  1. Link?
  2. You can hear some animosity going both ways at the Halloween Havoc show they did together.
  3. Too bad they disliked each other immensely when they were in WCW.
  4. I think about that a bit too JvK but the Mr. McMahon character is so ingrained in people's minds now it would be weird to see him in the booth again. Honestly if Shane ever comes back I think he'd be great as lead announcer. I remember when he did it for awhile on their MTV show with Jim Cornette and he came off pretty well. As to the question, I don't think it's always been perfect. Their best people were Vince, Bobby, Jesse and Monsoon. I've often spoke about my dissatisfaction with Lawler as Heenan's replacement, and I really didn't begin to appreciate him until Paul Heyman replaced him who I hated in the booth then. This was probably one of my favorite moments of Raw ever. http://youtu.be/VsF2l8c5Os8?list=LLEJaY88iIto9lXe23XnHPuw
  5. I believe this was discussed before here, but to just bring it up again, how good a chance is there of the Network being able to have Raw and Smackdown on-demand much sooner than what it is currently provided they end their deal with Hulu?
  6. It seemed like Jake Roberts was going to do one for '91. He would have been a perfect choice.
  7. I thought that was a house show.
  8. I mentioned this in a related thread, but if I remember correctly, the audience was booing because nothing was being shown on their huge TV screen where they would normally have replays and such on. It was either not functioning or they just didn't show it to get a more negative reaction that could play well on TV.
  9. Weren't the house lights down during the actual fall?
  10. This and Owen's death are definitely apples and oranges. It's one thing to die in a stupid stunt only related to make someone in the other company look silly, but we're considering what would have happened if someone died during an actual match, as well as being broadcast live. It would have not only caused dissension outside the wrestling bubble but very well in it too. It's a wonder that the PR nightmares Vince has had to live through were virtually all things that happened outside the ring,
  11. I think also if it had happened with more perilous results, would it be reaching to say that any chance of the company going public would have been in tatters?
  12. That's downright masochism.
  13. He also had a bit part in a movie Shane McMahon's wife was a producer on, the rather derivative Willem Dafoe vehicle Anamorph.
  14. I heard it wasn't supposed to break through at all, Taker would pin him on top of the cage with the ref counting below. FWIW, I think the bump he used at the end of the match with Orndorff at SuperBrawl 3 was just as, if not more dangerous. A few inches in the wrong direction and he'd probably be at least braindead.
  15. If he was paralyzed I'd imagine there would have been huge media uproar, lawsuits and general national dissension and disillusion towards wrestling. If he was killed, those things would just be the tip of the iceberg. WCW would be out of business by 2000, and Vince would probably be wrapped up in lawsuits for the rest of his natural life.
  16. Wikipedia says he was born in Omaha, Nebraska. For some reason I always thought he was really from California, even in some of the shoot-y things he did for TNA.
  17. Good news, the Raw Flashbacks are coming back this week.
  18. People were chanting "Paula" at Orndorff.
  19. Was he ever a heel beside the run as "The Model"?
  20. I let my subscription renew, but haven't really watched anything of value since.
  21. ^ That pretty much. He seems rather unlikable either way, to me anyway.
  22. DiBiase winning the WrestleMania IV tournament instead of Savage. And it probably would have happened too if Vince wasn't so hung up on the Honky Tonk Man gimmick.
