  1. Anyone that voted for Jose Lothario is a good upstanding citizen of the board imo.
  2. You care so little that you respond every time he does it.
  3. Sounds like Lawler isn't in the top 10 which means this list has no credibility.
  4. If the list is heavily favorable to mainstream US wrestling I think the only takeaway from that can be that the consensus has objectively decided that to be the best kind of wrestling. If that is the case, I applaud the consensus.
  5. Yea I fucking loved me some Santino. Too bad we never got a Santino vs. Boogeyman feud to combine my two guilty pleasures.
  6. I mean I liked (not loved) Curt in the AWA and Portland and I ranked his match with Hansen #1 on the AWA DVDVR set but I feel like he's really over rated here. Even in his early career I felt like his matches were much more likely to be "pretty good" than great. And his WWF and WCW runs offer very little to add to his case. Maybe it's just me because even after the AWA set I felt like I didn't like him nearly as much as everyone else who was talking about how great he was there.
  7. Anyone silly enough to respond to such an obvious troll.
  8. Yea but he never wrestled in Japan.
  9. Dundee has a lot of good stuff outside of the Lawler matches, even if those are clearly the best matches of his career. The scaffold match with Koko is awesome and he had some really great tag matches. The partner he is most associated with is Lawler but he and Dutch Mantell had some really good matches with The Fantastics that are on the DVDVR set and NWAClassics.

    Blitzkrieg

I thought I remembered reading that he quit wrestling due to injuries but can't find anything to back that up now.
  11. Unmotivated and going through the motions CM Punk at the end of his WWE run was better than lazy and unmotivated Samoa Joe and we saw a LOT more lazy Joe in TNA than we did lazy Punk in WWE.
  12. Even a puro-averse voter like myself could not deny Fujinami. He even made my top 10.
  13. Do the Freddy is the best wrestling music video ever. Anyone that would dispute it is a liar and a charlatan.
  14. This is one of those things I'm curious to what wrestlers, or types of wrestlers, we see having opinions either improved or lessen. Like what sort of acts that didn't do well on the list are we likely to see people talk about? I don't know, food for thought? Maybe not even that. Right? Like Blade Runner being slaughtered in 1982, now considered a classic. Who might be the "genius who wasn't acknowledged in his own time"? Will footage emerge to reveal someone we hadn't thought about to be a complete master, and who might that be? Which one or ones of the guys we revere today will be cast aside by 2026? As long as NWAClassics keeps going I think it could do a lot to help guys it's already boosted like Gino & Lothario. Hopefully we'll get enough Spoiler footage to get him in the discussion as well. Completely agree! Who knows what else might surface over the next ten years, but right now Classics really looks like it will help some extremely deserving names to build their case. The future of archive footage looks bright :-) Bruce Tharpe said he had offers from a few different people who own wrestling libraries (not sure who/what) after launching NWAClassics but he didn't have the time/money to do anything with that stuff when he still had so much work to do on the Houston footage. Hopefully Classics will keep growing and he'll later be in a position to add to it with different libraries.
  15. Slaughter made way more ballots than I would have thought. He was on the bubble for me until I watched the Iron Sheik feud and then there was just no way I couldn't rank him.

    WWE TV April 18-24

If he's going heel or even tweener, yes it's great. If he's staying babyface (and the stubbornness of the last two years suggest he probably is) then it's stupid since it's just actively pissing off the most vocal portion of your fanbase and working against the supposed goal of making him the #1 good guy. Crybabies are going to cry regardless, who cares? And I'm wondering how ANYONE thinks that's a real cup in that photo? Or that Reigns would legitimately use a cup like that at a convention auto session table in the first place? Or ANYONE to use something that wasn't provided for by the people running the tables? Ok then if it's photoshop why is he posing for the picture like that in the first place?
  17. I didn't vote for Jack Brisco because SOMEONE did not hook me up with the Brisco footage they said they would. But the clipped up NWA Title matches with Terry Funk are probably the matches I would most like to have in full out of all the clipped wrestling matches I've ever seen. The pace they worked and how they moved in and out of holds was really awesome.
  18. Yea I don't have a real dislike for Shawn like I do with Angle. Shawn had some shitty matches but he also showed he could be a really smart worker at times. Angle never really demonstrated any intelligence at how to make a good wrestling match other than keep going to the same well over and over. Shawn did kind of fall into that trap too at times, like The Undertaker matches but I feel he was at least better at milking those moments than Angle was. If I had to watch someone wrestle a "finisher/lay around for 30+ seconds/get up and do another finisher" kind of match that I hate I'd at least rather watch Michaels do it than Angle. Angle's feels so robotic and devoid of emotion while Michaels, while being over dramatic, at least brings some feeling to it.
  19. I'd rather not have to worry about whether my next burp is going to turn into vomit.
  20. My Angle criticisms are mostly about the very end of his WWE run and pretty much the entirety of his TNA run. I'm definitely not a "WWE hater" considering I have Cena just outside my top 10, Hogan in my top 25 and only just missed being the high vote on Matt Hardy by 2 spots. Just because I loved the first 3 years of Angle's career doesn't mean I am going to forget everything that came afterward when the only idea he seemed to have for making an "epic" match was to have a bunch of finishers & counters of finishers.

  22. If your friend is going to wax poetic about the "greatness" of Kurt Angle then tell him no. I'm at least glad Angle didn't make the top 50. More voters seems to have meant a lesser percentage of the overall voters voting for lucha guys.
  23. I suspect that will be another piece of evidence to disprove the "Mil Mascaras totally sucked" idea.
  24. Yea I liked the episodes I watched during my free trial. Still wish they did the "Wrestlers read mean tweets" segment on every show though, it's not like the material isn't there.

    Conor McGregor Rumor

So to the surprise of no one (except the most gullible of gullibles I suppose) Connor put out a statement that he is not retired. Time to put your pencils down on fantasy booking his WWE run.
