If they make Braun the champion they are pretty much going to have to make him look more vulnerable so people believe whoever the challenger is has a chance at beating him. They did it with Brock Lesnar already in this run by having him get choked out by Samoa Joe and Braun killing him at SummerSlam and then dominating him on Raw. People liked that because it was Brock but put Braun in the same scenarios and people will be writing that Vince McMahon needs to die or retire already. And that's not even getting into him getting stuck doing random main event Raw tag matches or losing a non-title match to set up a PPV.

How is putting the belt on Braun somehow going to magically make him more over or more pushed than he is now? He's already a huge focus of the show and has been pinned once in his entire run. You put the belt on him and you put him in scenarios where he's more likely to get fucked up than helped.

Braun is special being Braun, you make him the champ and then he gets slotted inside the formula they use for all champions and it's not going to be as good.

Dolph's segment on Smackdown is one of the worst things I've ever seen on wrestling television.

Saying that Cena destroyed Roman on the mic by NOT destroying him on the mic isn't something that deserves any better response.
-
How do people still watch wrestling when their head is inside their own asshole?
-
This except completely opposite as Cena's promo felt very forced this week while Roman was just naturally responding. Cena's promo was like a kid who was getting picked on for being the new kid in school and finally someone else new comes along so he tries to win over everyone by saying all the same shit to the new kid that everyone else was saying to him before.
-
I don't know how you could watch the Roman/Cena segment from this week and think Roman got "destroyed." That was one of Cena's worst promos ever, it was like he heard Roman call him a fake bitch and went out of his way to prove him right with the most pandering promo I've ever heard from him.

If he had a full hip replacement in May is it even plausible that he could be ready to have a match by November?

Bruiser Brody was tall. You're allowed to burn bridges and not want to do jobs if you're tall.

Just because someone isn't YELLING THE ENTIRE MATCH doesn't mean they don't care. I find that criticism of Tom Phillips very strange.
-
Yeah, all of that...plus he's really, really short. Like, tiny short. Like, he's probably not allowed to go on a lot of the rides at Disney World, short. Like, he can probably still order from the kid's menu, and the waitress doesn't bat an eyelash.

I don't know why Otunga got so much hate in his first go around because Mauro was clearly the one dragging that team down not Otunga. I wouldn't mind seeing them give him another shot this time as a heel color commentator instead of what he was doing before.

Who was this? I get the feeling that NXT is very backward and bush league when it comes to certain expected standards of quality backstage. For example, I heard Tyson Kidd's injury was handled very poorly. I can't remember where I heard that though - maybe a bitter Bret rant? But still. I don't watch NXT but I saw it on twitter. This dude was on the taping in a 3 on 1 squash match with that huge guy who keeps turning on his partners. No idea if the match has aired yet. https://t.co/LsiO4l9GHU

Bringing back Curt Hawkins, giving him a decade old "Chuck Norris Facts" gimmick and debuting him in a loss on Main Event was a pretty weird one. I'm pretty sure Curt Hawkins was brought back just to be a jobber though. I'm not sure how much of a push they were ever really planning to give Mike Bennett but I definitely don't think anyone ever planned to actually do anything more with Curt than have him lose matches. It's better to have your own in house jobbers under contract than rely on local indie dudes especially when you have situations like a guy getting used for a squash match in NXT while he's got a GoFundMe page up asking for donations for medical treatment for his seizures caused by concussions.

Considering how many people were bitching about some very vague report that Cena "went off" on Corbin backstage at Smackdown and caused him to get "buried" I'd say a lot of people do still think that.
-
I definitely don't think they are going to do a finish with Brock/Braun. They aren't going to have Braun win the title and I can't see them having Brock just beat Braun clean either.

If you are going to argue that WWE needs to save big matches for Mania so they can sell tickets then you have to give Roman Reigns credit for the last 3 Manias making a ton of money. Considering that everyone has been saying Roman had nothing to do with it and that Mania sells itself, it would seem that WWE doesn't NEED to save the biggest matches for Mania. With their issues selling out the B PPVs lately I'd say No Mercy needs this match more than Mania especially with the amount of tweets I have seen from people planning to travel to see it live who previously had no plans to go to No Mercy.
-
I'd say his PPV matches vs Sheamus were, as far as Cena PPV matches go, bad.
-
They didn't lose though. Roman ate the pin and you can go Lesnar vs. Braun or Joe and the crowd will be hot for it still. But Brocks not around often enough for those programs to be done immediately. He's going to be on Raw tonight and has already been advertised for the Raw PPV in September. Seems very likely they do Brock vs Braun there.

If you are predicting the death of Corbin's career because of the failed cash-in prepare to be wrong. It's not like winning with it has made anyone a full time main eventer other than Edge. Edit: I forgot about CM Punk cashing in on Jeff Hardy and was only thinking of his first one against Orton so that makes two since 2005.
-
I don't think losing the cash-in is really going to hurt Corbin considering that it's probably going to be used as motivation for him to kick the shit out of Cena at SummerSlam. If he beats Cena that probably does more for him than some opportunistic MITB cash-in that's been done a dozen times already.
