  1. ROH gets a bunch of things from NJPW . They get the revenue from the NJPW / ROH shows . The revenue stream includes the gate , DVD , PPV , TV and PPV money . ROH is really good at wringing every last dollar out of their shows . ROH does get NJPW bookings for their talent, which has helped the company resign a few guys. Also when , NJPW signs a ROH talent , like Michael Elgin , ROH still to to use the wrestler as a attraction . ROH can still book Elgin , however they no longer have the fixed cost of his contract. Now , ROH is getting access to young NJPW talent , such as Jay White and Kamaitachi . Now , ROH is going to get access to CMLL talent via NJPW . The CMLL stars should create increased revenues .. ROH also has a easier time signing new talent because of the NJPW. It is no secret that the WWE has ramped up NXT and starting using Evolve as a holding area for top indy talent in a effort to diminish and/ or destroy ROH . NJPW gets a lot from ROH , besides the money from the tours. . NJPW gets access to current ROH talent and the prospects coming thur the ROH camp system . NJPW get coverage on free American Broadcast TV via the Sinclair stations. Plus , SBGI group has purchased the Tennis Channel for $ 350 million . The rumor is the Tennis Channel will be converted to an all sports station , which would mean more American household coverage. All of this feed into NJPW to grow their product in North America. NJPW is partnering with ROH because they are owned by SBGI , which is four times larger than the WWE . SBGI produce more revenue than the in the first quarter of 2016 , than the WWE will produce for the entire year. That does not mean that SBGI will invest more in ROH , but that have the capital to invest in the wrestling business.
  2. Sullivan would work managing Jason Kincaid and Punisher Martinez , if ROH decides to book them on a regular basis . He could really be effective in helping to get new talent over.
  3. New around these parts? Roh had Monster Mafia (Josh Alexander and Ethan Page) both willing to sign and they choice not to because they wouldn't go to a pay to play training camp and that was before WWEvolve was snatching everyone up, they had Austin Aries come back for 1 show, had Willie Mack, AR Fox, Corey Holis, and Jonathan Gresham have "try-outs" that went nowhere, and worst of all they could have used Ricochet but chose not too. The problem isn't the talent getting stolen it's that ROH doesn't seem to see what talent they should be going after even when it's right in front of them. , No , not new around here . I wish I was new , I would be a lot younger. Anyway you really did not understand and/ or read my post. ! . You high lighted Kenny Omega , suggesting that I did not know he had a previous run in ROH . . Yes , I know Omera worked in Roh before and had issues with Cary Silken . However , Silken sold to SBGI and Omega works for NJPW . SIlken is moot point now. Lo and Behold Kenny Omega returns to ROH for the Las Vegas PPV . If Randy Savage , Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden agreed to work for Jerry Jarrett , anything is possible . Wrestling is a business , people only care about the money. I am aware of the issues with Ethan Page and others . Austin Aries was just a one shot . I am also aware that Lucha Underground offer Ricochet services , but SBGI did not want to pay the booking fee . These things are just smaller issues that pop up in any business. I was talking about the overall ongoing trend of not acquiring talent in a timely manner . I never said ROH was allowing talent to be stolen . I never used the words steal or stolen . You cannot steal human beings , people have free will they can work where ever they desire. What I said that ROH was being outworked by NXT and Evolve as far as the obtaining new talent. ROH is not agressive in signing new talent , they drag their feet and let NXT or Evolve sign people that are right under their nose. It is more than just one or two cases, it is a ongoing issue. SBGI just purchased the Tennis Channel for $ 350 million and they also. lost AJ Styles to the WWE just over $ 100,000 . Styles is not a mark for the business, all AJ cares about is money . SBGI could have easier beaten the WWE offer for Styles . Sinclair has millions in retained earnings . They are just not serious enough about growing ROH. Sinclair has the money to sigh any talent in the business, they just choose to take least expensive options.
  4. ROH is fading because the WWE is taking all of the talent via NXT or Evolve. ROH has lost out on Peter Kassa , Matt Riddle, Tracy Williams ,Fred Yehi , Timothy Thatcher, Drew Galloway , Ethan Page , Zack Sabre , JR. , Tommy End , Chris Hero , Johnny Gargano , Biff Busick , Tommaso Ciampa , Samoa Joe , Austin Aries and Uhaa Nation just in the past 1 or 1 1/2 year . Now AJ Styles , Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are gone. ROH has picked up TNA/ WWE releases Matt Sydal , Christopher Daniels , Frankie Kazarian and Chris Sabin . However , Sydal refuses to sign a contract , Sabin is always hurt and the other two are past their prime . The last two years of tryout camps have results in Donovan Dijak , Dalton Castle , Raymond Rowe and Hanson . Dijak and Castle have the potential to draw money. The big gets were securing the services the Young Bucks and Alex Shelly , who are also NJPW talents. It is clear that the NXT / Evolve duo is taking a large chunk of available talent out of the market , which is leaving ROH with a stagnant product . ROH needs to go and book talent like Chuck Taylor , Mike Bailey , Chris Dickinson and Kenny Omega to inject some excitement into the product.
