Id pick Supertape 1 first just for the main event and the Jake/Dibiase match, I do feel wrestlefest and supertapes should get watched first.

We're off-topic but, that's kind of how the Women's Royal Rumble worked this year. Do you care that this torchbearer for the revolution who idolized Eddy is interacting with his wife? What about Lita and Sasha interacting? Do you care that the Divas of Destruction are hugging in the ring before Nattie went full Nattie? What about Asuka usurping the Yes kicks from Brie? What about the Bellas as post-diva bully gatekeepers? Etc. You can tell from Stacey's posts that there was a hell of a lot going on with that Rumble if you take the leap and immerse yourself in it. Was that true with the men's rumble? Sure, but I don't think quite as much. Maybe we take it for granted. Absolutely they take it for granted. Some of it is the amount of TV we have. Everything is far more interconnected now, but it wasn't with the women since so many we haven't seen in so long. It was very much like the Flair vs All of His Old Enemies bits of the 1992 one. You couldn't do that today because a guy like Reigns wrestles most of the roster in a given year. Are there still plenty of opportunities for next year? Even with that same exact group? Yeah. I want to see Beth Phoenix interact with Molly now that we know Molly basically put her through wrestling school. I want to see Bayley get to interact with Lita. Or have an uber-babyface off with Molly. I want to see Torrie and Kelly Kelly interact because that would be bonkers. Etc and so on. For me the womens Rumble came off alot better than the mens one.

Im deffinately buying just for the exclusive stuff. Yeah the show wasent great but still be a cool thing to own. Do you buy every wwe dvd? No I don't. The only DVDs I have bought are the Hogan sets, Cena sets, Austin set, the Rise and fall of ECW, the unreleased Attitude era set and the unreleased 87-96 set.

Im glad the network finally has the Hogan/Beefcake/Savage/Zeus cage match because I so wanted to see that match when the TV promoted it but couldnt see it until Supertape came out.
-
That was probably the worst thing in the Rumble, anyone else than her would have been better.

The one thing I love about AJW from the 90s is that its a what if scenario so you can see all the girls from the WWE PPV wrestling regulary there. I do wish they had kept them in a better role, alough I wasent all that sold on Blayze dropping the belt to Kong at the Rumble then likely regaining it back at Mania.

Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman. And I am the advocate for the reigning, defending, undisputed, WWE RAW Woman's Champion, RONDA! ROUSEY! Rinse and repeat at the four big ppvs, destroying all your top full timers as you go, go back to MMA after your year's contract is up, except your Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing induction, and bathe in the millions WWE paid you while Vince tries to make his battered Woman's division look good again after you made everyone look weak.
-
I dont know why he fired them for. At Survivor Series 95 he should have kept all those japanese girls who knew how to wrestle. I appreciate AJW seeing them wrestle on there.

Im the same I skipped that segment he was on Raw. Is Steph a face now as havent watched WWE for months and last time I rember she was in the authority. Still a heel role. Just trying too hard to be what her husband is with NXT with the womens division. And failing badly. She's doing commentary on the women's royal rumble for some reason. Why ? You'd swear that Steph is the only reason the women are even doing anything in WWE now. It's ridiculous WWE narrative. So not as good as vince was in the mid 90s then.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
iamthedoctor replied to TravJ1979's topic in Pro Wrestling
Yeah, I did. Guess they got a Royal Rumble match before the women, even though it wasn't at the Royal Rumble. Suprised they didnt get Dink or Mascaratas in that Rumble. -
I remember the ECW show Rey did. He got a huge pop but when he went for 619 they booed.

World Tour 1992 (WF106) 10/03/91 The Mountie vs. Kerry Von Erich 04/19/92 The British Bulldog vs. Irwin R. Schsyter 10/05/91 The British Bulldog vs. Earthquake 10/05/91 Roddy Piper vs. The Barbarian 04/14/92 Battle Royal 04/19/92 Bret Hart vs. Rick Martel 04/14/92 Randy Savage vs. Shawn Michaels So you are right about that. I can find no evidence of a Beverly Brothers vs High Energy match on a CHV. Upon researching they had a match in June taped for Prime Time Wrestling, but that's not listed as being on any CHV. When I was a kid, this was one of the only VHS wrestling tapes that I actually owned. The Savage/Michaels match is pretty good, with Savage still selling the leg from when Flair worked it over. The Mountie/Tornado match is the drizzling shits though. Lucky the only I owned, not rented, was High Flyers. 05/10/88 Randy Savage vs. Virgil 03/12/88 The Jumping Bomb Angels vs. The Glamour Girls 07/09/88 The Rockers vs. The Conquistadors 05/09/87 Paul Roma & Jim Powers vs. The Shadows 01/04/89 Blue Blazer & Koko B. Ware vs. Danny Davis & Jose Estrada Actually, the JBA vs GG match ruled, the rest is odd. Although a future High Energy in retrospect. Yeah Savage wins, Dibiase hits the ring, runs at Savage and they cut to the next match.

Lets be greatful Vince booked Rey to win the Rumble in tribute to Eddie. Could have been worse they could have just given it to Triple H.
-
Rey vs ____ is a match that I want. There just isn't anyone in the current roster that he couldn't have at least a solid match with. INCLUDING useless garbage like Bray Wyatt. If Hardy doesn't go over Bray in their singles match then it just seemed no point doing Hardy's TNA gimmick of being Broken. Twice now Bray has beaten him, once on Raw and eliminating him in the Rumble.

Randy Savage Unreleased: The Unseen Matches of the Macho Man May 28 2018!

The last time I watched world class was when Lifestyle TV channel aired old episodes in 1991.
-
That's like 45 tapes.. not even close to all of them. I hope they continue to add them all. I know I will watch each and every one even if it' one I don't care about, just to make sure it gets some views. Best of the wwf series is a must.
-
I cant fault either Rumbles they were great made it even better someone deserving like Nakamura won it.
-
You could save your time and not watch it, seems too obvious Bliss/Strowman will win it.
-
In reality it is as well. I showed a buddy last year a clip of a show on youtube. The guy laughed and was really embarrassed as he haden't seen it before but typical the clip I find is Lawler/King commentating and the team names were obviously wrestling related. That and having Vince and Rock cutting promos.
-
The problem with current Rumbles just seems a bit iffy so they aren't memorable a decade later.
-
Womens match could be the first match.
-
What about the 1997 Rumble? No one thought Jerry Lawler would be in it yet he commentated all night. I really hope she doesn't get entered but you see commentators who get a entry number so it could happen.
