  1. No I do get where they are coming from and it's garbage in my view. They are lousy human beings at best.
  2. Sadly it was not. He called the Hogan-Perfect SNME match. Pretty sure THAT was the last Hogan match he ever called.
  3. The thing about TV and movie is you can edit these problems out if an actor is trying to sabotage the work or another actor's performance. You can't do that with live TV.
  4. I would have hauled him up and whispered "how many of these do you want to take before you take one right you selfish piece of ....." if I were Nash. People, Vince more than anyone, enabled this unprofessional prick by either getting off on it, latching on to exploit it, or just tolerating it.
  5. I feel like LOD's WWF run wasn't that impressive. Just what you did in the WWF from 84-WM VIII is the criteria. Demos had a much better run than LOD in the WWF.
  6. If that was what we were talking about (i was including up to WM VIII) then Dibiase doesn't make much sense as a pick. He had his opening skits and maybe 10 or so matches on TV by the end of 87,
  7. And Bobby Heenan. But my friends wanted wrestlers only. Heenan did wrestle some as did Ventura, but it's hardly what they are known for.
  8. Jake is an interesting case. He main evented with Andre for a run, and had random main events off and on throughout the era. Tito and Valentine were done as draws after WM 2.
  9. Duggan did Alf? Please tell me this is online somewhere.
  10. Last night I was watching Roddy Piper's old Coliseum Video (autographed) as a tribute with a couple of wrestling friends. They posed a question to me I want to offer to the group. In their mind the top 5 Hulkamania era WWF wrestlers were Hogan, Piper, Andre, Savage and Warrior (in terms of the biggest stars). With 4 of those 5 deceased, who would your top 5 living be? It has to be for stuff done in the WWF only in Hogan's 2nd run (January 84-WM VIII) and only wrestlers, no Vince, managers or commentators. Guys like Flair, Shawn Michaels or Undertaker just weren't around long enough. I feel like Jake Roberts and Ted Dibiase are now slam dunks for this. Beyond that though.......Orndorff? Honky? Duggan? Beefcake? Maybe Bret would at least was a tag and IC champ during this era and around for almost all of it? Tito? Valentine?
  11. I'd challenge Kelly tomorrow. At this point he's the Honky Tonk Man of brainbuster. His luck's gotta run out.
  12. It's not a board game but my friends and I have a huge collection of Raw Deal, the WWF/WWE CCG. Probably 10,000 cards in all, 24 decks and have played since the first day the game came out about 15-16 years ago. Favorite moments include Trish Stratus defeating A-Train in a buried alive match.
  13. Reo Rogers of Reo's roundup. That's less obscure since clips made a PPV tape. The Wizard is so obscure I never heard of him and I watched every week of this time period.
  14. It seems based on last night she's definitely playing second fiddle to Charlotte. And the almighty Steph of course.
  15. Ordered today but sadly the matches don't work for me after about a minute I get an endless loading loop on all 3 browers (windows on a pc). Getting tech support Monday as they can't figure it out either.
  16. Stephanie McMahon annoys me in any version but her Smackdown GM mode was particularly cringe inducing. RIck Steiner's pushes in WCW 1999 at the expense of better workers. Chyna basically destroying the entire women's division to such an extent that it took six months before she was gone to have much of a reboot.
  17. It's the one thing that's going to drive me away some day, it's values are just the complete opposite of everything I believe as a human being. Vince McMahon particularly is as a polar opposite from me in creed and philosophy as it is possible to be.
  18. I did color commentary for an indy show in Methuen MA. They had very poor equipment so we had to speak loudly and the fans heard it. I busted out every Bobby Heenan line I could think of "What has 100 legs, 6 teeth and an IQ of 25 - the front row of this building" and acted like cocky jerk. So bad that fans were shouting back and wanting to kill me. By halftime the promoter asked me if I would be willing to end the show getting laid out. I was scared to death as I am NOT an athlete and not trained obviously but I agreed to let the main face headbutt me out. Adrenaline was so high I did a pretty good 360 flop onto the floor in a heap to massive cheers.
  19. I don't work Fridays and this is an awesome surprise to start my weekend. Thanks guys. With the gap between this and WTBBP I was wondering if Parv was retiring.
  20. Ron Moody died today too. This was just a terrible day for great performers. The Dream is someone who grew on me in the last 20 years big time.
  21. Did Nikki turn face AGAIN this week? This is getting silly.
  22. Bret with Savage on SNME did the same thing but on a much bigger stage. Shawn with Diesel at WM 11 but that was another example of Shawn's unprofessional BS.
  23. I think it would be a good in joke for the Bellas to turn every show for the rest of the year.
  24. You guys hit my thoughts on Lex Luger exactly. Can we just start some fantasy booking thread with Luger winning the Starrcade match?
  25. Surprised nobody brought up the Hardy Boyz and Lita. They were hugely over with younger women based on what I heard from crowds from the moment they teamed up till the ill conceived breakup in late 2001.
