WWC passes for this month.
-
Just in case (to avoid confusion), this would be Jose Estrada Sr. (yes, one half of Los Conquistadors).
-
The big Charlotte/Natalya NXT match from 2014 completely fudged the figure four sequence near the finish as well, with Charlotte and Natalya rolling through it multiple times as "reversals," so maybe a trip back to the vault to study Tito and the Hammer would be wise (since the last thing Charlotte needs to see is any more of Ric's work). I can buy it based on Nikki having banged up her knee during the match. I know when I've had a banged up knee the last thing i want to do is have it supporting my weight (let alone someone else's) by lying on it and having the ground press up against it.

Just to make sure i don't hold this up later, WWC will be passing for November.
-
El Boricua do you recall what Month and Year the above clippings are from? Don't have dates for them, but my best guess is that the top left and bottom two ones are from Fall of 1983 (likely October or November). The top right one is from the latter half of 1984, definitely from some point after early August but not sure when.

We should finalize exactly what the rules/details are with regards to how dormant promotions will work and about how trades with them will be. I think there should be a limit to how many trades one can do with a dormant territory during a certain time frame. We also need to figure out how to handle the possibility of wanting to bring in a wrestler from a dormant territory for a few shots. Also, a few of us seem in favor of upping the manager limit to 3. Anyone else in agreement or in disagreement for doing that? And we should definitely allow a reasonable grace period for people over the cap.

Why do the options say Yes and Now?
-
I have a proposal for trades with inactive promotions. Would it be possible to designate a third party that is not a current owner to act as a commissioner for trades. Sort of an inactive promotion steward. I worry that we might get into the habit (myself included) of rubber stamping trades just to avoid getting one of our proposed trades nixed. It also allows for more than one person to submit a proposal for the same wrestler and have a unaffiliated third party determine which is the best one.
-
What about short-term wrestler loans or exchanges that have already been agreed upon and started with territories that may go/are going dormant?
-
Agreed Seconded. I also don't mind if we increase the number of allowable managers to three. I only have two and don't plan on adding any more, but I think three would be fine as the manager amount.
-
I'm not voting until we get a set definition of what inactivity entails. If not, my vote will be No with the right to change it to a Yes once there is a set definition. As for roster size, would it be possible to consider different cap sizes depending on the territory in question, or is everyone on board with it heing the same for all?

You can add the first Colon vs. Hansen match from their 86-87 feud to the list. It was 10/12/86 if I'm not mistaken.

Fair for Flair: a mini-series
El Boricua replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in GWE Podcasts and Publications
You are correct about the vowels. I have a co-worker who was born in the U.S. but moved here to Puerto Rico around age 9 and had to learn Spanish. She said it became easier for her once she realized that the vowels were always short pronunciation. So my advice when learning Spanish is to short the vowels when pronouncing. -
In my case I've never had designs on absorbing any territories, so I'm fine with what the consensus is.
-
I think you were only allowed one merger in the original proposal. It's either Stampede or (if peachchaos is dropping out) AWA who gets the merger this time. But at this point we might as well just reassess how to proceed with this.

I think he wants Mil for Oct. 13-15, but also thought it was Oct. 10-13, 14, 15 at first.

Barry Horowitz to WWC Tim Tall Tree to ICW

It's also helpful for knowing who to contact if you want to bring in one of the wrestlers in question. Now I know that if I wanted to ask about bringing in Mark Youngblood for some dates I should contact Mid South, not Florida.
-
Mid South is still in. With CWF passing, it's Mid South x2, then AWA x 2, Mid South x2 and so on until you both pass.
-
Up next: CWF IWF AWA AWA IWF CWF Mid South

Up next: Mid-South CWF IWF AWA

WWC is done with this draft.
-
Yes, although later for one of the tv specials they tried to retcon a card from 1982 with a Colon vs. Flair match (the one on Youtube I believe) as an anniversary show.
-
I would argue that every single group (Japan, Mexico, Europe, APICA, and Non-wrestlers) should be divided into both historical and modern groups as is done with U.S./Canada.
-
Agree that we are getting to the point were rosters may bloat too much for some territories and it's better to have a mechanism in place in case someone wants to join and there is no open territory in place. We could do something like an expansion draft. People protect X amount of wrestlers from their rosters before the draft and the new person selects from the wrestlers/personnel left unprotected. They could also pick up wrestlers available as free agents.
