  1. I don't know where that "Warrior was a massive draw" talking point comes from. I realize it exists because I've argued against it before when someone was trashing Jim Duggan and saying he never drew in a comparison to Warrior. And even after showing numbers from Duggan's run as the top guy in Mid-South when they were killing it in 1984 and frequently selling out the Sam Houston Coliseum vs. Warrior's run as champ where the arenas were often barely drawing more than 60% capacity. And the people who loved that line still hand waved away the numbers and insisted Warrior was a massive draw.
  2. Bullshit.
  3. Sorry it's not going to happen. What do I know, I'm just a guy who supposedly edits people's quotes.
  4. Or maybe you're just being really overly fucking defensive and I just said it would be an interesting list to see.
  5. Literally no one has said that and the list does not even reflect that considering the top 10 is going to be a bunch of dudes from All Japan, Daniel Bryan and Ric Flair. This was in reference to you saying Roman Reigns could get at this level because he's very good already. Posts are just flooding to fast. Let me know which Reigns matches fit your description for self-conscious epic. He doesn't do those "kick out of a million finishers" matches, I don't even think his Spear has EVER been kicked out of.
  6. Literally no one has said that and the list does not even reflect that considering the top 10 is going to be a bunch of dudes from All Japan, Daniel Bryan and Ric Flair. I also do not appreciate this implication. I don't even know what would have been the point of messing with a quote in such a stupid and inconsequential way.
  7. I would consider that progress because he's really good.
  8. I'd post this over at wrestlingforum but I'm banned.
  9. 1. Ric Flair 2. Daniel Bryan 3. Stan Hansen 4. Misawa 5. Terry Funk 6. Kobashi 7. Kawada 8. Jumbo Tsuruta 9. Liger 10. Rey
  10. Now I want a Randy Savage vs. Bret Hart thread that's just as awful and cantankerous as the Flair/Bret one.
  11. Am I crazy to feel like Savage actually has a lesser resume than Arn? I mean the very best Savage matches are better than Arn's best but I feel like Arn's average output is better. And Arn was way more consistent. Savage's best stuff in WCW was really good but his "average" match was him doing absolutely nothing except getting beat on until it was time to drop an elbow.
  12. Kamala needed more votes.
  13. I don't even know what is going on in this thread anymore.
  14. Yea stop giving Dylan more projects to do before he gives me my comparison of HHH and Mr. Electricity Steve Regal.
  15. Watch less All Japan and more lucha.
  16. Not going to happen. Yea number of posts is a silly metric but a list of people who were only active in the discussions threads would be an interesting list.
  17. The most interesting list to compile after the one with everyone's ballots would be a list of just people who were regularly posting in the nominees threads.
  18. Bret is not better than Fujinami.
  19. Hope Lawler drops next so I can stop paying attention.
  20. The "Heavenly Bodies were only gone 4 months" thing is understandable as long as they didn't try to sell it as a "forever" stipulation during the buildup. The territories almost always had time limits on the "Loser Leaves" stipulations. Like I know in Memphis they were always 90 days.
  21. There are at least 2 #2 votes for Casas.
  22. If Ishikawa had managed to hold on a few days you could have used this pic
  23. can you stop
  24. Fucking mainstream Japanese bias moved him up 23 spots from 2006.
  25. Glad to see someone else liked this a bunch. Thought this was one of the best Ryback performances I've ever seen. I don't care how much shit I got on twitter, this match was WAY better than AJ/Jericho and like the 2nd or 3rd best match of the night.
