Dave is terrible on Twitter, but... 1. Are you sure he even saw your post? He is pretty boneheaded when it comes to technology. Case-in-point: He doesn't even have the good sense to get the official blue checkmark next to his name. Even the fake Heenan's wife account went for that. 2. Writing has never been his strong suit. That flaw is only going to be amplified on a platform as limited as Twitter. There is a chance he did not. But he seems to respond whenever he can do an easy trollish answer. If he can't, he gets quiet. Does it matter how he acts on Twitter? In a cosmic sense? No not really. But it does hurt his credibility as a news source for me. There was a time I would take his word alone. Now I need a second or third source. Which only matters to me, which is why I care.

Has he ever publicly admitted he was wrong about something? I don't mean in a "they changed plans" deal, just flat out admitting he is wrong. Few months ago on Twitter he was shitting on Lex Luger for some reason. He was using the old trope of Lex was always bad and he was carried in his good matches. Now if you go back and read old Observers he would put over Lex as constantly improving. At one point saying something to the effect of and I'm paraphrasing here "He has been in too many good matches to keep calling them carry jobs." I pointed that out to him and he did not reply. His work on Twitter has drastically changed my opinion of him.

Watching 99 WCW and it seemed the only thing they wanted to do was kill Flair off. Which they could not do, but managed to kill everything else.

Very much so. He stopped using recreational drugs. I heard Honky Tonk Man try to say this is regards to Jake Roberts taking pain killers. But if you need them you need them. Those drugs exist for a reason.

Sid main eventing Wrestlemania was in Sid's contract. It was the only thing Sid really cared about since WCW was paying well and he is going to be pushed anywhere he goes. Though Vince could not have expected to have Flair fall in his lap. I think they always had good matchs but their styles were different enough it put a ceiling on their quality.

I would bet it was Boston if televised. -

Mick Foley said he was set to turn heel and feud with Austin. I think as Cactus Jack. Austin could have been champion, but they seemed really set on Triple H. -
Did Bockwinkel vs Chavo Guerrero ever go up?

As in ring work goes, I think Miz has gotten worse since 2010/2011. Once he lost the WWE title, it looked like he was drowning most of the decade until last year.

I just realized they named Quake after the Lil' Abner character. Heenan explained why Studd and Andre never matched up well. For Andre to truly be a giant, he needed someone who could really bump and sell for him. Studd physically could not do that and I think the 89 matches were the inverse of that. I think they did have a good match at the Spectrum that year and Studd had some very entertaining squashes.

I was commenting elsewhere that Owen absolutely tore the damn house down with his match. He hit every signature Owen spot, a beautiful plancha to the floor, all kinds of flippity flop stuff that was ultra cutting edge in 1988 and basically got a standing ovation from the crowd at the end. Hell of a match. So what happened? Vince waits a few months and puts him under a dumb mask and Warrior gets a mega push. I was a eight, The Blue Blazer was one of my favorite wrestlers. I watched the Demolition/LOD match since it was advertised as Ax and Smash which never happened. But it was Ax and Crush (which is a rare combo) but they were in the mask and only went a few minutes.

The WWF was pushing tag teams in this period. Anytime Barry Windham wins a belt I am happy.

I believe it aired in foreign markets. -
She never got over Johnny Ace calling her fat and ugly at that try out.

Not being a smart aleck, but how do we know this is not an angle? It looked like any other armbar I have ever seen.

And this was a case where Hogan was in the right. Him vs Goldberg is the biggest match WCW could build to at this time. So it made sense for him to be champion. To be fair to him, he had been working hard since July of the previous year. Trying hard to get over anything he was given. He had also lost to Kidman and Mike Awesome before this. So he was being a pretty good sport all things considered.

I think the match they had in January 1999 was much more.

Thought this was an eye opening moment for Jerry Lynn. All these years of being this super nice guy (which he is) technical wrestler. When he had a vicious heel just waiting to be let out all along.

Scott Hall said they used the Wolf Pack name because they knew WCW could not trademark it.

