Episode #16 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-16 June 5, 1982 (WCCW 24) HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT EPISODE ALERT!!! Chunger cuts a promo! Kevin gives up boots! Tom Shaft officially clinches Worst Wrestler Ever! A world without World Cast is a world without awesome! -
Not much love for many of the PWO favorites. "Added to the ballot next year: Kenny Omega" Uh oh

In the right city at the right time of year with enough hype I think 10k is totally attainable for a Bullet Club supershow. Like has been said, it will be more of a hardcore fan gathering and won't need a major name like Punk or Bryan. There will be enough fans out there wanting to be part of something cool and anti-WWE to hit the mark

Episode #15 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-15/s-HePoI May 29, 1982 (WCCW 23) World Class team batting averages! Good Ol' Al in a Taped Fist match with Great Kabuki! (but nobody told Kabuki) THE CANDYMAN! Kerry vs Bundy in the main event! And most important of all, mother f'n CHUNGERMANIA running wild!!!! Pete, Kelly and Johnny are here to break it all down. If you listen to only one WCCW 1982 retrospective podcast this week make it World Cast! -
Vancouver is probably the most unknown of the old territories. By the time footage becomes available in the 80s, they had severed ties with Owen and Portland and limped through the decade with minimal talent and little in the way of memorable matches or feuds that I'm aware of. They were upstaged in their own city by Stampede, who ran several big shows in 83 and 84. Dead territory by 89. By all accounts Vancouver was a hotbed for wrestling in the 60s and 70s and at times was as hot as any city in North America, which makes the sad years under Tomko even harder to take

Yeah poor Bret getting "stuck" in that iconic match a lot of people consider the greatest ever

Episode #14 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-14 May 22, 1982 (WCCW 22) On the latest thrilling episode of World Cast the boys continue to gain more and more confidence in the ball team/promotion. Kevin Von Erich and The Great Kabuki go to war once again, this time in a Lumberjack match, King Kong Bundy gets more and more greedy, the hype for the big Texas Stadium show begins, and the CANDYMAN is in the house! Who is that? You have to tune in to find out folks! -
Great match. I'm done folks

Would you prefer for them to have jobbed Asuka? Sometimes the right thing and the obvious thing are the same. I would have preferred a final that wasn't Asuka vs. Tamina, who has never been a credible threat. I also would've preferred Asuka getting attacked and taken out before the match, to make this less predictable and more interesting. But yes, Asuka winning is obviously the right finish if they had to keep her boring ass in the match. They're dedicated to this failed Asuka experiment and will continue shoving her down our throats. Asuka boring and a failed experiment? And using the beyond tired "shoved down our throats". Come on man, being snarky is what's boring

McIntyre vs Almas was awesome. ****1/2 and one of my fave matches of the year easy. Undercard was really good. WarGames was very good but it felt a little bloated and I lost interest by the finish
-
Just checked in. Not sure how closely I'll be watching in an hour when my beloved Eagles play the Cowboys. Really want to see Brock vs AJ though
-
Was WarGames always spelled awkwardly as one word like this? Is it supposed to symbolize two rings side by side? Just some weird WCW thing like two r's in Starrcade? Anyway...WarGames is back! Well, mostly in name only but whatever. Should be a fun show as always with a hot crowd and some potentially great matches. Who should win the women's match? Personally I think Sane should be chasing, Cross doesn't need it, putting it on a heel like Peyton could be a good idea, but Moon may need to win finally after all these months challenging and coming up short. Though I'm still not a huge fan of her and have found it hard to get behind her as a babyface

This is coming from someone who doesn't watch a single second of Smackdown, but who is a huge Bryan fan. For me, I think a Bryan heel run with Owens and Zayn sounds fun on paper. I'm sure he would commit 100% and bring plenty of comedy to it, basically like a Jericho/Owens pairing that gets crazy over. It's not like there are any real heels anymore anyway, and there is no way it hurts his "drawing power". If anything it will give him something interesting to do and make him more relevant than he is as second banana to Shane. Granted he won't be wrestling, but the promos alone should be gold.

Episode #13 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-13 May 15, 1982 (WCCW 21) Join Pete, Kelly and Johnny for a huge historical moment as they review FRITZ VON ERICH'S FIRST MATCH!!! (not really the first, but maybe the first on tape). A bunch of other stuff happens, like a match with "one of the greatest criminal minds in the world today", Capt. Frank Dusek, the debut of the man from MA-COW, Magic Dragon, an action packed 43 seconds between Bill Irwin and Rick Harris, and Bundy and Bugsy continue their rampage. World Cast: the sexiest podcast of 2017! -
https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/mount-olympus-fall-2017-wwe-unreleased-part-2 After a bit of a delay, Kelly and the legendary Richard Land are back to finish their exploration of the WWE Unreleased DVD. They are looking at matches from the New Generation era, or what some consider the Dark Ages of wrestling. As they review the footage, Kelly and Landy simultaneously chart the slow, steady decline of the WWF during this period. Both have strong emotional ties to the time, so this discussion goes deeper than just reviewing matches. Along the way marvel at the aborted revival of Piper's Pit, strange tag team combinations, the lame end of Hulkamania, former partners going to war, and the one and only TOXIC TURTLES!!! Mount Olympus: Shamelessly jumping on the 90's nostalgia craze!

No, the point is the quality of pro wrestling journalism isn't exactly that high
