  1. It doesn't seem right that Stan Lane could be inducted twice but Bockwinkel/Stevens/Patterson can't. I'm sure Meltzer's argument is that having teams made up of two HOFers on the ballot would just take up votes that would otherwise go elsewhere, which is a valid argument.
  2. Are tag teams where both members are already inducted eligible to go on the ballot now? For instance Stevens/Patterson or Bockwinkel/Stevens?
  3. WCW had done a really poor job of building singles stars during 1989 and it really showed on this event and Wrestle War preceding it. where over 2 PPVs, other than the Luger vs Flair main events, you had a grand total of 3 singles matches: Norman the Lunatic vs Cactus Jack Mark Callous vs Johnny Ace Teddy Long vs Paul Ellering
  4. Is Scott Keith to blame for the legend that the "Spin the Wheel" wheel at Halloween Havoc '92 was a shoot wheel and that's how we ended up with the coal-miners glove match?
  5. Is this going to be the swan song for you guys or are you going to be doing something else after World Cast is over?
  6. Great show as usual guys, but I think you should have used "Heaven Needed a Champion" as the outro music. (I couldn't find the original version with the woman singing so here's the legendary Glen Goza's rendition which I had never heard before today).
  7. The context for workers isn't going to be good for long if AEW keep doing the things they have been doing. The whole "wrestling as a performance art" schtick is going to absolutely die a death when it's put in front of the average Joe Sixpack watching TBS. People will see something like "the librarians" click the channel over and not come back... ever.
  8. Are there any new shows planned?
  9. Are you guys going to review the new GAB 86 shows they put up? I enjoy these shows more than the regular World Cast shows (and I really love the regular shows!)
  10. The Road Warriors music wasn't the "WrestleRock Rumble" (they weren't part of that song) it was this song from Memphis. I didn't mind the song, as far as early 80s Memphis wrestling music videos go, there were far worse. But it really doesn't work as entrance music at all.
  11. They definitely need to go back to having the short clips on Youtube again. I always thought they should have just the "Jim Cornette Talking Sense" guy on the payroll and just moved all the existing clips onto the official Cornette Youtube channel and put him in charge of editing clips off new shows and doing the amusing pictures for them.
  12. Is this the guy that Jericho mentioned in his first book?
  13. This was a great show!
  14. Keep pressing Prazak for more information because I have a feeling that something is afoot here.
  15. I think it was a simple as Brad walking to his car and Juvi not paying attention and running into him in the parking lot. The story I heard that Juvi was ribbing Armstrong by nearly running him over but actually did run him over by mistake.
  16. I'm always amazed by the fact that the AWA had ONE world title change from 1968 to 1980. Gagne held it from 68-75 and Bockwinkel from 75-80. And strangely enough the title was a total hot potato upto 1968 (Gagne's title win that year was the 24th change in 8 years).
  17. I second the appreciation for these podcasts, don't understand why they don't get more prominence on the PTBN site. At times on this one Johnny seems to be speaking in fast forward.
  18. The Midnight Rider music video is on Youtube. It's certainly Bill Watts in the footage of him driving but not Watts in the other parts.
  19. Lance Storm has apparently left the Observer/F4W site to do a podcast with Don Callis on Jericho's site.
  20. Hollywood from GLOW.
  21. Referring to a female valet that has turned heel as "that jezebel".
  22. Vince and Gorilla did Survivor Series '94 as a commentary duo. Vince & Lawler were the usual A commentary team at that time but Lawler wrestled that night.
  23. How come Keller got in a year ahead of Dave?
  24. Johnny B. Badd was a weird one because that gimmick always seemed like a WWF type gimmick which somehow worked in WCW. Then he went to the WWF without the gimmick and was worthless without it. Bam Bam Bigelow seemed out of place in late 80s/early 90s WCW. But fit in fine in the Nitro era. As mentioned Dick Slater was a terrible fit for the WWF with the gimmick he had. I never realised he'd even had a run there until Sky started showing old WWF shows in the early 2000s and he popped up. He never appeared on a PPV, never had an action figure, or even appeared on something like "if you only knew" music video which seemingly had the whole roster lined up to sing divided into heels and babyfaces. On a related note, the only way I realised that Dan Spivey had an 80s heel run in WWF was because he was in that, in the heel group. Maxx Payne/Man Mountain Rock never fit in the WWF. They gave him that stupid WWF logo guitar which was totally not his gimmick. Shane Douglas never fit in the WWF, either run. Goldberg in WWE. Steiners, or Scott Steiners solo run, Lawler seemed really out of place in the WWF when he showed up late in 1992. I never would have believed in a million years that he'd still be there almost a quarter of a decade later.
