Ehh... Am I the only one who considers Trish wildly overrated? There were at least a 5-6 other women during her era who were better than she was IMO, and that's in WWE alone. You could argue technically there were better ones, sure, but the division was built around her. And because of that, you could argue that she was the godmother of the Women's ®Evolution. When she won her first title, it ended the last time there was any hiatus of any women's title in a promotion that saw many hiatuses of women's titles.

Seconded. What a treat that was to watch. Whenever I get to see Ladd footage I hadn't before, I never cease to be entertained. What makes him great in the WWWF was how just about every other heel had a manager (he had the Grand Wizard, but...) that spoke for them. Meanwhile, Ladd talked, and did it far differently and probably better than a manager could for him. Heck, in this promo, the way he put other heels over as legit (in his own mind, of course) did that job too. He really stood out amongst the heels in the Northeast, IMO. I don't know if I'd say he was ahead of his time with that (although he could be, being among the first African American heels), but he went against the grain in many ways...and excelled doing so. One of the greatest all-time greats. I haven't looked into this in detail, but it could be the case that since every WWWF heel had to have a manager, the ones who were strong talkers tended to be paired with the Grand Wizard. In addition to Ladd, he also managed Superstar Billy Graham, Blackjack Mulligan, and Sgt. Slaughter. Perhaps, but Wizard still spoke for guys like Graham, as shown with the content drop they gave. "Look at the arms!" Admittedly, this is also a bit of personal taste of mine, as I have higher praise for Ladd than Graham.

I liked the Jericho&Henry/Club and Enzo&Cass/Dudleys episodes, but yeah, otherwise it's a show that doesn't do anything for me.

Also legit from a WWE perspective! = Okay, who presents: Some suggestions: John Cena Eric Angle (change things up, go with a family member who at least has made an appearance on WWF TV) Maybe Shane or Austin Maybe Bruno?

Absolutely loved this, as good as I hoped it would be. I had low expectations of what the footage would be like, but never mind watchable, it was very prestine! It does make me wonder what other shows from back then are full and in this good of condition. Loved the finish (I normally don't make a big deal out of blood, but Buzz's bladejob was exactly what was needed out of a blowoff like this) and the Ole-Ellering battle. The Hidden Gems collection as a whole is fun. Love seeing any old Thesz title defense where he's playing the heel; he does some great little things where he's still being "legit", but you ask, "Why does he need to do that?". The Muhammed Ali stuff, with Verne, Vince, Bock, etc. felt like the biggest thing ever. Would love to see more big AWA shows from the 70s get released. A lot of other stuff I've seen, but it's nice to see them keep up the historical stuff on the Network alongside the fun, new stuff.

Fitting but sad, as watching RAW in 1993, Bobby felt like one of the few "older" guys who still had a place. I think RAW got better from about the fall of 1993 going into 1994 (I'm at just after WMX in my viewing right now), but they were aimless as far as commentators go. -
I know Savage wanted to work in the ring more, but the times he did (aside from maybe the Doink stuff) from '93 to his exit had a real special feel to them, as opposed to Perfect regularly working. This angle was no exception. Perfect character change for Crush, great reasoning for it, and perfect for Savage, whose babyface work against bigger guys was strong.

I kinda felt Perfect felt out of place as a regular competitor by this point, with Savage being mostly a commentator and a number of guys from earlier in the year leaving (Hogan, Beefcake, Boss Man, Nasty Boys, etc.). Shawn had a strong first half of '93, but I thought the Perfect feud was a step down for that reason. The IC title angle with Ramon got him back on track. -

Saw this not too long ago as part of a viewing project on the Network I'm doing in my spare time. Could be wrong here, but I think the only real notable thing of this match is the debut of Shawn's (non-Sherri) music that he would use for the rest of his career aside from the DX theme. -
This is a tough one, as I enjoy the unique positives of all of them. I initially had elder statesman Vince as dead last, until I realized he had the best match of all the Vinces (vs. CM Punk on RAW). I like that match even more than WMX7 vs. Shane. So now I'm really not sure. Goes without saying, but all four smoke the other family members like cheap cigars.

