I wish Edge got the role of the Joker in the Dark Knight. I imagine it'd be the most unintentionally funny character in any movie ever. Or the role of Shaggy in Scooby-Doo. Just because he looks like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo.

Yeah, I'll get this before '94. '94 has more Mascarita Sagrada, but no Cowabunga. Should place an order before December.

This is the first yearbook that's come out where I actually sat and looked at the listing semi-properly Jerry Lawler vs. Bill Dundee (JIP) (USWA TX 2/23/90) Jerry Lawler vs. The Destroyer (USWA 2/24/90) Atlantis, Villano III & El Satanico vs. Pirata Morgan, Jerry Estrada & Emilio Charles Jr (EMLL 3/16/90) Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich (Tri-State 3/31/90) Jerry Lawler vs. Bill Dundee (USWA TX 6/1/90) Kerry Von Erich vs. Matt Borne (Cage Match) (USWA TX 6/1/90) Perro Aguayo, Ringo Mendoza & Lizmark vs. El Satanico, Sangre Chicana & Ken Timbs (EMLL 6/8/90) Espectrito & Piratita Morgan vs. Mascarita Sagrada & Aguilita Solitaria (EMLL 6/22/90) Zeus vs. Abdullah the Butcher (WWC 7/7/90) Cowabunga vignette (USWA 7/21/90) Cowabunga Interview (USWA 8/11/90) Eddie Gilbert vs. Cowabunga (USWA 8/25/90) Cowabunga Interview (USWA 9/1/90) Rayo de Jalisco vs. Cien Caras (Mask vs. Mask) (EMLL 9/21/90) Steve Williams vs. Davey Meltzer (Abrams UWF TV 10/8/90) The Rockers playing video games (Superstars 12/22/90) Nick Bockwinkel vs. Masa Saito (NJPW 12/26/90) and holy fuckballs @ these. I'm still juggling whether to get this or '94 first. Any idea which one you guys got planned next? And congrats to Will and wife for the new little helmet.

Second guy ("High Voltage") was Matt Hardy. He tells on some DVD (IDR which) how he sent that in and then WCW nabbed the "High Voltage" name and used it for the Rage/Kaos tag team three years later.

[1993-09-25-WWF-Superstars] Jim Cornette, Yokozuna and The Undertaker

Has anyone noticed Yokozuna NEVER blinks? -
[1993-08-19-SMW-Morgantown, WV] Jim Cornette vs Cowabunga
Garbage replied to Loss's topic in August 1993
My favourite thing to ever exist. This is one of the absolute best examples I can think of to show that wrestling isn't ALL about being athletic and needing a bunch of moves. But shit, who ever knew Jim Cornette could actually WORK some regular wrestling holds? They do a standard babyface repeated headlock period, and pull it off really well - with Cornette going to the trunks for pinfalls and all. Cornette is really fucking good working the everything; when he goes for a hip toss he yells like it a total struggle, because despite how he poses his muscles before the match, he's weak as shit and knows it. Also yells when getting his moves reversed, and Cowabunga shows him up on everything. That is until Cowabunga takes this totally loony Psicosis bump off of the ropes and nearly mangles his neck. The best thing Cowabunga did, however, was when he was slammed on his back and sells as if he's a REAL FUCKING TURTLE WHO CAN'T GET UP BECAUSE OF HIS SHELL. His shell is actually a soft, flat outfit, but he squirms on his back like a beetle turned upside-down. Corny's great laughing and pointing, just the Earth's greatest weak-ass momma's boy. This whole match was around 17 minutes and was built so, so, so well. Jim Cornette's probably a better worker than Edge. But in seriousness; I swear if he was actually an athlete to a reasonable degree - he probably would have been a great wrestler.****99/100 -
You should add the 3/1 Tamura/Sakuraba. It's their first of three matches (5/27 being third, their second is only four minutes long) and seeing them do the fast grappling stuff pretty much blows everyone's mind. A good first impression to their final match and on its own it's at least as good as some of the stuff you have listed in blue already. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-dJngBfpEY

I liked when JBL said Sin Cara had been with AAA. Kind of chuckled in a snickering nerd way.

I don't have an account there, but it's good news for me because I've missed Dean's MOTYC thread the past few days. It's not as dorky as it sounds.

I won't get Raw until another 27 hours; I just keep refreshing wwe.com to hopefully get updates on what's going on. It's scary.

Here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQqKYIXkgLk&feature=plcp Hell yeah. Thanks a bunch.

