The blame lies at the feet of Bob Carter. -

NJPW or ROH might buy the TNA tape library if it cheap enough . ROH still sells a fair amount of DVDS , they could chop up the footage into a series of Best Of' s. NJPW could use the TNA footage on their network. -

Corgan worth around $ 50 million. I sure he could easily buy TNA . The problem is finding a network . -

Well now I guess we know why Bobby Roode was backstage at ROH last weekend. I guess Roode , Eddie Edwards and Austin Aries could get spots in ROH . I know Aries had heat with ROH , but he is a money draw. Maybe Matt Hardy . Richards and King will never get booked by anyone but Jarrett. Richards burned every bridge he ever crossed. I guess the rest of them will be picked up by Jarrett , go to the indies or leave the businesss. Should be an interesting process to watch . Damn glad I am not living it . Hate to see anyone lose their job . -

Rumor is TNA Impact has been cancelled by Destination America ? Last show to air in September . I have no link , it is just a rumor. Can anyone confirm ? In the end I guess the WWE , NJPW , ROH , AAA and GFW will pick the bones of TNA . It is realy just a matter of time. -
GFW startiong to release cards for the basebal shows. They are generic house shows . The same matches will be mostly repeated over each weekend. There is a match booedk in Bowling Green , KY between the Young Bucks and PJ Black/ Andrew Everrett . Chuck Taylor is on the first four cards. Chuck and Trent work with Tate Twins in Tennessee . Chuck is in a three way with Jimmy Rave and Jigsaw in jackson , MS. Karl Anderson , Doc Gallows , Chris Masters , Shelton Benjamin are some of the bigger mnames on the tour. Some local talent is getting shots in a few towm . Dustin Starr in Jackson , TN , Luke Hawx in Jackson , MS and Chase Owens/ Jason Kincaid in Knoxville , TN . It looks like a lot of guys are getting a look at these baseball shows , which is great for everybody.

Too expensive. GFW would have to pay for work visa's for these guys. Throw the trans on top of that and you would really have a major cost. These guys need to try and get a green card and just move state side. Claudio won a lottery for a green card and it worked out for him. However , all the names you mentioned are great talents.

Hey , I notice that Adam Cole was not booked . Also Nigel was not booked . Maybe Sinclair has stopped flying Nigel in just to do a couple of promos ? I don't think the ROH match maker , Nigel McGuiness , name was mention during any point in the show.
-
The word is that Fish missed his flight. So did ACH , but of course he got another one . However his gear was stuck in Buffallo , hence the long tights. I loved the show . I went into it knowing the NJPW big 3 would not put anyone over, their matches would just be showcases . The matches were fine , good to see these guys in North America. I like the finish of the 3 way tag . It really helped enforce that Daniels and Kazarian are just a couple of heels who will take any short cut to win a match. I like seeing Kushida get the win . He dropped two in Philly , he was due a big win. ROH should try to book Kushida on a regular basis , he really fits in with the company .. The main event was just insane fun , those guys are just nuts . Roderick Strong should get bookings with NJPW after this tour . He is the MVP of this tour. Strong proved how great he really is in the ring. Who cares if he cannot cut a promo , his work more than makes up for his lack of mic skills. The only things I did not like were all of the managers and seconds . I do not see why Moose needs two managers. Veda Scott and Stokely Hathaway really add nothing to the show. Waste of money to book them. Also I am weary of Maria 's act . I guess if you are 13 years old that sort of thing will hold you interest . I buy a wrestling ippv to watch wrestling. There is a strip club about 4 miles from my house , I could just go there to see Maria's act. I would have rather seem Liger wrestle than do a comedy match . I though Silas Young got a bad deal tonite , he should be in more high profile matches at this point in his career . Silas has more than paid his dues. All in all a good time. I would buy the replay, it is worth the money.

Any indy guys in Texas that might get a look from Jarrett's group. I know that Raymond Rowe and ACH are with ROH . Lance Hoyt already been booked. Anybody else down that might show up in GFW ?
-
Shelton Benjamin , Andrew Everett , Scott and Cody Hall are booked in Jackson , MS. DDP and Hacksaw Duggan doing PR for GFW . Looks like Jarrett are booking every available name and just seeing who gets over. That the way I would book it a new company . Just throw everybody out there and let the fans decide who stays and who goes. Still waiting for Tommy Mercer , Shawn Schultz and Shawn Williams names to be called .

I wonder if Alberto will work the San Antonio double shot ? If I am not mistaken he lives there . It would be an easy double shot for ADR , he could work and have a weekend at home. Also will AAA send talent to ROH ? I know that ROH is sending Moose and ACH to the Trio's PPV , Maybe a couple of AAA guys would be booked in San Antonio . If Chikara can booked them . you think ROH could as well.
-
I will give this a shot . If I can get away from work early , I will go to the first show in Jackson , TN . It is about 80 miles from my home. The big question to me is will GFW simply be TNA without the Carter family or an interesting wrestling promotion that I can enjoy ? We will find out soon enough . Also I would imagine the talent line ups for these baseball shows will not featured many of the talents announced in Las Vegas. I would imagine that the undercard will consist of regional and OVW talent. I still look for names like Cliff Compton , Tommy Mercer , Shane Williams , Shawn Schultz , Tate Twins , Jason Kincaid , the top OVW guys and other Southern indy guys to fill out thecards. I would be great with having local guys with high potential on these cards. I love to see new talent get a break.

