I thought the ultimate troll was when he said he had 37 matches in the G1 rated over 4*.which is lower than the consensus of 40.what consensus is he talking about.

My favorite match of night 1 was Dom vs Royal. Night 2 was Riddle vs Gunner.
-
Nope. Just happened when they switched websites.

We get some pre match interviews from both guys. This is one hell of a brawl. You believe the hatred right off the bat. This is one hell of a potato fest. They're fighting and slamming each other on the announce table. The sound from the brawl really adds to the chaos. Adams steals a win. Kevin nails Chris with a chair. Adams is bleeding big time. Still this was a believable hate filled brawl.A bit on the short side. 4*,

7/9/17 Progress Matt Riddle vs Walter 4 3/4* This was epic. It kinda had a WCCW brawl with Terry Gordy. These guys beat crap out of each other. Both guys chests were red as hell. They even had blood blisters . Then it gets physical with high impact moves. What these guys did with leg kicks was nuts. I loved Walter slowly breaking down Riddle's neck. From Riddle no selling German Suplexes to Walter breaking him down. Eventually Walter targets that neck and Riddle slowly begins to show pain. Eventually Walter chokes him out. Such great stuff.

On the newest spotlight they didn't mention the Hidden Gems for the month. It could mean nothing, but the last 2 times they were doing it we got a glimpse of what to expect on the hidden gems.

This really is one of the all time blow offs of a feud. Hell 82,83, and 84 were all great chapters to this epic feud. This is totally hate filled. They use the cage as a weapon. I loved the use of the Ace bandage as a weapon. The crowd was wicked hot for this. Hayes bleeding big time. Kerry working the cut. The sleeper spot was over huge. Kerry's payback to it gets a huge pop. This is worked with a sense of urgency. Buddy Robert's takes an incredible crotch bump on top of the cage. Fritz slams Gordy's head with the cage door as payback to Christmas 82. Kerry pins Hayes, and everything is tied up in a bow. We get 8 minutes of the 9 minute 50 sec match. One of the all time great blow offs. 4 1/2*

We get about 16 minutes and this is such a joy to watch. This is fresh off the Flair and Steamboat's fight at tv where Steamboat's eye is a total mess. This is very hate filled. We see Flair work over Steamboat's eye much like he did Morton's nose in 86. He also worked over Steamer's ribs with punches, and some nasty knees, and knee drops. So we see Flair use a 2 pronged attack. Steamboat was great with his selling, and hope spots. He also mixed in some nasty hate filled moments. He would use chokes, violent acts. When Flair started bleeding Steamboat attacks the cut. The final scene before we fade to black is Steamer biting the cut. What we saw was incredible and looks to be 5*. With that said we don't have the complete match so it's not fair to truly judge it.

Superfly is Ray Candy. I'm a mark for Lothario's capes, ponchos etc. Jose working the arm. Candy using some rough house tactics to turn the tide. Jose gets some seperation. Jose throws a wicked upper cut, but misses. Jose moves to a bear hug. A shitty nerve hold by Candy, but at least he cheats for leverage. So so match.
-
Bundy with the bear hug early. Lothario counters immediately. Bundy working the crowd. Lothario on the arm. Bundy returns the favor. Jose snaps off a boot to counter. Bundy refusing to give up the headlock even when Jose tries to push him off. Jose with some wicked kicks to the leg gets some seperation. Jose gives Bundy a taste of his left, and then his right. Lothario gets Bundy on his back. Jose twisting the leg. Eye rake by Bundy . Bundy using his weight to lean on Jose. Jose is the master at using his punches as hope spots. Bundy hits an Avalanche in the corner, but misses the 2nd. Jose at a last 2nd run hitting a barrage of punches. We get a time limit draw. Jose wants more, but Bundy takes a powder. 2 1/2*

[1982-10-12-WCCW] Al Madril & Jose Lothario vs Checkmate & Magic Dragon
shoe replied to soup23's topic in October 1982
I think they missed the boat with Checkmate as a heel. We get a feeling out process. Finally they get heat on Madril. Love Madril's counter of the hammerlock. A hope spot by Madril only to get cut off by Dragon. Jose and Checkmate in and Jose hits him with great punches. Checkmate working a chin lock. Crowd rallying behind Jose. Heels cheating behind the refs back. Jose with a really nice looking back breaker. Madril in and peppers Checkmate with a barrage of punches. Heels getting heat on Madril. Overall it was an ok match. 2 1/4* -
These guys worked each other in Houston , so they bring their match to WCCW. We see some early grappling. Both guys using the arm drag. The lucha spot was a bit clumsy, but got over pretty big. Jose's left hook was so nasty. Man he has one of the all time great punches. Another big punch and Marcus is reeling. Top rope arm drag from Jose. Another fun match with a shit finish.
-
This only went about 5 minutes and felt more like the first few minutes of a match than a full match. It was a cheap finish. I did like Spoiler working the hammerlock which is smart to try to take out Lothario's big left. Spoiler working the rib cage I liked also. Still what they did I liked, just not enough time to get the whole picture of what a 15 minute match would have been like.
-
Both guys throwing bombs to start. These guys are brawling all over the Sportatorium. This is a lot of fun. I like how McGraw combines the brawling with some comedy. Lothario's mounted punches are nasty. He showed good fire. I also loved the finish as a way to put heat on the heel. 3 1/4*

This is a feud that went to a lot of different places. They wrestled in Houston last week. Gordman sneaks attacks to start. Love Jose starts his comeback with a great punch, and than a beautiful Lucha arm drag spot. Jose throws 2 of the nasiest lefts I've ever seen. I enjoyed Gordman going after the ribs. Then we get a big punch exchange. I loved Gordman's delayed bump off the punch. Fun bout, not nearly as heated as in Houston. Still a fun bout. 2 1/2*
