  1. Good god Shane was unbearable on commentary. "My Dad" "Vinnie Mac". Vince slapping Stone Cold and then running was nice.
  2. OMG managed by Rod Price here. That's a random pairing. This wasn't bad for a 1999 Sabu match. Gang bleed and Sabu hits his moves clean so that's all I ask for.
  3. All that was missing was Dave Brown saying "She likes it" like David Crockett.
  4. Nice to see Power Pro actually having a title instead of a trophy like they gave the Young Guns. Power Pro also seemed to be obsessed with going on location. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it was awkward like here with the Gold thing. Stasiak makes a good heel to face Lawler.
  5. Gotta agree with Tim Cooke here. This had some nice moments but Han looked Fujiwara slow at time. He still had some great submissions and I loved the finish but he wasn't as crisp as he was in 95. Kanehara was fine but kinda bland. Good match.
  6. I'm kinda in the middle between Loss and tim but I"m leaning more to Loss's thinking. It was a decent brawl but just was too much of a mess. Good bladejob by Emilio and his brawling with Wagner who I guess he was feuding with was nice. Not sure how the first fall ended but the finish to the second fall should have been the end of the match. Warrior didn't even get to do his patent bullet tope. I'm gonna give this a second viewing later cause I might like it then.
  7. I really enjoyed this but at the same time it made me angry. Kawada was just destroying Misawa with kicks and you could hear them hit his face. It's crazy that Kawada worked this match with a broken arm. Misawa however made me angry. His no selling of Kawada attacking his leg and the whole ganso bomb thing. How the hell was that not the finish? Why did he kick out of it? I'm guessing it was a mistake that it even happened? With that being said, this was great. It was long but didn't feel long like most of the All Japan 90's matches I've seen on these yearbook.
  8. Great promo. I loved him ripping Hogan and getting subtle digs at WWF while Mean Gene holds the mic. This just proved that Flair still had it even in 99.
  9. Oh the 90's. This is something that would never pass today. However, Mark Henry was good in this. I laughed at his "sweet jesus" delivery. Also his mom spanking him. It's amazing this is the same guy that did the Hall of Pain.
  10. Vince even beats up Dr. Tom. Shane saying "Oh damn he's strong" was great.
  11. Tony was very annoying during this doing buzzing sounds and playing cheerleader. I kinda felt bad for Eric here and I don't think that was the point.
  12. Gene asking if the mask still meant something to him was comical.
  13. Virus or Tommy Rich.
  14. So should they put the women against the top men in the company? Like Charlotte vs Seth Rollins or Dolph Ziggler? That's the only way I see them main eventing a ppv.
  15. I liked how they pretty much blew the finish by showing the curtain before Bam Bam came out. so WCW. Goldberg is just another guy now and it's sad.
  16. Hogan keeps saying this is for Easy E and even blows a kiss to the camera. He was just killing David with those strapshots. Reminds me of numerous Memphis angles.
  17. I'm not sure who was really who but they were both good. Lack of crowd heat hurt it some though.
  18. Sid is pretty much what Ryback is today. This was the best use of him since USWA in 94.
  19. Why are they wearing wrestling gear? I guess they came from the studio? It takes Stasiak a while to get the can on fire. Bill Dundee's run in was great.
  20. Weird seeing a bloodbath in All Japan. Another really good match from Japan that isn't what I expected.Much more slower paced and the blood actually meant something. Best Hayabusa match I've seen.
  21. If Modest had started a few year later, he would have been a main eventer in ROH. Good match but it's really the definition of MOVEZ and they didn't let anything breather just go go go. I liked the atmosphere of the match though.
  22. I've seen Ogawa before but never Kakihara. This is my MOTY so far. I loved how everything they did had a purpose like Kakihara going for his armbar and how that was his ultimate downfall. Great match.
  23. I've never seen Hoshikawa before but I've been really impressed with him on this set. I liked the kick dive he did later in the match. He plays a good ass kicker to Yakushiji who gets beat down and does flying moves. Another good match from January.
  24. I didn't like this as much as the others but it was still a good match. It was like a mix of Battlarts and All Japan with all the head drops and forearm punches.
  25. Man I thought Chyna's pop was huge but then Austin comes out and the crowd just explodes. Vince doing the Hogan pose while Shane is on commentary was awesome. Good segment.