The rumor on Ciampa was that he wanted more money and exculsive deal. The Briscoes , Elgin , Lethal , Cole and ReDRagon all are on salary . Guys like Ciampa get paid by the date. They could not come to terms. I guess the bottom line was they could not agree on money.
-
I wonder how this effects Anderson , Gallows , Smith and Hoyt availability for ROH shows. Are these guys on loan to Jarrett from NJPW ? Will they still be booked on ROH shows ? Interestling to see how the politics work out . If Jarrett was smart he would try to co-exist with ROH and just pick TNA talent roster apart.

Biff Busick and Thatcher are under some type of contract with Evolve . I not sure but I think that Gabe's " contracts " only exist to prevent Evolve talent from taking ROH dates . I am really not sure if the WWN can work GFW dates , Gabe has been working with TNA so who knows. Moose is under contact with ROH until around the end of June. Odd that GFW would annouce a ROH talent . I guess Moose is a short timer with ROH .

I said Zach Randolph was Vader. He hit the Bay Area with a Vader Bomb tonight . Conley is Terry Funk , working with one eye. Just Outstanding !!!! -
Boy Tony . Nothing better than see Tony Falk in drag with pancake maleup on Saturday morning . The whole gimmick was really in poor taste , but I enjoyed his act . I think that Falk's southern accent really help push the Boy Tony character to new levels of awfulness .

How many guys did Verne train ? I recalled Buddy Rose says that Verne did charge for the training upfront , he would take 10 % of the wrestlers first year pay for the training fee . That was a great deal for the trainees. Of the top of my head Verne trained Ric Flair , Ricky Steamboat , Ken Patera , Iron Sheik , and Buddy Rose. That alone is quite a legacy .

I guess FIP exists so that Sal Hamaoui can play wrestling booker . FIP cannot be making any money. If they were smart they would put all of their resources into building the Evolve brand, instead of running all of these separate brands. All of these WWN promotions are like nomads wandering the desert. No one knows when they are going to run , where they are going to run and that seem have given up on releasing DVDS. Hard to build a fan base the way that WWN operates their business.

I thought that Janice Carter had close the Panda checkbook to TNA. It is clear that to TNA is suffering from major cash flow problems. The one source of income TNA has is TV rights , which have been reduced when Spike dumped the company. . There are no house shows or PPV's. I am sure that the gimmick sales are almost nothing at this point of the game. The TV tapings are a cost for TNA, they do not generate any income running in a theme park. One would think to Panda is not cutting checks to contractors until TNA collects enough money to cover their expenses. That is why everyone is leaving the company, the Carters shut down the gravy train. The Carters were fools not to sell the company to Viacom or the Toby Keith group. It appears that TNA has been reduced to nothing more than a vehicle to provide Divie Carter and her husband a monthly salary . -
I just tried to watched the Dayton show from February . The main events were ADR vs Strong and the Briscoe's vs ACH/ Sydal. Steve Corino has not at the show , I would guess his absence was a cost saving measure. ROH used managers to provide color commentary . Maria Kanellis was bought out to do color on the ADR/ Strong. ROH spent alot of money to book ADR , I was really looking forward to the match. Maria spent the most of the time putting herself and Mike Bennett over, she never really paid attention to the match . Kevin Kelly guided her thur a series of questions that allow the audience to know that Maria was beautiful and talented . All of the time Roderick and Alberto were working hard under the lights were being ignored by Kelly and Kanellis. A new manager , Stokely Hathaway , was bought to do color for the tag match . Moose was at ringside , so Stokely used the main event air time to put Moose over with the TV audience . This kind of stuff really hurts the matches and disrespects the in ring talent . I get that ROH wants to push Maria and Moose , put just have them cut promos instead of babbling during the main events. The commentary was so bad on both matches and eventually hit the mute button. Dave and Lenny may have not been the best announcers , but at least they called the action in the ring. ROH would be better served to have Corino at every show and have the announcers focus the match in the ring.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?

I just re -watched the first two weekly TNA PPV from 2002. I did watch the PPV live with high hopes. The only thing that kept this from being the worst wrestling show in history is the X- Division match with Psicosis , AJ Styles , Low Ki and Jerry Lynn . I cannot believe that Jerry Jarrett booked this train wreck . Vince Russo must have booked the show , he the only one that could put together a piece of crap like this PPV. I mean Richard and Rod Johnson , that had to be Russo. The most amazing thing was that the show was so bad , yet the cards were not totally devoid of talent. . Ken Shamrock , Scott Hall , Wolfie D , Devon Storm , Steve Corino , Ron Killings , Konnan , James Storm , Chris Harris , Jimmy Yang , Apollo and the X -Division guys were just some of the talent booked by TNA. You would think that the Jarretts would have put put a respectable show with that crew. Jerry must stepped aside and let Jeff sink or swim on his own merits. -
The good news is that Morishima can now work on his health . Hopefully he will be able to lose weight and restore his health .

Larry Lane was the booker for Stampede. I read Heath McCoy 's book on Stampede and he described in detail the problems Lane had with Bruce Hart. Bruce keep running to his mother to undermine Lane 's booking. Lane time in Calgary is covered in Pain and Passion : The History of Stampedr Wrestling by Heath McCoy .
