  1. I've seen very little of both guys and also the last few years of NJPW so I'm missing stuff like back story but had to check out main event when I heard about Meltzer's thoughts about it. I'm sure hearing about the praise going in effected my viewing as I sat there just waiting through the first 20 minutes or so to be wowed. Kenny at least was trying to work the back but Okada just seemed to not bring a hole lot early on. He did take some really nasty bumps though. I hope that top rope Dragon Suplex doesn't start popping up all over the place. That was nasty. Worse on replay. Corino's remark about future neck surgery really hit the mark for me. As was thinking the same damn thing. How he was really taking a risk to his long term health. It is a spot I just don't want to see and took me briefly away from trying to enjoy a match to where I'm thinking seriously about a guy's well being. Admit I did get back into for the finishing stretch and found myself rooting for Omega to win. Just wish they did more early on and added a few breathers in towards the end.
  2. Back from attending show live. Three HIAC matches was overkill. All the props to Sasha/Charlotte for main eventing the show and easily having the match that had the most personal involvement. Folks in attendance were standing for most of the earlier part of bout. Got to say even though it was obvious coming when Sasha got off the stretcher to continue match I felt quite emotional. I loved that. Finished just didn’t come off live though. Still this was the most deserving to be main event. Rest of show? I absolutely fucking hated it. Fuck those fans in attendance. Really horrible and shameful to be apart of that experience. Shitbags who think they are the reason people tune in. Who sat there like a pile of shit during most of the show but immediately decided to chant boring 15 seconds into the Cruiserweight title match. That really burned me on a lackluster show for them to take that opportunity there. Fuck WWE for booking the whole division to not even give it a chance. It is so frustrating to attend a live show these days or almost any sport in general. The people are just rotten. The fan base seems to want to get themselves over more than anything. Anyways good luck with Survivor Series with Lesnar/Goldberg. That got zero reaction from the live attendance when they showed both video packages. Toronto is going to shit all over that one.
  3. If Cena is scheduled for Raw tomorrow he should be a complete broken man. No smiling or shrugging off the outcome. It was an exceptionally brutal beating and loss. This should eat him up and create doubt in him.
  4. That was a total mauling.
  5. Summerslam moving out of LA next year.
  6. Not a convincing match from Reigns to say he's the next big thing. Orton with two good looking counters (including an RKO that did fool me as finish) but not much other wise.
  7. Yeah, I got a huge laugh out of HHH doing a big bump off Brie.
  8. The announcing gushing over how hot Stephanie looks has me wondering if it is Vince through the headset feeding them the lines.
  9. I didn't like the start to match as expected more chaos right front he bat but once we got the lumberjacks involved this became really entertaining. Crazy unglued Ambrose is fantastic. I could do without another Kane interference spot though.
  10. That was pretty good. The Rusev/Lana act was entertaining here.
  11. I want the German commentating option!
  12. My feed (on PS3) keeps pausing and then fast forwards to try catch up so video and audio are not in sync. Pretty unwatchable right now as now is just completely freezing.
  13. Network is frustrating for me so far. Has "rewinded" back a few seconds five times already during pre show.
  14. Fell asleep twice watching this one. Not something to watch late at night. I did not really enjoy the submissions in match. Felt like they were just randomly putting them on. Reminded me of some of those Joshi matches where they spend the first half just cranking stuff in but there is no danger of a loss and submissions become mostly an afterthought the second half of bout. I did like some of the reversals/pinfalls attempts later in the match. But this one never got going enough for me.
  15. Oh my goodness. Ha, couldn't help but laugh at Johnny being messed up. What an intro, "I'm drunk". Liked that we returned back to WWF TV tapings. Good to get back to some angles/promos. Well done on the Joe McHugh bio. I like his delivery on introductions. This was the Sgt. Slaughter show and it rules. McHugh chasing after Sarge was hilarious. Loved these Cobra Clutch challenges and how it built up with each guy. Crowd was going nuts that McGraw was going to break it al the way up to Patterson where fans was so fired up. Slaughter having the cotton balls in his ears was awesome. I just love how he interacts with the crowd getting them to cheer Gomer more and more. Oh, we needed the full G.I.Joe the Movie theme song to be played! Had to watch it on youtube when I got home. Johnny calling Strongbow a good worker in that shark cage match?! Black Demon and Kelly. A perfect match. I hope this all leads to Kelly putting together a ranking of the best 100 jobbers. The end stuff with Patterson and Slaughter was so great. Pat getting busted open, Slaughter refusing to let go of the Clutch, the crowd shots! But "The Van" took this to the next level when he got a hold of the chair. Dominic adding to his legendary status.
  16. I sign into the Network almost every day! Usually watch/have in background on my Kindle when at work. Excellent show guys. There were some great ideas being thrown around. I never watch the live stream so the theme days/nights and Liquid TV stuff would be great. There are times at night where I want to throw something on but can't decide. I wish there was a random option where you push a button and it will load something for you. If you don't like the option you can skip to the next one. Playlists would be huge. Part of my problem is I may not be in the mood to watch a full show. I know I could skip stuff and watch specific matches but then if there is no chapters this is a pain to skip around to what I want to see. With the budget cuts I wonder what effect this will have on content update and overall upgrades to Network. There is still work to be done but you do wonder about how patient subscribers will be and well WWE too if not enough people are signing up or extending.
