I think the last time an "era" really ended was what, Cena winning the US title? It signalled the end of Cena's run as the ace and shifted him to the midcard. Since then, it's basically been the same era. Hell, even the "PG Era" and "Reality Era" were basically the same. I totally understand the frustration about naming every 5-year period an era. It's basically working backwards: we decide that a certain time period will be a new era, and then find reasons to justify it, as well as to name the actual era. For me, eras should be called such only if it represents a complete break from the past. "Rock and Wrestling Era", "Attitude Era" and "Uber-corporate PG Era" are the only three proper WWF/WWE eras I can think of using that definition

Seriously though, this was an excellent Dynamite episode. Much better than the last two weeks, even the last 3-4 weeks. It helped that all the stupid stuff was done with in the first 30 minutes

They showed us HOOK's back but they did not show us HOOK's face. Unforgivable. Coach Tony K will burn in hell

This stock increase is, as sek mentioned, the dollar store version of Gamestop. I don't want to call it artificial because ultimately the entire stock market game is artificial, but it's not the usual indication of confidence that a stock price increase typically means. Dunno if Wall Street will crack on this one like it did with Gamestop, but I don't imagine they would be thrilled about this. No idea how this makes Vince feel though

Personally, anyone who has a good chance of being in serious consideration for a vote in 2026 can and should be nominated. In Deeb's case, as someone praising her on a limited sampling, the thought process is simple. Serena has a 15-year career and looks set to have another great 5 years. The recent matches provide an excellent glimpse at her strengths, which are good enough to make her eligible for a vote. So these matches, and the strengths she displays, becomes a gateway, or a prism of sorts, to check out her long career, and decide her merits and demerits on the basis of available footage. If it turns out that she was merely good for 15 years and only flashes of greatness, then she doesn't make the list. But the discussion to reach that conclusion would be worthwhile. And as we keep saying in GWE's context, the process, the journey is more valuable than the destination.

Shingo is my favourite NJPW guy to watch these days, so ecstatic about the result. I had hoped for it, but given Gedo's history of not pulling the trigger on new guys until 2 years too late, I was very circumspect about it. Really happy to be proven wrong

Haha I was definitely not expecting this. Certainly massive news: IIRC, TNA managed to survive through its absolute worst years due to money coming from TV deals from the UK and India. Given how much money WWE makes from the Indian market, this is a big breakthrough for AEW. It's happening entirely due to me of course. @mookeighana let Coach Tony K know that he has found AEW's answer to Nick Khan right here at PWO. I will also graciously charge less than the $1.3 million p/a that Nick Khan is charging

I have a hard time believing that this was him trying to make the best of an imposed shitty gimmick.