  5. Who has a better arm drag than him? Jack Brisco . Steamboat watched Big Jack on CWF, while he was in high school. Ricky took the arm drag from Big Jack.
  6. Jimmy loves Lacey . Great promos from Jacobs. The wars Jacobs fought with BJ Whitmer and Colt Cabana to protect Lacey's " honor " were classics. Also the later angle were Jacobs tried to recruit Austin Aries to the Age Of The Fall , only to have AA double steal Lacey way from him.Jacobs really developed in a great performer during this program The Nigel McGuiness vs, Colt Cabana feud from 2005 has always been overlooked . The blow off was the Soccer Riot Match . Great series of matches between two pros. Cabana feud with Homicide in 2005/ 06 was just great. Colt faced his fear of the NYC street thug and fought tooth and nail with Homicide in a great series of brawls. Homicide road to the ROH title. After the Cabana feud Homicide cut a bloody path thur the CZW outlaws . Great matches with Chris Hero , Claudio Castagnoli and the Necro Butcher led to the Cage of Death . Homicide led the ROH team to victory , only to have Jim Cornette turn heel on Homicide after the war was won. The next chapter saw Homicide battle the Briscoes , Steve Corino and Adam Pearce to get his shot at Bryan Danielson , where he won the title. A great program and just a great story . Homicide beat the system and became champion. The Briscoe Brothers vs. Kevin Steen and El Generico feud was another gem. Gabe gave Steen and Generico a tryout in 2005 . He decided against using them , so they name their names in PWG . They were bought back for one match with the Briscoes . Of course they were great and the war between the two raged on in 2007 . Steen was the abusive heel bullying the baby face Generico . This is were Steen really came into his own playing abusive heel who was really an insecure mama's boy. The ladder match at MAN UP was just insane. I still believe that Steen and Generico should have won the belts . However this program really put Steen and Generico on the map. On the TNA side , there are several programs I really enjoyed during the Nashville years. The Jerry Lynn vs. AJ Styles vs. Low Ki program for the X division title was very good. The veteran Lynn battling two upstarts to hold on to his spot . Lynn anger toward the arrogant and disrespectful Styles really worked during this feud. The business like Low KI was the man in the middle willing to destroy both men to get to the top. Very underrated series. The Triple X vs. AMW feud was a great one. The two cages matches between Christopher Daniels / Elix Skipper vs. James Storm / Chris Harris were great . . The blow off cage match in Orlando free up Daniels to start his X division program with Styles and Samoa Joe , which is the highlight of TNA entire run. .
  7. No , he a monster that dropa human being from the roof of Kemper Arena.
  8. Sinclair is worth $ 3 billion , the WWE is worth $ 800, 000 . Sinclair owns 179 TV stations and they can buy and sell the WWE 3 times and have money left over. They run ROH on the cheap by choice ,
  9. Vince did want to drive the other companies out of business . He wanted all the money for himself. Plus he enjoyed kicking their ass. He will tell you that . Example . Vince went into to Portland and bought Portland wrestling TV time out from under the. Don Owens did not have TV and was out of business in a year . The Portland territory was no threat to the WWW , yet the Owens family business was destroyed by Vince. I am just saying that these talents are not being signed for their in ring talent or drawing power , the WWE is trying to weaken NJPW .
  10. Did not claim Crockett or anyone other wrestling promoter was a saint. My point is that nothing changed about the WWE . Vince has not fall in love with indy wrestling. He is just a businessman that is trying to increase his profits while wrecking his competitors business. .
  11. He booked a NXT show opposite of Field of Honor , booked Liger and hurt ROH 's gate . ROH drew 2, 200 , but would have drew over 4, 000 if not for NXT . The fact that ROH is owned by a public traded broadcast company has not escape the WWE 's notice . . Sinclair has a lot the potential to cause the WWE major problems if they ever invest in their wrestling company..
  12. I think: a. The fact that so many of their top guys were high profile indy/international signings who have done very well and b. The fact that HHH personally supports these guys makes your whole point pretty invalid. I mean come on. CM Punk, Bryan, Rollins, Ambrose, Owens, Cesaro, Balor, etc. It's not like they've brought all these guys in and buried them. Most of them have actually been treated way better than most of their "home grown" talent. Vince enjoys taking the top guys from others companies and thus damaging the competing brand.. He enjoys driving his competitors out of business. Remember Vince hates wrestling, he never any wrestling product but the WWE . . What he loves is money , control and power . I recall him taking the Dudleys and TAZ from ECW just before they started on TNN. He just wanted to take the ECW champions away before the TNN launch . It could have been Sandman and the IMpact Payers , he just wanted to hurt ECW . If they though Styles was so great , the WWE would have signed him 10 years ago. . My points are very valid. your points are not valid because it's the year 2016 and not 1999. The year does not matter . It could be 1986 , 1999 , 2001 or 2016 . I am talking about Vince McMahon . He is a ruthless businessman who loves to stomp his competitors . He will never change. All these other stuff is not important. Vince does not want NJPW to continue to grow and become a rival to the WWE . He cannot buy them , so he taked their top guys. He done it his whole career. HHH may care about these guys , but VInce is all business ..

