I've heard alot of people praised the PPV but in turn shit on the Main Event because of who went over and who got eliminated early.

If Hogan stuck around, the Lex Express does not happen. Lex got his push as a hero after the relative failure of the Hogan comeback. Who wrestles Yokozuna? Obviously Hogan/Gonzalez is happening and Bret was programmed to battle Lawler in early June time.

There were a few Bret/Shawn matches there also, I think they came from CHV, the cage match seems the same as the Home release as Shawn's entrance is cut.

That is pretty decent quality compared to the one on the documentary. I bet MikeNice must be fuming, thats if he actually ever owned it.

Is there any truth to the rumour that Hogan actually slammed Yokozuna at a House Show in 93? I remember reading about a fan who attended the show claimed this happened but is unsure if any footage exists. Reading about Hogan's run in 93 and how they were building Gonzalez as they wanted him strong after Mania often wondered why they never wrestled at Summerslam. With the Hogan/Yokozuna tour coming to a end seeing Hogan slam the Giant would have been a great way to end his run or didn't Vince want anything overshadowing Lex Luger's push?

Watched Survivor Series 1992 last night and a bit of Prime Time Wrestling from 92 and this guy who played Santa following Bret's match I think must have also been the same guy who returned a year to celebrate with Luger and unveil Dink. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3jg7ab Any ideas who the guy was?

Over the years it's been a shame how the matches have gone. Id prefer it if every match on the PPV was a survivor series rules match back how it used to be.

I'm kind of sick of everything good being saved for Mania, especially if Mania is going to be a bloated show that's not fun to sit through like the last two years. I like them doing fun stuff during football season. Well I wasen't all that impressed with Wyatt/Orton! It was the piss break match for me. Never really see why people like Bray, Alberto, Miz have been WWE Champion when guys like Piper, Jake, Rude, Perfect never got that chance to run with the belt.

Which makes no sense, I mean back then Vince always had a hard on about HBK so why not let Randy end his wrestling days in a feud with Michaels? In all likely hood Randy probably then would have happily stayed retired as Commentator for years to come.

If you've never seen it, check out his USWA Texas stuff from 1990. He was on Screensport in the UK in the 1990s when they aired episodes of Texas, I have a vague memory of him trying to blind a wrestler with hair cream with Jack Victory.

Been watching this on youtube Never thought they would mention WWF on WCW TV in 1992. A fan asks Rick why he left WWF as he said about not recieving any WWF Title shots. I do remember one match against Warrior at Summerslam for the title but do you reckon if Rick had stayed in WWF if he would have eventually got a title run? Been going across his career where he battled Jake for most of 88, then onto a feud with Warrior throughout 89 where he held the IC belt and then onto a program with Roddy Piper. His match with Snuka at Mania was a odd one because there was no buildup to the match, having a Piper/Rude match instead to end the feud probably would have been the best choice before he moved onto the Warrior in 1990. Shortly after that was done it seemed the Bossman feud was the last we saw of Rick exiting WWF half way through the program, he said he wanted to quit but I thought he got fired because of the steroids thing. Either way do you reckon he would have moved onto another IC title run in 91 beating either Bret or Perfect or would he eventually 92/93 ended up winning the WWF title from say Flair/Bret or Savage?

If Vince had given Randy what he wanted, a long feud with Shawn where they wrestled at 2 Wrestlemania's do you reckon Randy would have retired happy to do commentary? Or would he have jumped to WCW anyway?

Was anything planned for The Warrior at Mania? I'd imagine before he got fired in 91 that Vince probably had something lined up for him.

While on the subject of Mania 8 where do you reckon the original card would have gone? Obviously we all know Hogan/Flair was headlining Mania but what about the undercard? No idea how far they do things in advance but seems likely how the buildup after Summerslam it seems Jake would have feuded with Savage at Mania instead of ending it at SNME. So who does Sid face? Is it likely he would have battled Taker at the big show but what if Warrior doesn't get fired at Summerslam? Where would he have gone as I could see Warrior facing Jake or Taker at Mania after the big betrayal they did weeks before Summerslam so a big match has to happen somewhere. I think Natural Disasters vs LOD was planned and New Foundation to tag with Bossman & Virgil vs Nasty's, Mountie & Repo, I know they had graphics up for Bulldog vs Berzerker. Probably wouldn't suprise me if they wanted to do Jannetty/Michaels at the PPV had he not gotten fired, sure everyone talks about the match at Mania 9 but guessing had he still been in WWF in March 92 then Tito wouldn't have gotten the spot.

Obviously WWE wanted Angle to go over in his big return to the ring but I'm guessing had Roman not been sick The Shield would have lost?

Whats the beef between Nash and Tunney? Been watching a shoot interview where Nash claims he hated Jack Tunney when they went to Canada.

Yeah thats obviously been the case but then again why do the match at Survivor Series. They really should have had Shamrock win the title instead. He was well over by this point. Ive read about Bret having two different choice and him choosing the easiest option which is a shame as Id love to have seen Mankind vs Bret in a proper feud. I don't really see why Mania 8 plans had to go this way, Im sure they wanted Sid to be the next Hogan and after what happened at the 1991 Summerslam with Sid getting the rub of being Hogan's buddy I think a injury angle to Hogan would have worked out better with Sid wanting to avenge his friend by tearing through the Rumble months later and facing Hogan's attacker at Mania. That way you could build to the big Hogan return where the eventual match between Sid/Hogan happens at Summerslam 92.

I would have saved his in ring return for a Wrestlemania or Summerslam PPV not a C PPV show like TLC.

I know there are handhelds on YouTube of some Cage Matches between the pair from early 1992, not sure if any were ever pro shot however. If WWE had their own team who did the magazine with some excellent photos does that guarantee that they were also filmed as I believe some took place at TV tapings. I know a Warrior/Slaughter one did and recall the mag mentioned 2 Piper/Flair ones.

How do people rate Piper's matches with Flair in 91/92? It's something I had wanted to see with the buildup on TV with the Survivor Series match, Rumble confrontation & the tag match on CHV, I know they did a match at MSG but can't remember if it was any good. I have a Cage match book where it showed pics of matches between the two in a steel cage so wondered maybe WWE filmed it. Years later I read about the two having matches against each other in NWA, no idea how much is out there but I recall watching one of their matches and the promo.

Currently watching the best wedding story WWE has ever done Macho/Liz. That moment was so great on TV.

If it was me personally booking WWE id have AJ Styles take the belt and work towards a Wrestlemania match with Styles vs Nakamura! I loved their match at Wrestle Kingdom and would love to see it happen at a Wrestlemania.
