  1. I know they are setting up Darby and Orange as the saviors of AEW in this angle against Moxley and crew, but damn would this be an amazing time for Eddie Kingston to come back and lead the fight and win the big one.
  2. You all might want to take a look on the first page cause I think a bunch of Free Agents from when Last Stop Tour got a roster and immediately fired 95% of it never made it back into the free agents list. I definitely see Brian Lee and Bill Dundee missing, but I am sure there are others.
  3. Have they said if the PPV's will be free with a Max subscription like the WWE shows currently are with Peacock, or will they be money on top of a Max subscription like the UFC shows are with ESPN+
  4. I absolutely don't think he should be the person to beat Danielson. At this point, I'm not sure who that should be. But I do think this new gimmick is something interesting and exciting for him, and I think the promo that opened the show last night was fantastic.
  5. I'm glad they are finally realizing that the fans like The Outrunners! Fantastic promo by Moxley to start the show. At least to me, AEW is starting to feel like a product that is trending in the right direction again. For a while there it felt stagnant and pointless. Hopefully if they can be consistent and get some people and angles hot it will help the crowd size problem too. I do think sooner rather than later, the Jericho problem has to get addressed though. His shit is consistently the weakest part of the show. It's time for him to go.
  6. I thought Giulia looked good in her debut. Not sure about the animal pelt on the back of her outfit, and I thought Chelsea maybe took a little too much of the match, but all in all I think it came off well.
  7. That's amazing. I certainly hope that becomes available to see outside of visiting The Estonian Sports and Olympic Museum, because I can't see that being in my travel plans anytime soon.

Maybe I am biased for being a huge fan, but I thought Nigel looked pretty damn good for a guy whose last match was in December of 2011
  9. Just checking out what you all have going here and saw a few things: David Taylor is listed in both ECW and WCW Johnny Gunn and Tom Brandi are the same person. Dick Slater retired from injury in 1996 Doink the Clown is listed in free agency and the WAR section. (Assuming this is supposed to be Ray Apollo, and not Matt Borne, cause if it's the latter, he's also listed as himself)

It's amazing that Jeff Jarrett has gone from a guy who had Go Away heat from like 1999 to 2014 to getting deafening pops at 57 years old.

Swerve did indeed come out with Rave's Embassy jacket draped over his shoulders. That's a nice tribute.

    Is that Jimmy Rave's coat?

They are going to need a long video package to fix that streamer issue!

Nigel was my favorite wreatler for much of the RoH era and I was there the night that he had his last match in a VFW that smelled like piss and had stray cats running around, so I am SO happy to see this moment. That should never have been how his career ended.

If you didn't see Collision last night, the crowd totally shit on Hook and popped for everything that Big Bill did to the point that he couldn't contain his amusement.

Brian Cage and Sammy Guevara both dressing like Wolverine while on opposite teams in the same match is pretty funny.
  17. I could see them leaving Tonga Loa out of the match, and having Rock come in last.
  18. During my local ring announcing tenure, Sullivan worked several shows for the promoter and he was always the nicest guy and very easy to talk too. I'll always remember him browsing through the pile of DVDs I brought to sell at the merch table and engaging me in conversation about Ring of Honor and who from there we thought was good enough to make it to WWE. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
  19. It does make Wembley seem like a foregone conclusion, but maybe follows it up by saying that whenever he loses the title he is finished? It would make every defense an absolute must see match, and when he finally does go down, it puts someone over huge.
  20. Past the very brief "Wow, a McMahon in another company" it does absolutely nothing for AEW except for make them look like they are clutching at anything they can to be relevant. It would be different if he offered anything but name value, but the man is 54 years old, was seemingly never much of a booker/storyline guy, and the last time he was in the ring looked like he was going to fucking die.
  21. Taking the title off of Billie Starkz this quickly has to be to build her as Athena's opponent for Final Battle again, right? Otherwise, what's the point?
  22. I'm not denouncing the new.War Games/Blood & Guts, as for the most part I have enjoyed them for what they are. But I still think there is a big difference between them. Previously War Games was presented as a hate filled, gritty, blood feud, last ditch effort to get the cheating heels and give them no way out (well at least the early ones thru 94, I won't defend anything post Hogan) These new ones are spectacles full of high spots, plunder, and death defying moments. Athletically, the new ones are a thousand times more exciting than the originals. Spot wise, they probably are as well. But to me they lack that feeling of the originals, the stakes if you will. When the Horseman or the Dangerous Alliance were finally forced into that cage, it felt like they were FINALLY going to get what was coming go them. It's never been made to feel that way for The Undisputed Era or The Elite. But, that is probably just a problem of modern booking and not the match itself. However, because of it, I will still take Wargames '92 over anything produced by WWE or AEW
  23. I mean, there are already a ton of people who think it's a work. Once Hogan's version with a squad of snipers, the entire North Korean army, and Trump tearing every muscle in his back body slamming a 2000 plus pound Andre the Giant a mere 12 hours before he died starts making the rounds......
  24. Whether people like the style or not, the pace those two kept for an hour is absolutely fucking bonkers.
  25. O'Spreay and MJF opening up Dynamite 250, and they are about 45 minutes into what I am assuming is going to be an hour broadway and they've managed to keep it entertaining. (If you like the AEW style) Great start to the show IMO