More BattlARTS Ishikawa v Otuska 1/20- It's THESE two. Probably the best match between them, but it's been a while since I saw their all time great ten minute match from 2/97. Ishikawa/Otuska v Ikeda/Greco 4/19- Greco and Ish shake hands after the match and Ikeda just pummels Ish. IDK the full story but things started to seems to get ridiculously heated. The match is really great as well so it's not a purely story-driven recommendation. Ishikawa v Greco 4/24- after it's over Ikeda comes to wipe out Yuki again. I wish I had actually watched this before the 5/27 Ish/Ikeda because I can only imagine all of it making it better. Also, shockingly, a great match. There's other BatBat that's really good, but I think this is the stuff to REALLY put on there (plus what's been mentioned by FLIK and Ditch obv). Thought I'm probably missing a bunch. Fuck me, Ishikawa might have been the best wrestler in the world in 1998. And again in 1999.

Would John Cena make your personal top 100?
Garbage replied to NintendoLogic's topic in The Microscope
I can't bring myself to rank him above Taker, but Taker's worst is so bad I don't think I'll have that opinion forever. Plus Cena's having more and more good matches as the years go by. Sting.....this comparison was brought up with me an a few other guys sometime in 2010 or 2011, and I seemed to be the only one who thought Sting might be better or even comparable, but at this point I'd probably give it to Cena. *Pretty* confident I'd have him above Jericho and Luger. Though I'll say if I had a choice b/w a random match from any guy there, Cena would be the last guy I'd choose. I'll probably actually come up with 100 guys and gals (not that many gals since my joshi viewings are limited) who I'd put above him later tonight for the fun of it. -
Would John Cena make your personal top 100?
Garbage replied to NintendoLogic's topic in The Microscope
I made a "Rank Em" thread asking where people would rank Ricky Morton as an all timer and someone did one for Cena. It's worked similar to a DVDVR purotopia great appreciation debate where there's poll options of "top this-and-that". -
Would John Cena make your personal top 100?
Garbage replied to NintendoLogic's topic in The Microscope
I'm Blackheart over there, and already said no. I can't say what it is, but I get the feeling the big Cena fans are seeing something in his matches I don't. Like when I watch Monsta Mack bend a ladder in half by merely trying to jump off of it and I wonder why it isn't recognised as the greatest moment in ROH history. I'll cop to admitting there's a little visceral apathy to Cena, but I don't see a top 100 wrestler in him. -
Would Shawn Michaels Make Your Personal Top 100?
Garbage replied to Dylan Waco's topic in The Microscope
Looks like I'm a bigger Michaels fan than most here and will say if I made a top 100 matches of all time I'd probably only consider Mind Games as an inclusion. I'd have to watch the best Rockers stuff again, but there's way too much good wrestling for him to be in a personal list of top 100 matches more than twice. -
Just watched Ishikawa v Ikeda 5/27 and thought it might be MOTYC. Loved it. Noticed on Loss' lucha list there's no Santo v Felino 10/18. That's probably the 98 MOTY and should in no possible way in hell be left off of the set.

Watching random WCW b-shows. I don't have an EricR-esque love for them, but the more I see, the more I like the idea of wrestling shows going forty minutes w/out commercials. I probably liked the seven minute Dean Malenko v Norman Smiley that just finished more than all but five WWE matches I've seen this year. Three hour Raws. Get the fuck outta here.

are these supplement sets all going to be the same size? As in, X discs for 96, 93, 92 or X discs for 96 and Y discs for 93 depending on how much you think was missed?

We Actually Make Dancing Look Cool- La Parka, Too Cold Scorpio, Grandmaster Sexay The Smash Mouths- Fit Finlay, William Regal, Greg Valentine The Smashed Mouths- Mick Foley, Toshiaki Kawada, Chris Benoit It doesn't matter what their team name is they probably aren't showing up anyway- Scott Hall, Davey Richards, Sean Waltman. Shooting Star Press- Brock Lesnar, Marek Brave, Billy Kidman Two and a Half Men- Any two male wrestlers + Chyna. I've always wondered how great it'd be to see Hashimoto and Tenryu in the same setting as the All Japan 90s guys. Misawa/Kobashi/Hashimoto v Kawada/Taue/Tenryu sounds like it just *may* hit three stars or so.

I'd have Jake far, far ahead of Angle. Jake doesn't really 'bump', but I think he knows how to make his opponent look good while selling their move(s). On offense there's just no comparison; watch Jake work the arm of Ricky Steamboat. Hell, watch him work the eye of the Dirty White Boy. He looked drugged out of his fucking mind and had a better control (insert something other than segment*) than I've probably ever seen from Angle. *

Psicosis looks like the total biggest scumbag I can find. I first noticed it when watching his unmasked stuff in 2001; I mean you look at someone like Juvi, and he kind of just looks like this charming Mexican kid. Psic looks like a complete wankbag, and when looking at him I lose all surprise I had that he stole a car with a water pistol.

The big Flair v Kerry in 85 was on a Maivia program wasn't it?
