  1. That's fascinating, this makes a lot more sense why the podcasting bubble continues to grow. It's also hilarious how companies continue to find ways to throw money at the wall and see what sticks, regardless of how much money they are throwing
  2. I...guess? If Tenryu is a 10 in the Tenryu scale, Mox might be a 3.
  3. I guess Tony will add all the days Bryan "owes" because of injury by making him full blown booker after 2024
  4. Swerve and Hangman starting a feud seems promising too. I think this is the best booked Dynamite after a PPV I've seen in the 2 years I've been following the promotion.
  5. Joe is the perfect opponent for this version of MJF. Promo went long but I kinda like Max being the insecure and immature dude he's always been...but he's trying to be better, that's what character development should be.
  6. Specially if it's fucking Jericho. It wasn't a promo per se but Starks did not disappoint in that pre tape post All Out. The teased a Danielson promo for Collision right after it so I guess we getting a rematch at Grand Slam maybe? I Quit match?
  7. I rewatched it and I was still wincing at every shot they took after the one Dragon gave Ricky on the top rope. From that point forward the match was so fucking violent. Commentary team being as weary, disgusted and in awe as everyone else was kinda funny. Normally they are quick to call these type of matches a classic (because it was) but shit was so savage that they were probably concerned for both of them taking that kind of punishment. I cannot fucking wait for Ricky's promo on Collision.
  8. This show was fucking awesome. Hobbs vs Miro made me smile like I haven't with a wrestling match in quite a while. Danielson vs Stark made me squirm like I haven't in a long, long time. What a fucking match. Omega and Takeshita delivered even though they were in a tough position in the card. Don't like Mox winning, at all, OC better get this W back relatively soon and this better become a lasting feud.

    CM Punk Fired

I assumed the "fear for my life" was a line fed to him by the legal team, every line on that whole statement was there for a reason.

    CM Punk Fired

Well, Danielson is back 1 month before it was expected so we probably should enjoy what he does before he's on the shelf again.
  11. All Out might be an entire different animal, but I did not expect such a tame crowd from Collision. Very few pocket of fans wanted to even try to get a CM Punk chant going and it died down quick as fuck. Legit surprised by that. If it happens tomorrow too it would mean people from every corner of the fandom was tired of the bullshit and just wanted to move on.

    CM Punk Fired

WWE should offer him a 3 month per appearance deal were they get the benefits of him coming back, creating buzz, having a big angle to set up a big match at a PLE and then send him back home before he gets any ideas of him having a bigger role in the company (or starting shit because he thinks other people shouldn't have certain pushes or positions). Basically, make some good money for a short run and let him go quickly before he ruins it.

    CM Punk Fired

1.- I get it, though I don't agree with it in the sense that this was a last resort move that could've been avoided sooo many fucking times that it's very hard to accept this outcome and not be bummed out about it. 2.- Punk was a moron and behaved like a 43 year old adolescent so I don't feel bad for him. I'm bummed because he could still give us an interesting wrestling product and we are not gonna see it in a company that badly needs his level of understanding and vision of pro wrestling. 3.- The side that "won" is just as bad as Punk and this firing will not solve the glaring issues AEW has backstage. I feel like Punk played into the hands of the people he resented in the company, he did exactly what they were expecting and in the end he lost. 4.- A lot of us were weary of making Collision "the Punk show". I thought injuries were gonna be the thing fucked those plans but him being fired is even worse. The fuck you do that with that time slot? 5.- How long before we get the "tell all" podcast with Nick Hausman? Phil is gonna unload and a portion of the AEW fanbase will not know what to do with themselves. 6.- How long before someone shows up and asks if this some super well thought out "work"? EDIT: oh shit, it already happened! LMAO
  14. The All Out card should be the Grand Slam card, not a fucking PPV. After this show, Chicago is going to 100% rely on Punk coming back to sell tickets again because this show is a "sorry, couldn't help it, it really isn't my fault...but fuck you" by AEW.
  15. I feel like the "it's a work" argument for any AEW backstage fuckery is old. I mean sure, at some point one of these stories will be a wotk, maybe, but so far we are like 0 for 20, it's never been a work.
  16. Him cussing Tony out is the only justifiable thing Punk did all weekend, lol. Specially after the travel issues he had, he was probably ready to chew someone out anyway with that alone. Then the Perry stuff happens and Punk explodes again. I like the report of Joe basically going "you are NOT gonna fuck up my match in front of 80,000 people" and making sure Punk was ready for the opener. I'ma believe that one until disproven
  17. He instigated shit with both Eddie and Andrade IIRC. Perry is getting suspending for instigating shit with Punk...
  18. The reason I asked about possible suspensions yesterday was because unless your name is Sammy Guevara, Tony set the precedent of people getting suspended when there's backstage physicality. Honestly don't know how to feel about him staying put and possibly not using Punk in Chicago when that crowd WILL chant for him and probably will hijack any match that has an Elite member. I hope Don Callis and Takeshita take advantage of the atmosphere they gonna encounter on Sunday...
  19. The last year of AEW fuckery in one sentence.
  20. I think that will depend on how many tickets they sell for Wembley next year. I think the main reason Tony was able to stash any big singles match was because the show was basically sold out 8 weeks in advance. I don't think that will be the case next year unless AEW gains big momentum in the first half of 2024. So TK will be forced to put more effort on the card and the build up to it.
  21. He's been doing the legdrop since he returned, he mostly does it to get heat. Not sure he needed in the Joe match but I didn't mind it.
  22. I wonder if there's gonna be any suspension stemming from the Perry/Punk altercation. Tony has to come up with 3 big cards in the next 5 weeks with All Out (some matches announced but doesn't seem we have the main event yet, unless it's Omega vs Takeshita), Grand Slam and Wrestle Dream. Doesn't seem he can afford losing Punk again.
  23. Tony just confirmed that next year he'll book All In and All Out in back to back weekends again (and Chicago will continue to get that PPV) He also said AEW will make money for All Out this year just with ticket revenue (that will be over 1 million) and even if they don't sell a single PPV they'll be making money for that weekend.
  24. I was sports entertained by that main event. Also, that coffin match was crazy, lol. FTR closing this incredible 2023 run with a tag title match against Darby/Sting is the right thing to do. A very entertaining show, I hope it's was good enough live for next year's show. Tony sure loves his PPVs on a local holiday.
  25. BTW, JR has got to leave the commentary booth. He's a detriment to every single match he calls/comments.
