It was taped last week I believe. I get that it would have been hard to edit out the match from SD since the allegations just came out today. But then they posted a post match interview on youtube and that's just classic WWE.

Yeah Bayley has gotten way better since Sasha returned. I was down on her heel run before that but her screwing with Cole and the empty arena era has helped a lot. AJ/Bryan was amazing. Just another notch in Bryan's belt as the GOAT. I knew he had it in him but AJ finally showed he's still really great after a few meh years.

Not much of a match. Lots of punching and walking around. Mephisto gets busted open by Dory's punches of all things. Terry tries with the sheik but Sheik is so bad. Sheik finally brings in a weapon and they brawl into the crowd.

Even in 1959, Gagne looks ancient but man can he move. Verne and Bruiser were the highlights. I haven't seen much of younger Bruiser but he was bumping for Wilbur and Verne like he was Bill dundee circa 1983. It was interesting to see the babyfaces work sorta heelish in the first fall. They were choking the heels, doing illegal double teams etc. Verne was flying around like a mad man. Especially when he made the hot tag. The ring falls apart after the second fall and they had to work around the ring crew fixing it up. I have no idea who Kalrsosn is but he was what I thought a stereotypical 50's older wrestler would look like. His bumping was weird as hell. Fun match overall.

Thatcher/riddle ruled. Right up there with the bryan/gulak matches. They might have something with Thatcher. Should probably put bivens with him.

WWE TV 05/11 - 05/17 Becky got an announcement to make!
Tim Evans replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Its going to be interesting when more guys leave and the free agent talent pool becomes bigger. Aew cant sign everyone. And if what i think happens happens and groups like roh, nwa and mlw dont run again till 2021, its going to be dire. Also I doubt travel overseas happens anytime soon. -
Between this and the Mania match. Batista vs taker is an underrated Taker feud. Yes, this had all the tropes of a WWE style Last man standing match. Big shots, lots of plunder and a ridiculous finish that saves either guy from losing. Big Dave was selling the leg somewhat in the match and Taker looked more motivated than usual.

Looks like his contract was and he chose to not resign. Would be a good pick up for aew -
Kelly if You haven't seen them, check out Otto's matches with Terry Funk. I haven't seen the 96 one but I remember liking the 1990 one. Also the Dick Murdoch/Wanz match isn't too bad

HHH announced on tonight's NXT that NXT Takeover In Your House will take place on 6/7. I wonder if that will be the first WWE show with fans? It wouldn't surprise me especially if it happens at Full Sail. Also, RIP the tag team of Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher. Thatcher left Riddle and Imperium won the tag titles. Riddle and Thatcher then had a hell of a match in the main event. -
The highlights of that main event was Carmella hitting Dana with a poster of herself and Vince wearing Jeans. I bet he hasn't worn any since the Piledriver video. Glad Asuka and Otis won. I have a feeling Otis is going to give Mandy his briefcase.

The Lip syncing was pretty cringe but I liked the entrance. Anything is an improvement over Gargano and Ciampa. I hope Kross beats Cole in like 5 minutes to send him to Smackdown. Speaking of Smackdown. Mandy/Sonya was good on this week's episode. Love me some trash talking angry Sonya. Her vs Sasha could be good.

Good show tonight. Best in a while. Cody/Darby and Dustin/Archer delivered. On a show with 2 "hoss" squash matches, I was surprised that Brodie's was the least of the 3. Wardlow is awesome and I can't wait till he turns on MJF eventually. That will be a fun feud. Even a match with 4 guys I can't stand in Havoc/Sabian vs Best Friends was good. They worked to Havoc's advantage where he didn't have to pretend to have a regular wrestling match and it was just a brawl.

Timothy Thatcher did a decent job in his first comedy segment on NXT tonight. Byron Saxton made the whole thing though.

Scotty goldman.

You mean back to the days of the "Junkfood dog" or "Anabolic warrior"? Or the days of Rajah.com? I agree with your main point though. Not enough talk about how bad that Dustin/Sabian match was. I thought it was impossible to have a bad match with Dustin Rhodes in 2020 but Kip did it. He should be like Mike Bennett and just be built around Penelope and they don't even do that right. About Omega, I hope when AEW starts doing shows in front of a crowd in 2021, they turn Omega heel. I think him vs Cody could be very good. I didn't have a problem with his match with Angels. Mostly that was cause I wasn't paying attention cause Tony and Jericho were killing me on commentary.

That final segment on Smackdown was something else. A rare Vince appearance and a Katie Vick mention on broadcast TV.

This is a ladder match for the number 1 contender's shot at the TNA title. With it being a ladder match, you know what to expect. Lots of ladder spots and stupid bumps. Kaz, in particular, takes a brutal bump when he misses a leg drop from the top of the ladder onto another ladder. Christian gets busted open early one above the eye. With this being TNA, of course, there is a TNA moment where the contract hanging above the ring falls off. They have to fight over the clipboard it was attached to. Kaz wins after AJ Styles and Tomko's interference backfires. Good match mostly thanks to Christian.

[2007-02-16-ROH-Fifth Year Festival] Samoa Joe vs Takeshi Morishima
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in February 2007
Interesting match. This was Morshima's first match in ROH and one of Joe's last. They had a confrontation months earlier that I sorta remember. Joe hit Morishima with some really stiff kicks. One to the nose busts Morishima open. I remember liking Morishima back in the day but he didn't do much for me here. Some good moves but he looked bored. I need to go back and watch the Morishima/Danielson matches. Anyways, he kicks out of the muscle buster but Joe wins with a choke. That's surprising given Morishima had a title match the next day. Good stuff.- 2 replies

Another match in the classic series. First two falls is all Averno with mask ripping and outsmarting Mistico. Mistico gets a surprise win in the second fall. Third caida goes almost 20 minutes. Pretty excessive 2 count near falls that wouldn't look out of place in Indie wrestling today. Still the crowd was going nuts for Mistico and Averno is such a great base for him. They go back and forth for what seemed forever till Misitco finally gets the win with the La Mistica. Good match. Other highlights include the ref wearing a camera on his head and a rare CMLL appearance by Arturo Rivera.

The promo was really good. So much so that if it took place in front of fans, she probably would have gotten a babyface cheer. Mandy was pretty wooden but that's to be expected. I wonder if Vince paid the CT government more than his wife paid De Santis. Interested in Blumenthal's response or Chris Murphy. I'm sure Bix will get that.

Looks like double or nothing is happening next month. Probably in Jacksonville. Carnies are going to always carny.
