Apparently Jericho was trending on Twitter due to NBA fans who stuck around to watch AEW dunking on him for being chubby.

Dave was in fact back on Wednesday as it turned out. Bryan made a joke that he half expected Dave to do the Monday show, to which Dave said he probably would have but he passed out after having to deal with hi son having to go to the hospital for an intestinal blockage and that his son's girlfriend was diagnosed with COVID. 2020 is apparently spending its last week beating the shit out of poor Dave.

Yeah but this is the episode after the Lowest Rating of All Time that was so upsetting to people in the company they promptly went out there and put on the most boring, ineffectual show possible. Despite all the newz sites saying WWE "clearly got the message". For it to be such a blasé show in that context is kind of alarming.

He said the hardest part was seeing his mom having to stay in one place when his parents traveled the world well into their 80s. He also talked abouit her recovering from knee and hip replacements faster than doctors expected so she could get back to what she wanted to do, so clearly he inherited his crazy legendary work ethic from her.

To be fair, he takes extended breaks from social media so it's possible he might not be aware of all the hijinks that ensued surrounding him.

Just like that the Steelers come out for the second half looking like the 11-0 team again. Solid booking, gotta get heat the first half to set up the babyface comeback.

Dave's mom passed away today at age 91. He has mentioned before how tough it's been since she was living in a nursing facility since before COVID and because of that he didn't get to see much of her in what turned out to be her last year. The brief bio he wrote details a mother who supported him wholeheartedly even if him starting a pro wrestling newsletter wasn't the career she envisioned for him.

Local news here reporting former Steelers linebacker Kevin Greene passed away today at the age of 58. Most people here of course would know him from his time in WCW where he was really good for someone with no experience in the few appearances he made.

The women's tag match was pretty good, but it's telling that they are again doing a deal where a singles champ is also a tag champ.

Not wanting to put someone over is one thing, Brody just stopped selling and cooperating mid match is some real unprofessional bullshit from a guy who honestly did this kind of thing a lot but it's not considered polite to mention that.

He's shooting in the sense where he stopped selling for him, which was making Luger look like shit when he was being positioned as the next big superstar in the territory. Brody was big timing him here basically trying to goad Luger into a real fight knowing Lex would get all the heat for it since he was the rookie. You can see where even the ref is looking at Brody like "fucking really, Frank?" while he just stands there like a statue while Lex throws punches. By the end he's totally sandbagging him and I actually give Lex props for not only not taking the bait, but also for being able to come up with a way to end the match while still keeping kayfabe. It's really an amazing example of how much old timey wrestlers bullshit, when the story was always told to make it sound like Lex ran in terror from the fearsome Brody when the footage showed he was just said fuck it and left because Bruiser was being an uncooperative shithead.

So it looks like the Rush family all re-signed for at least another year, which is great news since the Mexico City area went back to red status recently. Lucha groups of any significance will be on ice for the time being so it will be nice having Rush and Dragon Lee somewhere they can work regularly in a safe-as-possible environment since ROH does the bubble deal before tapings.
