The "Shoes Off if you Hate Zack Gibson" chant was one of the oddest and funniest things I have ever seen. Both shows were pretty enjoyable. The Shayna/Toni Storm match was a lot of fun.

Ugghh.... The new board doesn't take you to the specific point in the thread where you were last reading, that sucks. But, I'm glad it's back up!!

I've enjoyed both episodes so far, but I do have to agree that it seems like they are rushing things. Aztec Warfare and Grave Consequences in the first 3 episodes. Beating clean in the 2nd episode. The matches feel super edited and fast, even Melissa Santos feels like she is rushing. I dunno, it just seems like the whole thing is in fast forward right now.

Antonio Cueto looks so ridiculous, that I don't even care if he is real or Dario in disguise. Absolutely hilarious, and like El-P said "Very B Movie" I definitely didn't think Aztec Warfare would come out this early in the season, and it unfortunately felt like a whole lot of filler until Fenix showed up. Could have done without Mr. Pec-tacular, and certainly didn't want to see Hernandez again. Dreamer was awesome, and smaller or not, I am so glad to see Cuerno back in the mix. Definitely one of my favorite characters from the show. Not to keen on Muertes going that fast. No Cage, or Aerostar, or Drago? Interesting Pentagon vs Matanza! Yeah, first episode was a little rocky, but it's still L.U. and I am still along for the ride!!

If that means they have a full, non-clipped version of the whole '87 Crockett Cup, that is my new holy grail. First wrestling VHS my parents ever bought me. Still have it in the giant, plastic clamshell packaging! That opening video package to "The Hit" by Richard Myhill still makes me mark out!!

Buddy Murphy going from bland tag team guy in the early days of network NXT to guy who is having amazing performances every single time he is on 205 Live is being slept on by pretty much everyone.....but Holy Shit, Buddy Murphy is fucking awesome! -

The guy he is fighting likely wouldn't even be in the UFC if he wasn't being brought in to fight Punk. He is 33 years old, and has an 0-1 MMA record. However, his loss is to the same guy that demolished Punk, and he is apparently a pretty good Muay Thai guy. So, unless Punk has improved significantly, he is probably getting knocked out to end this experiment. -
How do you feel about Volk Han, now?

But they have to be wearing ring gear all the time because they never know when.... that match....is going to happen....right now!!!!

I am probably the only one, but I always loved Terry Gordy's Oriental Spike. Simple and effective. -
Thanks for the info! Just finished the first episode, not too bad. Super odd hearing Schiavone calling modern indy wrestling!

This sounds fun, where is the best place to catch it?

Did the main roster make up team get hold of Kairi Sane this week? Yeesh.

The Innovation of the Tapout in Pro Wrestling

There is a match between Sting and Kane (Bruiser Mastino) from the 3/6/93 WCW Saturday Night on the WWE Network Hidden Gems section, and it certainly appears that Jacobs taps to the Scorpion Deathlock. -
If he is out again, that was the best possible Daniel Bryan/Big Cass feud.

"With a heart that is heavy, and tears that are soaked, I'm sorry to hear you're old man croaked!"

The announcers have been forced to spout off awful tag lines for years. "The WWF runs on Diesel Power!"

As a kid I watched all of the WWF and NWA I could. I watched AWA when it was on, I watched Global and World Class when I could catch it. But in the 90's when WCW was running Hogan versus the Dungeon of Doom and WWF was giving us Sparky Plugg.....I discovered ECW. Here I was in high school, grunge was still a thing, I was growing my hair long and smoking cigarettes cause I thought I was fucking cool, and I discovered a wrestling that no one in my stupid little West Virginia town had ever heard of (or so I thought!) So every Saturday night I stayed up until 2 or 3 in the morning to watch this crazy ass wrestling on the sports channel out of Pittsburgh. About half the time they didn't bother to show it, and then I'd be super pissed off. I'd tape it and show my buddies. I ordered the EC F'N W t-shirt and thought I was even cooler! Then Barely Legal came around and it was awesome! Then the Sports Channel stopped showing it and I had to follow it on the early days of the internet which was a giant pain in the ass, but I continued buying the PPV's until the end. Now I own most of the TV and all of the PPV's on DVD and I am making my way back through it. So yeah, while today I am a PWG guy....all time, I am an ECW guy, and I probably always will be.

Based off some talk in the WWE Network Thread, I was pondering Top WWF Babyfaces from 1989-1991. Hogan and Warrior are obviously a run away 1 and 2. Based on talk in that thread, it seems that Beefcake can pretty comfortably be named #3. Who do folks have to round out a Top 5? I feel pretty comfortable slotting "Hacksaw" in at #4. A constant and over babyface that could work virtually anywhere on the card. For #5, man you got Dusty, Piper, Tito, Bret, Bulldog, maybe the Bushwhackers. My choice.... Demolition. After they turned face, they were huge (bigger than LOD ever got in WWF in my opinion) and they remained that way until they were turned and fed to LOD. Who you got? -
Not gonna lie, I was a huge "Barber" fan when I was like 10! Looking back, sure Beefcake was mediocre at best in the ring, but like C.S. said, he was really, really fucking over. It's kind of sad that the rest of his career turned him into a joke, because in 89/90 he was probably the third biggest babyface in the United States behind Hogan and The Warrior.

My wife hates wrestling but always thought Chris Jericho and Christian (circa 1998ish) were hot. A girl I work with who catches me watching wrestling when I should be working thinks Ricochet is one of the hottest guys she has ever seen. Me? I'm with whoever pointed out modern day Drew McIntyre. That's a god damn handsome man. As for women.... Beulah is still my all time favorite.
