  1. Yeah, car crash match. You want to look away at certain points, but are strangely compelled to watch.
  2. Ah, must be another case of multiple commentaries existing for one match. This is the version I've seen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g3sJeyjmT8
  3. I liked it too after seeing it for the first time yesterday. But I will say, if you're not a fan of the Gorilla/Polo commentary team, it's in full force during this match.
  4. Funny, because I can remember Mick not saying some bad things about Gene in is his second book.
  5. One of them was Jeff Farmer (unfortunately not 'Jumpin' Jeff Farmer) aka nwo Sting/Cobra.
  6. If Starrcade 93 is such a big deal how come it's not in Des Moines?
  7. Love the buildup for this match, it's so heated so quickly.
  8. "Hey, let's make another one of those hype videos except let's put SCHIAVONE in it!"
  9. Haha, yeah. I woulda liked to have been there when someone corrected him.
  10. The fan reaction to a suplex about halfway in is my favourite fan reaction to anything ever. Really, the crowds at these SN tapings were always very good. It seemed like they had youth groups in there a lot because you'd see packs of kids with no adults around and they were just going wild throughout.
  11. I'm a woman and I know guys that smoke and I have some cousins that chew. They're both gross. But I'm sure there are women that don't care as well as some that would call one way worse. Just depends, I suppose. Anyways, it didn't bother me too much but it was surprising from Flair. I remember Dustin Rhodes chewing in his Highspots shoot too and it did seem a lot more natural to see him doing it for some reason.
  12. If they could have gotten Charlie Sheen about this time last year, that would've been license to print money. Now, I think people are bored of him so it wouldn't work the same way. But he was ostensibly jobless at the time, so he could have put time into it, and most big entertainment companies wouldn't touch him for reasons that WWE wouldn't give two fucks about.
  13. I'm like the biggest Hayes mark that has ever lived so I never miss these. His Iron Sheik story makes me wish we coulda got a good Hayes shoot, but for him to still be employed after everything he's done, I've pretty much given up on that. The Lauper stuff was kind of hard to watch. I mean, she was probably one of the top 5 biggest names in music at the time she was doing all that. Could you imagine, I don't know...Kelly Clarkson stopping her career to manage Kelly Kelly (the Kelly connection!) or something? No chance. And Lauper did it before wrestling was hot so it's not like she was bandwagon-ing. And the story I always heard was that her boyfriend/fiancee at the time was a huge mark, which is why he was always ringside with her so she at least had a passing interest. JR's bashing of her cheapened much of his argument, IMO.
  14. Jamie Dundee is my wrestling guilty pleasure. Hilarious.
  15. This was such a good, short match. I do agree that it was best to keep Liger away from the big guys most of the time, but it did produce some cool moments like the Fujinami-assisted powerbomb on Tenryu.
  16. That southern accent was just awesome.
  17. I love the storytelling here. The crowd was completely behind the turn(s).
  18. Too bad Kevin Christian couldn't be the ref in this angle but I guess he was still upset after being fired by Tod Gordon.
  19. I like the Charlotte Hornets guy that just gets in the ring and, immediately thinking better of it, just left. I remember watching this at the time, which was rare because I had quit watching a few months before. The whole time I was like "Hulk Hogan will do it", not really knowing he had left. I wonder how many Hogan chants there were that day. Probably best it wasn't live in that regards.
  20. Yeah this has to be the best one by miles. It's the only one that actually made me laugh...and it did twice! First, the aforementioned Jack:"Aren't you a singer? Sing us a song" Dustin: "well I don't have a band but...." and then at the end after the big tussle, where Jack escapes again all Dustin says is "I lost my hat!"
  21. Pretty crazy visuals between Flair in a t-shirt and jeans and Double A dancing at the end.
  22. That's the one I was talking about. If that happened nowadays? Forget it...that fan is getting his own WWE youtube show, t-shirt, Slammy award....the sky's the limit.
  23. Hey, he would "love...I mean LOVE" to see 77 year old Lou Thesz climb into the ring!
