  1. Shocked Vince hasn't called Kacy Katanzaro up to the main roster to be a real Lily doll yet.
  2. Also I love that the story here seems to be Sarray kicked Mandy Rose in the face so hard she turned into Raven.
  3. All the new faces on NXT look like they have potential (except Duke Hudson, dude just looks like a Generic CAW: UK Edition). Just having new faces in more than squash matches felt like a breath of fresh air.
  4. Just not having the building look like if an angsty teen designed an 80s TV rasslin' stuido made such an improvement, it's crazy. Also it makes me unreasonably giddy that the son/nephew of Rick and Scott Steiner is exactly what you would want him to be. I want NXT 2.0 to be him and the Creed bros just tossing fools around like sacks of potatoes.
  5. I mean, honestly Hunter's turned in to the walking representation of "karma's a bitch" even if NXT was the bees knees for a few years.
  6. I wonder if/when Roderick is going to get cycled out, considering how he kind of stands out in a stable of hosses (and not in a way WWE would like).
  7. OK NXT, you had my curiosity now you have my attention.
  8. Yeah often I think the worst part of WWE's presentation is how nearly every week their TV shows seem to have the conceit that they didn't actually bother to put on a show and if people didn't come out to cut promos nothing would ever happen. And this is by design! They actually seem to want people to think this! (I know they probably don't think that, it's just their lack of planning, but that just adds the extra layer of realism behind the scenes that they actually don't put together a show for real until the last moment)
  9. I think live, and Kevin Dunn is there to oversee the production so get your nausea medication ready.
  10. I mean, the nostalgia wells they've been drilling are pretty close to drying up, so one way or another they are going to have to come up with something one way or another.
  11. Also it sucks that WWE gave us a great feelgood moment but all I could think of was Kofi and Bianca and how their moments ended up.
  12. One thing about Big E is how he can believably switch from the funny pancake guy talking about BIG MEATY MEN to a scary mofo who looks like he's about to tear someone apart. It's actually the perfect trait for a WWE main eventer since he can pull off the dumb comedy they make people do and also be a serious mean guy if the storyline calls for it.
  13. Not to mention ROH is apparently still going to be doing no-crowd TV tapings and PCO's gimmick doesn't really work with no fans.
  14. I think it shows the difference between WWE and AEW audiences. If AEW hypes something on social media it seems to create a buzz that makes a notable difference, but when WWE tries it it doesn't seem to have the same effect.
  15. The decision to do it this week was only made on Friday, the day after the ratings came out. It's clear that they saw AEW beating Raw in the demo the week before football comes back to eat 20% of their lunch and went balls out to pop a rating this week to prevent getting beat by a larger margin this week. Which is fine. It's just historically there's not a lot of evidence that WWE can/will follow up correctly on something they did as a hotshot move. I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
  16. Where else can PCO go I wonder? I suppose maybe Impact would be the best place since they have a lighter schedule and would be more open to do the type of matches that are suited to him.
  17. I mean, Tony *was* bad at the end of WCW, it would have been impossible not to be with the crap he had to call and half the time Bobby was completely shitfaced next to him. He had the enjoyment of what he did beaten out of him and was just mailing it in. I still think it's the best anyone could have done in the spot he was in though. Happy Tony is my #1 favorite thing about 2021 wrestling, the sheer joy in his voice calling matches is infectious. He's perfect because old heads like us remember the JCP days with him, and to the young fans he's the excited dad who's not entirely sure what's going on but he's having the time of his life watching it.
  18. Ali just tweeted "Brodie would be so happy" and the room just got a lot more dusty for some reason.
  19. At any rate I love that a guy like E who seems to be solidly in the Bobby Eaton-Ricky Steamboat "dudes everyone loves and no one has a bad thing to say about them" category gets his due. The love coming from everyone on Twitter from all across wrestling is legit heartwarming to see.
  20. As cool as it is seeing someone like E finally win the big one, doing it this way just made it feel like the forced panic based idea it was. They were doing a great slow burn on SD with him taunting Heyman with the briefcase, and this just seemed so shoehorned in to the stories being built on Raw with Lashley.
  21. That was great, but WWE has trained me to expect E to be beaten in 30 seconds by a returning legend. I suppose I could just be a cynical hater tho.
  22. Time to see if WWE can follow through on something they hyped the hell out of, even if it was a panic move.
  23. Anyone else notice WWE seems to be trying to turn Kross into Alastair Black? Those promos he's been doing remind me of those "knock on my door" promos Black used to do.
  24. I still say Eva Marie peaked as a character in NXT where she could be the avatar for the DIvas Era to the fans pushing for women's wrestling to be taken seriously.