As awesome as Brock was, and as capable as Reigns was, another 10 minutes would've been silly. The match with Orton at SummerSlam last year showed that Reigns going long doesn't always result in the best of matches. I think Brock did better with 15 minutes with Roman than Orton did with about the same amount of time, but at the same time, the match was laid out better. Plus, with that match layout, and them hitting bombs, a half-hour match wouldn't have worked in a realistic sense. 17 minutes, most of which was Lesnar-Reigns in a manliness battle, couple with a couple minutes of the angle, worked just fine. Rock-Rousey angle, and Sting-HHH were both long, but otherwise, no complaints about the time spent on each segment, although I would've liked to have seen the Divas get 10 minutes.

- I'm not what you would call a big Daniel Bryan fan. He's had some great matches, but I can't get into him as a character that much, regardless as to whether he's a face or a heel. When he was a face, the playing-to-the-crowd "YES!" promos got tiresome for me, and when he was a heel, he wasn't all that hateable either. - On top of that, I kinda get not having him in the main event of WrestleMania this year. He had a big moment the year before that couldn't have possibly been equaled at all this year, plus the WWE, like it or not, is all about building the brand more than building stars. They pretty much want to have as much in the way of consistent revenue and business across the board, and hard to do that on the backs of a few people knowing they might be gone for whatever reason. I get that; it's similar to how modern workplaces work. - Glitches, flaws and all, I LOVE the WWE's video games. Play them far more than I watch RAW, often at times during RAW in fact. - I too like the Miz. In fact, I was a huge fan of the obnoxiousness of Miz, Alex Riley and heel Michael Cole. Three doofus heels who really needed to be put in their place.

Like everyone else, Vince wins this for me by light years. Of the other three, Linda. Not exactly a "great" performer, but as the "Jack Tunney" of the family, she wasn't asked to do much, appeared rarely enough that something at least somewhat important was happening, and didn't become cartoonish and overbearing like the kids did. Vince became cartoonish too, but there's a difference between cartoonish Vince and cartoonish Shane/Steph.

- My local indy (C*4) always drawing 300+ standing room only crowds. - Old angles lasting no longer than five minutes. They got to the point. - The WWE Network. Despite its flaws, despite it being still in beta mode, I still love it. - WrestleMania was fun. There's more, but those are the things on my mind right now.

I really hope this isn't true, but MetsFan4Ever stated that the WWE deep down feels that WCW Monday Nitro was FAR superior to RAW in 1997, and they don't want WCW to have too much attention. Thus, right now anyway, they're in no rush to upload more episodes.

Still have to figure out a vote here, as it's either the 2nd, 3rd or 4th options. I'm not going to pretend it's been a great build; heck, I hardly watch RAW or Smackdown at least semi-regularly because WWE TV has been so unwatchable. However, since getting the Network, I do catch the PPVs, among other things. I dunno, the lack of commercials helps. There are some things I'm interested in: Cena-Rusev, Orton-Rollins, the main event just for the crowd possibilities, the stadium atmosphere that I'm a sucker for, etc. I haven't been extraordinarily fired up for a Mania since at the most recent probably 26. I'm hoping that this year's does to me what last year's did (I actually had low expectations for 30, but came away thinking it was about as good a show as they could've booked and executed.).

The ironic part about this is one of the messages feminist groups these days showcase is "Cosplay doesn't equal consent". Anyways, this isn't about a fan's background, it's about a fun thing in wrestling being taken away. People go to WWE events to have fun. God knows there's less of that in the shows these days; we don't need more of that with their handling of the fanbase. Ottawa seems to get only Smackdown tapings once a year (I say "only" because I'd rather go to a house show personally). The last one I went to in 2013 had three young ladies dress up like The Shield (and doing an awesome job with it). I honestly don't remember anything memorable or fun about that night, aside from a dark match Bryan and Orton had.
