  1. Seems like the latest word is Bryan debuts on this show. When Tony was on with Dave, he mentioned that he had a pretty solid idea of which match would go on last (Dave asked with all the potential main events on this show if he knew which one he was going with) in a Cheshire cat way that came off as a non-confirmation confirmation of the Bryan rumors.
  2. Ironically with all the Aus/NZ talent NXT has signed you'd think it would have occurred to Hunter that it might make a good base of operations. Maybe he has a deep seated kangaroo phobia.
  3. I know she had mental health issues, but I'm surprised to hear about the CTE stuff. I didn't think she had any other history of concussion related issues other than that one really bad incident in TNA.
  4. I'd guess toxic macho "admitting defeat is weakness" bullshit probably. Somewhere Shane is sending him the George Clooney in a noose "first time?" meme.
  5. It probably would be, but Hunter seems the type to not just sit back and let himself get put in an office in the basement like Milton from Office Space. While the smart move would be for him to just shut up and take it while continuing to cash those WWE checks, I could see his ego not letting him. Also kudos to Bruce for parlaying a podcast gig with Conrad where he just said a lot of bullshit and got mad about the sheets into getting back into WWE and having a hand running all three brands. He out Game-ed The Game completely.
  6. I caught part of the video and it was brutal, seeing a slow motion train crash unfold and hoping someone would reach her in time while the people watching were pleading with her. The worst part is she moved like a week or so ago and had people been able to pin down her new address sooner things may have turned out different. Not that it's anyone's fault, just one of those what if things that could have changed the outcome. Depression is a real motherfucker, I know from first hand experience, and sometimes it seems you just don't have the energy to keep climbing out of the hole.
  7. Dude grew up the son of a TV star, gonna go out on a limb and assume he wasn't on DVDVR or watching 90s puro tapes.
  8. I loved it and what it was building to, but I also immediately thought it would sour the mouths of fans who largely bond over hating WWE shit. You absolutely have to do a heat segment once in a while to really jolt a program, but since WWE does it nearly all the time it poisons the well for anyone else.
  9. Andrade/PAC being off the PPV is a bummer, but bumping the women's battle royal to the main show might mean we get someone like Ruby showing up.
  10. I thought they were fine as background fodder in the Bullet Club, but then I wasn't watching NJPW on TV every week to burn me out on them.
  11. In rare case of social media being good, Daffney was live on Instagram looking in bad shape and talking about suicide and Wrestling Twitter mobilized to alert the local PD. She apparently moved recently so no one seems to know her exact location but seeing everyone working together to try to get her help was a great thing to see. Hopefully it has a positive ending.
  12. I love how they built up how effective the cage is, so you know the Bucks are effed at the PPV.
  13. A lot of guys either being cut or leaving because they no longer fit the mold of the Vinceavision version of NXT are gonna end up being another reason AEW is going to have the "cool place to be" vibe.
  14. He wasn't good at them from the start like he was with pretty much everything else, and quickly got the idea it doesn't matter since he was getting over anyway.
  15. I dunno, he sure won't go to AEW but I wonder how much more he can take and just pulls a Shane and goes off to wander in the woods or something. The one thing that has remained consistent with Hunter are the stories of his ego and his crazy level of insecurity. I don't know how he puts up with his current gig which seems to not amount to more than being a punchline.
  16. Saying Hunter wouldn't be bigger than CM Punk is some real in-the-bubble thinking, IMO. Again, not saying I want it to happen but getting the guy who was running your opposition to join the team would be the biggest FU they could give WWE. Come to think of it, I do kind of wish for it to happen just to see everyone's head explode, and trust and believe if that did happen *everyone's* head would explode on all sides of the argument. Hell at this point, it might be the preferred move for him instead of just sitting there getting cucked as Vince moves in and starts running his baby.
  17. Honestly, him to AEW could be this generation's version of Hulkster jumping ship. Not saying I particularly *want* that to happen, mind you. I can just picture him doing a promo on Dynamite like "no one knows about that organization up north more than me, BROTHER".
  18. After reading about Broski on his podcast talking about Hunter making fun of him and saying creating the Internet title was something that would get him beat up by the boys 10 years ago, this news is all the more delicious. Dude's getting it hard from karma right about now.
  19. Vince's first creative idea for new NXT will be to have Hunter in a clown gimmick as Clyde McTinyPenis.
  20. I'm guessing FCW NXT, which actually wasn't all that bad.
  21. Also this has to be the most spectacular flameout we've seen in a long time. Uncle Paul getting so publicly pantsed by both the competition and his own company has been amazing to see.
  22. LOLHUNTER aside, how the fuck is Vince going to have the time to produce yet another show? I know NXT is taped (for now, USA is pissed about that), but adding another show on a 70 something year old who's notorious for overwork doesn't sound like a solid plan.
  23. That injury was gnarly, but I get the impression they're just working.
  24. Considering she got herself in a position where Nia could have pulled her shoulder apart like a chicken wing had she chosen to (and Jimmy Smith even pointed it out on commentary which I'm sure got him an earful), I'm guessing no.
  25. Could you imagine Park/Mox? Or Park/Eddie? Or Park/Mox/Eddie trio?