Really enjoy this match, everyone really stepped up. Kash had the potential to reach the RVD level of star. But when ECW died his momentum was gone. I still think he had great potential but his personality got him in trouble. I really think Roadkill was hurt by a sub TL Hopper gimmick. I think he could have been the next Bam Bam Bigelow.

Pritchard said he had a big head because he was given a big spot at the start and thought he was over because of it. Basically he was born on third base and thought he hit a triple. Russo wanted to put him in DX which Pac and Hunter vehemently opposed. Russo said he was better than Kevin Nash in reply, which went over as well as you think. I always liked Test and wondered why his push was so inconsistent. He was big, decent in the ring and had good fire. But I figured he was an asshole or something. -
Maybe a can of worms they don't want to open when the Young Bucks do Too Sweet and Suck It gestures Can you really trademark that?

So back in the year of our lord two thousand and twelve, I had began a podcast on blogtalk radio. I had hoped to use it to increase the visibility of my then active novel blog. I at first did shows on things I enjoyed with my creative partner. But then I rightfully wondered why would anyone give a shit what I think about Ninja Turtles 2, a okay in its own right movie, but not nearly as good as its first. So I decided to try to interview some wrestlers, actors, writers or anyone who would speak to me. With wrestling this was right before wrestlers started hosting shows and it all became over saturated. So I got a pretty good line up of wrestlers to talk to me. By 2014 I had a nervous breakdown and lost all momentum I had on anything. By the time I came back I could not even get a no thank you. I have uploaded different interviews to Youtube and use it for my rare new interviews. I think its okay to share the links here. Interview with Doug Gilbert. I am a big fan of his brother Eddie and I like Doug's work, especially as the Dark Patriot. Initially I had not intended to ask about that Lawler promo. But after awhile Doug had been so open I decided to ask him. He was very friendly and open about it. I contacted Del Wilkes and he again was friendly and welcoming. We talked twice and we had a lot of fun talking about wrestling. He really gives you a look into what it was like to be a gaijin in All Japan. He also goes into details about his personal problems after the WWF without being preachy. I was taking a nap with my baby niece on the couch. Or rather she had fallen asleep and I was now in baby jail. My phone rings and I carefully answer. "Hello?" "Is this Victor?" "Yes sir it is," "This is Ivan Koloff, you emailed me about an interview," I had never heard his real voice so it caught me off guard. I feel like I did a poor job on this show. I should have done more research on his 70s work. But Ivan was great and gave good insights on working with Nikita, Darsow and even Vladimir Koloff. At this point my patience with blogtalk was drained so I prerecorded shows. Jason was a very polite person. But in the interview was more guarded. He seems very bitter at a lot of things with ECW. But I think you get a good insight to parts of ECW and being a preliminary wrestler in the WWF and WCW. I interview Shane Douglas. The first interview had to be rescheduled and he was a little late this time. Of course good old blogtalk cut us off at the end. He was very open about his career. Starting off as a prelim guy in the WWF. Working in the UWF and later WCW and of course ECW. I have more shows but they have not been put on youtube.

I don't even think they'd do that. He'll be "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. He won't encourage the YES! chants. He won't use Ride of the Valkyries. They can't trademark the man's facial hair. The crowds will YES! and chant "DANIEL BRYAN" anyway.........nobody can control that, and WWE can't sue anyone over how a crowd acts. I really don't anticipate this being an issue Also, WWE has never attempted to trademark a wrestler's moveset either. This is a total non-starter, waste of time for them. They know it, and because they're on such good terms with Bryan and his wife and brother/sister in law this would never happen. Ride Of The Valkyries is public domain and chanting Yes seems too generic to trademark. I feel like this would be a case they would lose if Bryan fought it.

Now I could be misremembering the number. But it was something bigger than I expected. I don't think he is going to last long. He is trying to be supportive, but you can tell he thinks it is bad. But he seems to be rationalizing his segments are good and not to worry about anything else.
