogers: What's the big idea trying to keep me off this TV show!? Don't you know the ladies of Texas are dying to see my pretty face!? Don't you know they need a real man to restore their faith after the chumps like The Fabulous Ones and David Von Erich have been destroyed in front of their eyes lately? Steve Stack: Mr. Rogers I'm very sorry but we do not have time for you on today's program, this is El Gran Apollo's time and I would like to speak to him about his Television Title match here on TV today. Goldie Rogers: What do you want to talk to him for?? He can barely even speak English! Alright Jack you just keep trying to wave me off this stage like I care about what you think! Ladies of San Antonio since they refuse to let me be out here on TV then you're going to have to pay your money to see me at The HemisFair Arena this Sunday night when I step on that little runt Roy Lee Welch! Goldie Rogers leaves the interview area and El Gran Apollo comes in Steve Stack: Apollo let me apologize for that interruption by Goldie Rogers and then let me congratulate you on your victory last Sunday night over The Cuban Assassin that has now caused the managerial career of Jose Lothario to end! El Gran Apollo: Thank you Steve. I hope now Jose Lothario leave me alone for good. I don't want to fight Jose no more I just want to be champion and make my fan happy. Steve Stack: Well you've certainly got the chance to do that with a big TV Title match in the main event of this program today as you take on a man you've had a few run ins before, Mike Masters! Apollo: I know Mike Masters is strong and tough but I know too I can beat him. Today I leave here with the TV belt and I make all my fans proud of me! El Gran Apollo leaves the interview area Steve Stack: Fans we've got to take a time out for our sponsors but you won't want to go anywhere because not only do we have the big main event of El Gran Apollo facing Mike Masters for the TV Title today but when we come back we are also going to see The Rock N Roll Express in action right here on TV! You won't want to miss it! -Fourth commercial break- Steve Stack: Welcome back to Southwest Championship Wrestling! With me now are tag team that has been setting the crowds on fire since coming here to the Southwest area a couple of weeks ago, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson: The Rock N Roll Express! Gentlemen this Sunday night you are going to be facing The Assassins again for the Southwest Tag Team Titles. You've faced The Assassins twice now and come away empty handed what do you think it's going to take for you to leave the HemisFair Arena this Sunday night with those tag team belts? Robert Gibson: You know Steve they say the 3rd time is the charm and for us it's going to be true. We know The Assassins are big and mean and tough but we know what we gotta do now and we're going to do it and walk out the Southwest Tag Team Champions. Ricky Morton: All it's going to take for us to talk out as the champions is to hit both of those big Assassins with the double drop kick so the other one can't come in and save his partner the way things have gone down the past two weeks. And that's just what we plan on doing Steve! But actions speak louder than words so we're going to go down to the ring now and show you just how it's done! Steve Stack: Well if The Rock N Roll Express manage to do that to The Assassins this Sunday night then we surely will be seeing new Southwest Tag Team Champions! Suddenly The Assassins come out to the interview area Assassin #1: Steve Stack do you really think it is going to be that easy for those little punks this Sunday night? We are the premier tag team in all of wrestling we're definitely NOT like the men you just saw The Rock N Roll Express defeat. Steve Stack: Clearly you present a larger challenge than the team of Snake Brown and Paul Peller I was simply saying if they manage to hit both of you with the double dropkick it would seem as if there would be no way for them to lose at that point. Assassin #1: And that's exactly why you will not see them hit both of us, or even one of us, with the double dropkick this Sunday night. I won't take anything away from them they are a great young team. They have the potential to be one of the top tag teams in all of the world. Well they would have had that potential. But unfortunately for them they made the mistake of taking The Fabulous Ones' phone call and coming here to our territory. We didn't get the names of The Assassins for nothing. We don't just beat our opponents, we take them out. And right now I am going to promise you Steve Stack this Sunday night IS the last time that you will be seeing Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson teaming up together in this area. This Sunday night we are going to leave one or both of them hurt and hurt bad. Because that's the price to be paid when you try and take what belongs to The Assassins. The Assassins leave the interview area Steve Stack: Well I'm not one to take anything The Assassins