Battle of the Tough Guys: No Holds Barred II - Austin Aries vs. Low-Ki
Alucard replied to C.S.'s topic in Pro Wrestling
Off the top of my head, I would say Aries had a ton of great matches: The Samoa Joe ROH title change in 04. All of his TNA PPV matches from at least Feb-Aug 2012 (vs. Alex Shelley, Bully Ray, Samoa Joe, and Bobby Roode x2) all different, varied matches and great. all 3 WWE PPV matches with Neville And his last IMPACT run matches against Moose, Fallah Bahh, and Johnny Impact. -
Right I think they are airing these 6 and then cutting the season in half with the other ones coming later in the year.

Austin Aries: The Adventures of an Arrogant Asshole
Alucard replied to KawadaSmile's topic in Pro Wrestling
Agreed. His 2011-2012 Impact run is one of my favorites ever. Coming in as the cocky heel winning the X title, slowly having the fans turn him face due to his work, and capturing the world title in an all time great moment/match. The 2018 run almost equally as great. Was giving me ECW Franchise vibes at the time, wished it could've lasted longer. -
Rosa/Kamille happened at the recent PPV. I thought it was really good. Another standout thunder Rosa performance and Kamille looked her best yet being in there with her and going longer than usual.

RAW only from 2008 on, SD from 2019 on.

I thought the Batista/Khali feud was a blast and produced some fun Khali matches. Cool for him and Kane. Sabu said in an interview that RVD is supposed to be added to this class.

Meltzer mentioned last month that Cody had been studying the Bruno/Larry angle and guessed that was the outlined idea with QT, originally with QT/Lee Johnson I think.
-
Agreed. In honor of Jim Crockett Jr's recent passing, Crockett Cup!

Correct! IRS, Martel, Jarrett & The Headshrinkers vs. 123 Kid, Bob Holly, Tatanka, & the Smoking Gunns

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Alucard replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
It's a working relationship that allows for some talent swap. Gallows & Anderson get to work AEW with Kenny while being signed to Impact where they will also be able to work New Japan if/when regular travel is an option again. It's also most likely going to allow for Kenny Omega to win the Impact championship to add to his "belt collector" gimmick to go along with the AEW and AAA titles. Tony has pushed an openness to working relationships with anyone which has so far included AAA, NWA, Impact, and seemingly somewhat of a beginning with NJPW. so while AEW gets to use Gallows & Anderson, Impact briefly had Private Party w/ Matt Hardy come in and work a few matches. There were plans for Sammy Guevara to work Impact but that fell through. I believe in the future there will be some crossover with the women as well. -
unfortunately, the Network won't have the classic TV/PPV library when it moves to Peacock until August.

They added Chris Masters ! to the show
-
He did a few more after that. Beat Andrade & Garza in a handicap match then teamed with the Viking Raiders in a loss to Andrade, Garza, & Orton. His last was then (technically "unsanctioned") against Orton on Raw in July.

I love that their comeback PPV is titled "Back For the Attack" - another Dokken title

Agreed, huge fan of that run. Her 2017 series with Sasha is excellent and she was a great chickenshit heel in her first match with Asuka in 2018 and the second match with Rousey. -
PWInsider mentioned there will also be a Chris Kanyon episode

Where does this come from? Bryan lost a ton of matches in that timeframe on every show and was usually on the losing end of the one half of a team works singles matches in Team Hell No feuds, in addition to a handful of Team Hell No losses in non title matches. Looking it up, from just singles matches following the Punk 2012 feud... and not including DQ/Countouts. 7/30/12 RAW: Loss to Sheamus (street fight) 8/6/12 RAW: Loss to Cena 8/17/12 SD: Loss to Orton 9/14/12 SD: Loss to Sheamus 9/21/12 SD: Loss to Cody Rhodes 10/12/12 SD: Loss to Alberto del Rio 10/15/12 RAW: Loss to Big Show 10/22/12 RAW: Loss to Dolph Ziggler 10/26/12 SD: Loss to Damien Sandow 11/5/12 RAW: Loss to Cody Rhodes 11/26/12 RAW: Loss to Rey Mysterio 12/7/12 SD: Loss to Big Show 2/6/13 Main Event: Loss to Damien Sandow 2/11/13 RAW: Loss to Chris Jericho 2/18/13:RAW: Loss to Jack Swagger 3/11/13 RAW: Loss to Dolph Ziggler 3/23/13 Saturday Morning Slam: Loss to Mark Henry 4/1/13: RAW: Loss to Dolph Ziggler 4/8/13 RAW: Loss to Big E 4/30/13 RAW: Loss to Ryback then the tag title loss in May.

Madison had a couple matches when she first came back in 2018 with Tessa and Taya that were great stuff. Her 2011 feud with Mickie James had a couple real good matches and an excellent promo building it up that stood out. I will miss Josh Mathews as the voice of Impact. He'd been there for so many years now with so many different partners but I always enjoyed his work.

The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
Alucard replied to The Thread Killer's topic in Pro Wrestling
Love the recaps, great job on the Bischoff one. Looking forward to any thing we get... I'll send votes to the Plane Ride, War Games, all the fires backs.... and Sting, RVD/Lynn, Bret all sound like unique fun listens. -
Co-signed. The greatest pop of all time IMO. Insanely loud and sustained for the rest of the segment.