  17. Late to the party but listened today and enjoyed this one. Don't watch weekly so some of the mid carders I don't have enough of an opinion on but totally feel the same about guys like Jericho and RVD that shouldn't be wrestling as much now. Just not much else to accomplish for them. I never saw Swagger as Biff!! This is amazing as he totally is. Would love to listen to a Back to the Future wrestling fantasy booking show.
  18. They are through July 1995 for uploading Raw episodes. With them uploading about four shows a week they could be up to the Nitro launch date in September 1995 in not too long. So possible with the Monday Night War they have been plugging since the beginning that we could see Nitro episodes start to get uploaded in the next couple weeks. We will see.
  19. Amazed by this one. I know print is going out of style but still gets you when you see stuff like this go bye bye. Thought maybe they would go with the digital version only or something.
  20. What happened with WWE and the United Center in Chicago? They about opened the place in 94 but I don't remember them using it too much after. They just use the Rosemont Horizon which is a smaller venue.
  21. With the employee cuts will this be folks working on the Network? The work to get stuff up to grade to be uploaded to Network seems overwhelming as is. Losing staff is just going to make it worse especially with the huge focus on the Network. Unless they are just taking the stance that it is current programing that is driving subscriptions and only the few hardcores who care about older material.
  22. Might as well have Repo Man showing up and taking folks Apple TVs, Rokus, PS3s, etc.
  23. The audio for guys was lower than the usual. Had to raise my volume up good amount but then the music that pops in during the show was super loud and almost gave me a heart attack. I got quick as it went out to immediate jettison my headphones during the music spots. This might be the shortest Titans show to date? Though I think maybe you guys split it up with the Cobra Challenge. The crowd for Slaughter/Morales was amazing. I enjoyed this one and the crowd was a big factor. Slaughter is probably making the case for Wrestler of the Year so far but then again Parv as nominated Backlund twice in a row. I love guys interacting with the crowd during matches. Feels like a lost art. Sarge was having fits with the Gomer Pyle chants and kept putting his hands up to his ears. My favorite spot was when he got a wrist lock on Morales and the crowd started the chant. Slaughter's is contorted as he is trying to block out the chants but since he has both hands being used for the wrist lock he cannot put them up to his ears. He ends up letting the hold go as the chant gets to him so much. Here is the crowd helping out their guy Morales with the chants. Loved it. Hogan was twice as tall as McGraw but Rick had about the same build in size. So freaky looking. Hulk does seem wasted once Andre is not around. They aren't matching him up much with anyone else. I like Hansen promo here and as Johnny mentioned that ones from AWA. His promos from WCW with the chew all over his face were too goofy for me. Hansen beating up Backlund was great. Stan's appearance barely ever changed. His hair may change somewhat but he looked mostly the same from the 70's through the 90's. Bob has got much better blood in previous matches. He was trying his hardest sitting on the floor trying to pump it out. As Pete mentions it did pull the match to a stop. Was hoping Hansen would smash that little referee. Agreed with Parv on soccer hopefully not getting over in the US. May they never win a World Cup in my lifetime! Johnny doing different voices with trying to mimic Parv should be fun going forward if he keeps up the gimmick. I hope folks are hitting up the twitter account and demanding a Pedro bio.
  24. Ross or Russell at first seems like it would be either one of them. I admit to not seeing enough Memphis to rate Russell's impact on their group. Love the guy from what I've seen but he was also in WCW during the periods of Memphis I have seen. Ross can drive me nuts talking about football during matches. He kept babbling on about it in WCW. He can be great when he gets behind someone and repeatedly puts them over. He was always talking up Austin during his rise in WWF. Same for guys like The Rock and Triple H. But he could look disinterested in other guys. He got fired multiple times. Doesn't that hurt his importance to WWF? So I went with Vince McMahon! He gets over the angles better than anyone because as the promoter he knows exactly what is to be pushed. Could go alone and call matches himself. Had the ability to commentate and gel with a variety of guys. Can be serious when needs to be on getting over a critical angle or have some fun with guys like Heenan and Savage. Has great voice and could bring excitement to matches with his calls. He may not know all the moves (and few announcers do) but he could still get over the match action great. And even after he left the booth full-time he jumped in there for the Rock/Mankind empty arena match and was excellent.
  25. Am surprised to read folks here either not renewing or are on fence. Despite issues I have had there is no doubt about sticking with Network myself. I want the Network to succeed so I would prefer folks who actually use it to pay for it. With the lump sum thing are we suppose to change our settings now? I get the monthly alerts that they have taken money from my Paypal account. Are they going to just take the lump sum next time around? I won't have a problem with them doing that but I don't want them charging me $20 either as if I was just going month to month.