say lightly but I'm not sure they are going to be able to fulfill that promise as The Rock N Roll Express look like they might just have their number. Either way we are going to find out this Sunday night at the HemisFair Arena! We've got to take our last commercial break of the program but don't go away because when we come back we're going to have a quick word with Mike Masters about a very special match he has this Sunday night against Man Mountain Link and we're also going to see him defending the Southwest Television Title against El Gran Apollo! Don't go away! -Fifth and final commercial break- Steve Stack: We're back on Southwest Championship Wrestling and before we got to the ring for our main event I wanted to get a quick word with Mike Masters and Jim Holliday about the big Lumberjack match this Sunday night against Man Mountain Link, a match that will be for the TV Title assuming Mike Masters is able to successfully defend that title against El Gran Apollo. Jim Holliday: First of all there is no IF about it, Mike Masters WILL successfully defend the TV Title today. As far as the lumberjack match goes, it's a joke! How many chances is that fat slob Link Anderson supposed to get!? He's failed for over a month now to defeat Mike Masters for that title, it's time to move on! Steve Stack: Well considering that he's actually defeated Mike Masters by countout and disqualification I think he's entitled to this match where a pinfall or a submission is guaranteed to take place. Your man Mike Masters has been trying to run away from the challenge of Link and now there won't be anywhere to run as the ring will be surrounded by men ready to throw him back inside if he does. Mike Masters: I don't run from any man! Jim Holliday: We don't have any more time to listen to your lies out here Steve Stack! It's time for Mike Masters to go to the ring and defend HIS TV Title against that Communist Cuban El Gran Apollo. The Cuban Assassin & Jose Lothario beat on El Gran Apollo at ringside as Mike Masters stands in the ring and points and laughs. Jose blasts Apollo with a big punch from his cast covered hand and then suddenly The Cuban Assassin pulls out a pair of scissors and starts cutting the cast off of Jose's hand! Jose goes up to the interview area with Steve Stack while The Cuban Assassin continues his assault on El Gran Apollo at ringside. Steve Stack: What is this Jose!? What is going on here!? Jose Lothario: My hand is fully healed now, I've been cleared to return to competition and now El Gran Apollo is going to have to face the beating he's had coming to him! He's going to have to get in the ring with me again and Mil Mascaras isn't going to be around to save him this time! Suddenly at ringisde The Cuban Assassin picks up the scissors and goes to spike Apollo's head with them but Apollo blocks it and fights the scissors away from The Cuban Assassin which sends The Cuban Assassin running for cover! Apollo runs up to the interview area after Jose Lothario who also takes off running El Gran Apollo: Jose! Vuelve cobarde! You still want fight me!? Then fight me! I know you too coward to fight me alone so bring you friend and I find one for me! El Gran Apollo storms out of the interview area Steve Stack: Fans I don't really know what that means for this Sunday night, but it seems inevitable we are going to see some kind of further interaction between El Gran Apollo and Jose Lothario at The HemisFair Arena. I apologize to everyone that we were unable to give you that TV Title match between Mike Masters and El Gran Apollo but the fault for that lies at the feet of Jose Lothario and The Cuban Assassin. Right now we're all out of time for today's program but make sure to get your tickets for what is sure to be an action packed night at The HemisFair Arena Sunday night as Kerry Von Erich takes on Tully Blanchard, Killer Khan returns to the area to face 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan, The Assassins defend the Southwest Tag Team Titles against The Rock N Roll Express, Mike Masters defends the Southwest Television Title against Man Mountain Link in a Lumberjack match and much more! And make sure to join us again next week for more of the most exciting hour in all of professional wrestling here on Southwest Championship Wrestling! Scheduled for Sunday, December 18th at the HemisFair Arena in San Antonio, TX Kerry Von Erich vs. Tully Blanchard Southwest Tag Team Titles: The Rock N Roll Express vs. The Assassins Jim Duggan vs. Killer Khan El Gran Apollo & ? vs. Jose Lothario & The Cuban Assassin Lumberjack Match for the Southwest TV Title: Man Mountain Link vs. Mike Masters Losing team must disband: Eddie Gilbert & Ken Lucas vs. Yin & Yang Goldie Rogers vs. Roy Lee Welch Pat Rose & Ron Sexton vs. Larry Hamilton & Steve Pardee
  25. I mean that's really blatantly obvious. I never even said anything about his work just the idea that you can drop him right into WWE as a credible Lesnar opponent seemingly based on look alone like JR said is laughable.
