Honky knew how to get heat in even the most unexpected times... You've captured that well here... Enjoyed seeing Kerry go up against Bock. The Thunderfeet need a third foot...

Enjoyed a lot of things here but Savage and GIno continues to be my favorite part of the reading... Savage vs. Barbarian would have been fun. I like the use of Mike Davis here and thought you made a good move giving him the belt. Tremendously underrated and I enjoyed his stuff throughout his career all the way through Gobal... Well until he went crazy and got slingshot to the moon on a bungee cord and returned with a moon rock... For those unaware and think I'm making that up, no... that was a GWF angle...

Big time win for Jake over Garvin in the Loser Leaves match... For this time period this match would have been awesome in a top position on the card. Really fun here... Enjoyed the main event with Haynes producing Texas Red to help in his war with the Marauders. Fun show

Not that there was ever any doubt, but looks like we figured out who the master of the CLAW really is... Unless the Spoiler or Mulligan wants to come in and issue a challenge next... Got to see a lot of Gary Young during his USWA Dallas days on ESPN, 4 days a week, and later Global... Always enjoyed him in the heel role best... Love his push here. It was such a shame it took ten years in real life before he got any type of a regular push in a promotion with TV.... He shined whenever given the opportunity, whether it was in Amarillo in the early 80's, or his stint in Houston when he turned on Chavo... Glad to see him being used to his potential here... I've seen many Schultz promos throughout the fantasy world... They never disappoint. Love the crafty Bockwinkel. One of my favorites to write for when given the opportunity... Good stuff here with Bock and Steamer... and Kabuki....

Hey looks, when you kick a show off with Timbs vs. Mike Jackson and that's the "worst" match on the show, you know you've got pretty damn good show... Great match between Bundy and the Gang when both guys could really move around the ring... Something about seeing Muraco with a Ninja that just works... Vince dropped the ball on that in WWF in real life... Muraco could have sent Ninjas after Steamboat.... Though we did get that one karate vignette where Ricky beat up Ninjas, but without Muraco commentating it just wasn't very good... I had fun envisioning that here... I know, I need a life... Stud Stable make the Birds fly the coop. Good stuff.... Madril is SO underrated as a performer by most who didn't see him during his prime... Great match here with Brad... The Armstrongs continue to shine as Scott & Steve have another great bout with the Sheeps on the same card... The Bullet wins the title, but he's at risk of losing his mask at any given time. He will have to balance protecting his belt with protecting his mask. Great night of action from opener to the main.... Good use of all the Armstrongs. -
I don't recall Ivan Putski ever working heel in real life, unless it was very early in his career, but I love that you went with it... Between his natural ego on camera and the stories you hear about how crappy he treated fans and people people in general in real life, I think this works great for Putski... Some really great matches on this card too... Fabs vs. Enforcers, Murdoch & Adonis vs. Jayhawks, and my personal favorite Hennig vs. Regal....

Fun seeing the Dog and Rhodes together.... Boomer Lynch beats Rocky Kernodle, then Savage goes 30 minutes with him? I know it's fantasy and all you have to do is write something down to make it happen, but I'm just having a hard time with that one. I'm not sure if this got the effect you were looking for. I assume you were hoping this would boost Rocky's credibility after losing the belt, but for me it just hurt the Macho Man, who you've been doing a brilliant job with otherwise in the Gino saga..

Lots of big stars here. Really liking Tito Santana, and interested with what's up with Paul Orndorff moving ahead.... I know things are always subject to change, but that elimination match that was promised being cut in half to 2 teams really let the wind out of my sails as a fan. That felt too big to just scrap, though I'm sure you have your reasons. Probably wouldn't have stung as much if the main event didn't wind up in a Dusty finish as well. If the fans weren't happy before the main event, they were sure upset by the time Bret had to give the belt back.... Curious to see what happens in the Flair and DiBiase match. That has the potential to be the best match yet in the league...

84 feels a little early for me to buy Magnum beating Backlund and getting put in that spot but I'm curious to see what is planned next. I like the realistic set up of the program itself. Very fun read.

From a football standpoint, I can't tell you how sick I am of hearing that sentence.....

Agreed with Spaldoni about enjoying under card feuds.... It gives everyone more meaning when they're involved in something other than just jobbing or having a good opening match every week/month. The ONLY thing I liked about the Attitude Era was that everyone almost seemingly had a storyline or a position on the weekly programming. Nobody felt like they were just "there" to take up time on the show like they have for the past few years especially. My rule for myself is, if I have someone on my roster, and they're not designated to be specific for enhancement spot only, then either I need to come up with something for them within a couple of months or give them to somebody who can. Anyone hoarding names just so their roster looks cool but have no intention on using the talent properly is doing a disservice to their league and their fellow writers. I like that you want to take those guys like a McCord and give them something to do from time to time. Getting the most out of your entire roster. Good job with that. Slaughter proves to be the real deal for Stampede. Sad to see Nikita go, but curious what's next for the Russian Nightmare. I've never heard Heenan call a wrestler baby before... It was funny when he said "Ric baby". lol... Great match with tbe Bulldogs and the Harts... Interesting promo by Kiniski that followed... So you have Flair vs. Dibiase but that wasn't enough.... and then this....ELIMINATION MATCH: WINNER GETS A STAMPEDE TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Road Warriors vs Dr. Death & Many Fernandez vs The British Bulldogs vs Stan Hansen & Bad News Allen.... Somebody may very well be maimed in that tag match.... Huge card...

