The Miz having a mystery opponent at Mania, it being Daniel Bryan who wins in 15 seconds, and then challenging the winner of AJ/Nakamura was a big missed opportunity.

Hoping that will be the main event in Long Beach, but probably is semi-main at Genesis.

That's awesome, what are questions like?

So this booklet made by a guy who watched every WON match of the year that was mentioned on today's WOR, anyone know what/where that is?

Big Show looks ridiculous with that shirt, but awesome when bumping around, which makes the match anything worth watching. Crowd heat was bad considering it was a world title switch. HHH was fine, and his 2000 is noteworthy, but this was whatever. *1/2

[2000-01-03-AJW] Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda vs Kayo Noumi & Miyuki Fujii
benj replied to soup23's topic in January 2000
One of my favorite beatdowns ever was Danielson/Strong vs Bucks PWG/DDT 2009. This was similar; just as much a brutal beating that the Bucks took, but with a better story and finish. -
It's weird, the previous six man was better, but I was more into this match. Maybe it was the dynamics of the teams, or Kikuchi not giving two fucks, but this felt like an easier watch. The frog splash did not look fun for Misawa landing on Kikuchi's shoulder. Like Loss said, interesting guys, but kind of bland.

I thought his was fine, maybe a little long, but action was good enough to keep me engaged. To me this was all about Takayama. His exchanges with Kobashi were great, and him randomly punching or kicking Kanemura were my favorite parts of the match. Kind of made me want to see a Kobashi-Akiyama-Takayama three way dance; is that a possible game mode in Giant Gram 2000?

So this was pretty great. I was completely engaged during the match and makes me want to go on a CMLL 2000 binge. Rey Buccanero matches were always ones I looked out for when I first starting watching late-night CMLL. Would have no problem anyone giving this 4 stars or above.

Like Grimmas, my first real dive into Lucha was early 2000's, Atlantis-Villano III, and CMLL finally being on at 12:30am in my area. I remember trying to tape it every week, and waking up never knowing if it was going to be a soccer match, random soap opera, or the same episode of CMLL from the previous week that had been taped. This match had good action, and kind of got out of control late with that wild Mr. Mexico bump/botched dive through the ropes. Zumbido was a stand out here, CMLL 2000 should be fun on re-watch.

[2000-01-01-TWA-Total Impact TV] American Dragon vs Spanky
benj replied to Loss's topic in January 2000
Impressive match considering their experience level. Some one send Nakamura Spanky 2000 tapes, or Spanky 2017 gifs to learn the art of wrestling charisma. A couple botched moves, but the strikes/dives looked good, which led to a fun match, Thumbs up. -
