I often wonder what would have happened if WCW had signed Bret in '92. Realistically he would have probably remained a dependable mid-card guy, but I further wonder what would have happened if WCW took a different tact than being "where the big boys play". If, for example, they managed to get not only Bret but Shawn as well. Essentially, leaving McMahon with Hogan and Savage, and depending more and more on the 80's guys.

One I'd like to see is Hogan/Savage vs. Jake/Berzerker, which I believe was a dark match. Hulk and Randy's body language as partners in early '92 would be very interesting to watch as I'm pretty sure they weren't getting along personally at this point. They probably spent a good 10-15 minutes in the ring at the Royal Rumble that year, and barely looked at each other.

I listen to podcasts on iTunes, and regularly skip over anything I find tiresome or annoying, and try to find a point where it gets interesting again. Amazingly not as hard as it sounds. The shtick is what it is, and I don't mind it. I can tell they genuinely like each other and that makes it less grinding for me. If they somehow had to force it on, then I'd probably tune it out.

One of next month's collection features Ric Flair matches and segments largely from 1982 up until 1991. There is a match dated 6/29/1991, with him and Scott Hall as the Diamond Studd against Bobby Eaton and Yellow Dog.

I noticed on one of the new Prime Time's, that the "Superstars Of Wrestling" logo is still blurred.

It's a small difference. But what my thinking is is that this would feel like the origin story to the character on television, if there was never a Vince McMahon behind it.

I read some more on reddit. Someone remarked that it could have been a fake script sent to MLW. If it is the real deal I am sure Vince and WWE Films will change it. Linda is described as very sexual and that Vince meets her at a strip club. It feels more like the Mr. McMahon backstory than Vince's.

Quite honestly, just judging from what I saw of the pre-show (which I jokingly thought it was smart of them to put him on the side of the panel), I really didn't notice him acting weird at all. I think the issue of the current format clashing with the format as it was when he was active, can certainly be a problem with not just him but others too.

Offerman as Ole Anderson would be excellent. JK Simmons as Verne Gagne. Michael Fassbender would make a good Vince, though I suspect he'll lay off bio pics after playing Steve Jobs.

Considering his openness in the Playboy interview and elsewhere, I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't as sanitized as some of us might assume it will be. The casting news (and reactions from both wrestling and movie fans) for this will be quite amusing to watch. My "Wrestler/Actor" thread will probably get quite popular again for this reason. Just off the top of my head I'd like to see the woman who played the Nancy Grace surrogate in Gone Girl to play Linda.
