  8. It may drop before the clock strikes midnight (Pacific time anyway). Also, awesome pic of the Baron!
  9. There is a 11/14/81 Stretcher match from Philly between Andre and Khan that I haven't watched yet.

  11. I would suggest keep going goc, based on what I have seen coming up with the Stubbs face turn into Mr. Olympia and his feud with DWB. Or at least watch the footage from the Titans playlist. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV6RCTo_Cd0AwTyy2Cjfjxb6rcCeJ7Zlg&feature=mh_lolz Yet another blatant shill.
  12. Great reviews in this thread, goc. Hope you don't mind a blatant shill.
  13. Yeah, it was Dick Kroll. Love that clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=riZab8Z8E_M#t=105
  14. Pete, I hate to break it to you, but if you've seen 46 discs worth of Continental, you've see a ton of Continental. Really jazzed to watch this footage and do the pod because this is almost completely unexplored territory for me and it sounds like a lot of fun.

    Now Mania is interesting.
  16. For accuracy, it's a WWF match (they dropped the "Wide" around March 79). Terrible? Well, if you look at it as a match between two once proud performers who have been wrestling each other for 20 years and are now reduced to curtain jerking and jobbing every night, you'll find some beauty in it. Otherwise, yeah, it's crap.
  17. The new and improved Titans hype video...now 33.3% less copyright infringey! Also, check out the playlist (put together by Pete) for the upcoming Titans #23--a special episode on Continental Wrestling from the 80s! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV6RCTo_Cd0AwTyy2Cjfjxb6rcCeJ7Zlg&feature=mh_lolz
  18. I'm holding you to your pledge to eventually review DeNucci vs the Baron from 10/11/80 Spectrum, Matt.
  19. Watching a ton of 79-80 WWF for Titans, and I'm only slightly exaggerating (or maybe not) when I say that I can count the number of conclusive finishes on one hand, not counting TV squashes of course. Most of the matches are at MSG and the Spectrum. And it doesn't really bother me. Clean finishes are overrated.
  20. That is a good way of putting it. There were movez in the match, but not to the point where I felt there were too many movez. They were spaced out well, similar to the Shield vs Wyatts match IMO.

I really think Bryan is at a point where he can't become "just another face on the roster", unless they were to job him out to everybody, have him wrestle in the curtain jerker for every PPV and give him no angles month after month. I agree him winning the title would be a great way to end Mania, but I don't think it would be the end of the world if he doesn't.

Just watched Shield vs Wyatts and Zayn vs Cesaro last night and both were fantastic. Shield vs Wyatts in particular is bordering on all-time great IMO. And what a hot crowd for that one! Just a freakin awesome match. Things are very interesting right now. Fresh talent, tons of good and great matches, the whole crowd rebellion and Bryan thing going on, etc. I thought the last Raw was dull, but overall the positives far outweigh the negatives right now. And they haven't "screwed up" Bryan's push. Bryan is as over as anyone in the last decade. It really doesn't matter if he has the title. In fact, I think the best thing for him is the role of guy who keeps getting screwed over, because each injustice makes him more popular. He's actually better off without the title.
  23. Thank you, Brad. I'm glad someone remembers my Kamata bio WHERE I MENTIONED HIM BEATING BABA FOR THE PWF TITLE. I remember Parv even remarking, "really, he beat Baba?" or something like that.