  14. My take is that the guys are just being sign to hurt NJPW and ROH . The WWE does not really care pushing about these guys . Vince did the same thing to ECW , Mid - South , Mid- Atlantic , AWA and Memphis. It all about damaging the NJPW and ROH brands. Vince is not happy unless has has competitors to destroy .
  15. Anything involved Vince McMahon . You can choose from the Owen Hart death, him mocking God on TV , the Kiss my ass Club , Drugging Linda , Having an affair with Trish , making Trish get down on her knees and bark like a dog , bragging about his own semen , kidnapping his own daughter , making a joke out of Lawler's heart attack , and much , much more. Vince is the biggest scumbag in Wrestling history and one one the top scumbags of all time. He is your winner. I love wrestling but I will not give that monster one dime.if anything in poor taste happen in the WWF , McMahon is behind it all.
  16. Sure , I get that , but nepotism is why he is in the decade storyline in the first place. So they should have gotten some "deserving" guy to play the role of Steve Corino's son? There should not even be a story line for " Corino's " son . We can go around and around. I just don ' t think wrestlers children deserve special treatment. Corino should work smaller promotions for a few years. He should also build up his body he way too small and needs at least 20 pounds of muscle. I don't think his career should be fast tracked because he is Steve Corino 's son. Let him pay his dues. Give his spot to someone who is ready . That is just my opinion . Well the fucking point of the storyline is that Corino's "nearly untrained, hardly ready" kid who "hates his Dad" is being used and abused by Corino's arch enemy with promises of a career and opportunities. It's a great story. It's fucking Memphis 101, and i'd imagine you of all people would see that.Do you hate that Raven brainwashed Sandman's actual son who didn't earn his spot and there were better child actors out there who deserved a shot? I started watching Memphis wrestling in 1970 . I have seen the Colby Corino story line many times. I watch ROH for quality matches, not tired out story lines. I have over a 100 hours of Memphis to watch . I enjoy the Memphis product , but I don';t want to see ROH go down that road. I want quality ring work from ROH. Maybe Steve should take off his belt and whip Colby on TV . Like Bill and Jamie Dundee did in the 90's. ROH does not need these type of story lines , they need to focus on the in ring product.. Like I said it is just my opinion , that does not mean I am right or wrong.
  17. Great post. They overpaid for Styles to try and stop the growth of NJPW/ROH . Let's see who the WWE releasing in the next few months to keep their labor costs in line.

  19. The word is that TNA overpaid to get Maria . If ROH matched the TNA offer Mike and Maria would have been the paid more than any other ROH talent except the Young Bucks. I guess ROH can now use the Mike & Maria money to help resign Fish , O ' Reilly and Lethal . I never really cared for either , no big loss.
  20. Did Stan Hansen and Arn Anderson ever worked together ? If not I would have like to seen that match .
  21. I believe Hack moved to Florida . That was his reason for leaving ECW . I guess Paul E. did not want to pay trans from Florida . Same thing happened to Mustafa when he moved out west. I just watch Hack wrestle Don E. Allen last week . Very underrated talent from ECW early days . He really connected with the crowd and did not get near enough credit for helping to build the ECW brand. Rest in Peace .
  22. Sure , I get that , but nepotism is why he is in the decade storyline in the first place. I would rather a more deserving talent get showcased in his spot.
  23. This is only a big match to me . I always wanted to see Mark and Jay Briscoe vs. James Storm and Chris Harris. A TNA vs. ROH match. Also wanted to see the Dudleys vs. Mark and Jay.
  24. Colby Corino and Brian Fury added to the TPT. It looks really bad for ROH to book Corino's kid for the TPT . First all he is about 19 years old and weights around 150 lbs.. Then ROH charges guys to attend their camps , then gives a spot to someone because is father is the play by play guy. There is no way Colby Corino deserves to booked if people like Andy Dalton , Shane Taylor , Keith Lee, Marin Stone , Aaron Solow , JT Dunn and countless others are not booked for the show. I am fine with Brian Fury , solid talent.
  25. Or it makes Dusty a dick for calling Baby Doll fat and blaming her for the condition of a horse his giant fat ass probably hurt. Yeah . Maybe it does. The whole thing is pretty funny . Dusty was such a great story teller he could get the audience emotionally invested in Floyd the horse . I still blame Baby Doll . Dusty was not really fat , he was just big boned . You know like Tommy Rich.
