  1. He's about right on the money, sadly. You should have asked about what he thinks of Ric Flair blading on TV at 60, selling his Hof watch, owing money to Highspots and being complete embarrasment in general. We talked about that too. I believe the words he used were "fucking sad." He also was talking about how Dixie Carter may be the single biggest money mark in the long history of money marks.
  2. I met Shane in December, and while we were chatting I asked him how he felt about his former partner being on television again. His response was "proof that wearing a nice suit and sucking every ass above you will get you money, power, and no dignity."
  3. So on RAW during a Kane/Big Show match, a masked man wearing a dress shirt stood up in the crowd, ripped off the shirt and then the mask, revealing Shane Douglas. He then got a section of the arena chanting ECW, before hauling ass out of the arena as security started to converge. Interesting way to promote his Extreme Reunion show.
  4. How about: George Steele Barry Horowitz Manny Fernandez Barry Darsow Tatanka CW Anderson Perry Saturn Tom Zenk Al Snow Dave Taylor Paul Burchill Van Hammer Jimmy Del Rey Tony Mamaluke Damien 666
  5. Haven't paid the closest attention to ROH, have they actually been feuding enough to warrent a gimmick match? The Bucks are credited with causing the injury to Rhett's knee, so it's a revenge thing.
  6. A different angle would have worked wonders, instead we have Roddy and Eddie looking like bird chested guys with bad haircuts.
  7. They wrestled in ECW as the Samoan Gangsta Party. It was Samu, and a very young Rosey (of 3 Minute Warning fame)
  8. I'm not going to lie, I like most of Austin's movies. Hunt to Kill was terrible as was The Stranger, but The Condemned, Damage, and Knockout were all watchable. Tactical Force is also decent, but not as good as the other three I mentioned. He did one with Danny Trejo, but I haven't seen it yet.
  9. Is Quiet Storm still around? I always liked that kid.
  10. I knew Wade wasn't just selling when him yelling "Fuck" caused the commentary to get muted.
  11. Colt Cabana is still doing the Matt Classic gimmick. He has made appearances in Chikara and PWG using the gimmick, and recently wrestled Jerry Lawler for some indy promotion using it. and Loss, the character that Joey Ryan is portraying in that Wrestling Revolution Project is exactly what your looking for. A homosexual who doesn't act effeminate or wear pink or whatever, he's just a wrestler who happens to be gay.
  12. Also loved The Midnight Express theme. For in house WCW themes, I always dug the Hollywood Blondes theme (that then got used for about 50 other people)
  13. Holy Shit, that is fantastic.....
  14. I can't really say why, but when I was 9 years old.....Beefcake was my favorite guy on the roster other than Savage.
  15. Has there ever been a positive word said about the announcing of Duke Doherty? That of Superstar Billy Graham? That of Larry Zbyszko or Rob Bartlett? Are there people today who claim that Sid or Giant Gonzalez was really underrated? Looking back at stuff you first saw a while ago doesn't mean that you're flip-flopping your opinion on it. Plenty of times it results in saying, "Oh, yeah, now I remember why I hated that." I actually have a friend who ranks Larry as one of his two favorite announcers. He also likes late 90's WCW. I also wanted to bring up Joey Styles, who seemed to be universally loved during the time ECW was around, but now seems to have a fair amount of detractors.
  16. I would like to interject that talking about what kids today know is a fairly moot point. I worked the past 4 years at a public high school, and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt.....these kids are fucking stupid. Self entitled, over privileged, egocentric....and really stupid. That doesn't really have much to do with anything, but it makes me feel better to say it....sorry. However, to make a better point, a lady I worked with whose son went to the school was a wrestling fan. He thinks Randy Orton is the best wrestler alive, he thought that the Chikara I loaned him was "gay" and he thought most of the matches on the Ric Flair DVD that WWE put out were "long and boring" Ugggh....

  18. I also enjoyed the six man tag.....Balls, Axl, Shah, Balls, Axl, Shah
  19. If were going with the Dudleys ripping fans to shreds, I present....... Heatwave 1999
  20. El Generico has had fantastic matches in multiple companies during that time period, and is over everywhere he goes. Probably not enough, but I thought I would toss him out there.
  21. Here it is!
  22. Look at Johnny Saint, still entertaining as hell at age 70. I would say when the crowd is concerned by you taking a bump, instead of being entertained, it is time to hang it up. I was at a show the other night where the Rock and Roll Express and the Midnight Express were beating up the owner of the company, and DDP ran in for the save. Who took the Diamond Cutter.....Dennis Condrey. My first reaction was "of all the fucking guys in that ring, Dennis takes the bump?"
  23. Best news I've read in weeks. That is fantastic news! I honestly hope he has one last good WWE run, and then maybe finds a way to work some indy shots or something. Would love to see him, Finlay, and Dave Taylor at King of Trios!!
  24. I'd heard she opened a Sports Bar somewhere in Canada.
  25. Fuck Joe and Kobashi....I miss looking at Jade Chung.