Stealing my thunder for the fall with this Dundee vs. Lawler stuff!!! Seriously, any time you can get this match on a show you're guaranteed a sellout. I'll just have to out do yours, that's all. Stu Jersky???

The actions was really good. Anderson vs. Horner is always a treat on any show. Mr. Torture turns on Hiro Saito. He got what he had coming. Next time he may throw a boulder through his front window... McDonalds anyone? Tough loss for the Checkmate who didn't get to showcase his true talent. That darn blond haired man. Just a bit of advice from a booking standpoint. This most recent show featured 5 tag matches, three of them 6-man tags, and all 5 tag matches were right in a row. Maybe try and separate it up a little so it doesn't feel repetitive to your spectators/readers.

Curious about the Mysterious Monk. There was a wrestler called The Monk around this time in real life, but this clearly is someone far more higher profile, lol.... If only Gino can woo Miss Liz away from the Macho Man. What a great feud this would have been in real life... Seeing Randy talk to Bob Caudle is also just a great vision.... I like the idea that Savage doesn't need to trust Valentine, all he needs to know is that the enemy or his enemy is his friend..... grasshopper

seeing Steamboat in there with Tama and Samu against the Midnights and Bockwinkel. I can only imagine the classic action we would have gotten. Not to mention the NINE matches before such an insane main event. Lots of futurestars here breaking out right now with Tatum, Youngbloods, Houston, Powers & Savoldi, Honky, Doll & Simpson... Then you have names like Stuff, Dr. D, Brode, Iceman, Windham and the Von Erichs on the UNDERCARD... what a stacked show!
-
While Don Carson was a bit aged by this point he was a great heel and would have made a good foil in a match that was likely wrestled more by the Superstar. And having Superstar in their with the Armstrongs is going to be a great match every time. Also can't wait to see what the Ripper does. I wish him luck on his goal of becoming the Champ!

Great promo by Terrific Terry. Enjoyed it a lot. Rough night for Bravo.

It doesn't get any better than a Bullet vs. Buddy Landel strap match. Between the solid work from both ends and then seeing Landel sell being drug around the ring... It's just main event money all day... Then the Lights out match... What a show.... If only we could have seen a lucid Gordy vs. a mobile Hercules in their primes in real life like this.... Amazing match. Honestly, from the opener all the way until the unsanctioned finale there was no bad match on the card. Talk about getting your money's worth. -
You can't go wrong with Iceman and Pez on the same side. Sprinkle in a little Tiger and you've got a fun faction here. There's something funky about Garvin and Young both using the same moniker, but I love that group as well. Tatum and Young deserved more in their careers. Loved watching them 4 days a week on ESPN on USWA and then later 5 days a week on GWF. Looks like Studdwinkel © ® (TM) are having their issues in putting the Von Erichs away. Some fun matches between the Windhams and the Midnights, and also Windham vs. Garvin. Good use of the roster. Solid house shows and a stacked TV.

Arn is still a little young here so I'd imagine he learned a lot here working a Broadway with someone the caliber of Martel. Would have been a fun match for sure. The fans were given a real treat. If you're going to hit a guy like Butch Reed with a purse, you better believe it best be loaded! Not that Mr. Saito needs to use a loaded purse to put a man down, but it made for a good visual! Patera and Blackwell may be spreading themselves too thin if they start worrying about anything other than their big tag match with Muraco and Sawyer. If they know what's good for them they'll stay away from the legend that is Harley Race.

Bret vs. Flair will deliver between their technical abilities and Flair leading the way. Doc & Manny vs. Orndorff & Hennig reads like a main event on paper. Another one sure to deliver. Dibiase seemingly finds himself some backup when dealing with the Russians. Having Bad News to back him up should even the odds a little as he goes into the ring against the Russian Nightmare Quite the stacked roster

Would have enjoyed such a thing as Saturday Night Special on a free tv basis back in this year. Really liking Buddy Landel here. Really fun match with Bamm Bamm and Dibiase and the post match stuff was equally enjoyable. Not that I am shocked, but some really clever angles and fun booking here. Enjoyed the read. -
Looks like Wells will have his hands full with Mr. Fergie Heck of a 6 man with Adonis and Murdoch as the mystery guys. That match was filled with my faves.... On the house show, with the Fabs and the Cubans working the main, I don't know that I was a fan of seeing them run out during the Idol and Putski match earlier in the show. I get why they did, but being in the main event it seems like they all should have had bigger things to worry about. That said, I'm always happy when Idol Mania gets a win. Hoping Denny Brown can turn things around. I have a new found respect for his ability after watching those Bashes that were recently uploaded to the Network from 1986. He had a time limit draw with Steve Regal that was just phenomenal, I recommend anyone check it out. Very underrated and clearly talented when given the ability to shine. Another couple of fun shows.

Nothing wrong with that... Dusty took gimmick names and show names from pop culture all the time. Everything from Star(r)cade to the Midnight Rider to "True Grit" to the James Gang... Man, did Dusty love him some John Wayne! That said, Slater and Borne make an excellent team.

Agreed with Jesse on the statement of booking Portland with a financial backer (other than Tom Peterson). Thoroughly enjoyed the shows here. I'll also agree, the Maruaders name does feel a little... unimaginative... but I'm sure their ring work will make us forget all about that. I've seen worse team names in real life, lol... Loving the idea of Garvin and Jake. Piper was fun here too, no surprise but still had to say it.
