  1. Alex Hammerstone debuts at Hard to Kill vs Josh Alexander, nice match!
  2. Should the Rock sit in a booth?? at the bar??? Or at the Head of the Table!?!?!?!??!!? It's happening~!!!!!!!!
  3. Apparently Ohbari has stepped down and Hiroshi Tanahashi has been appointed the new President of NJPW. "After a meeting of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's board of directors and shareholders today, December 23, 2023, the following personnel change has been made in Company management. Reason for personnel change: Alterations to management structure Newly appointed officials: President & Representative Director: Hiroshi Tanahashi Director: Hitoshi Matsumoto (Chief of Business Production, TV Asahi) Director: Taro Okada (President & CEO, Bushiroad Fight) *Mr. Okada's position is on a part time basis Effective December 23, Takami Ohbari and Michiaki Nishizawa will step down from their positions as President/Representative Director and Director respectively." There will be a press conference on December 26, and Tanahashi will address the fans directly in his new role as President at Wrestle Kingdom.
  4. It would also be a nice little callback to Garcia having Brody's number since he won their last singles match back in March.
  5. I got Garcia beating Brody to stop him from advancing, Bryan/Claudio go to a draw, putting Bryan in the semis at 10, and Kingston beating Andrade to tie him at 9 and thus advancing via tiebreaker of their singles match.
  6. Scott D'Amore on Hard to Kill: "We're going to have surprises for you, some unexpected things, including, we are right there at the goal line of finalizing one of, I think, one of the biggest signings in TNA. I think it's something that is really going to shake things up on January 13. If you've been saying, "I'm looking for something different", we're giving you a lot. Someone we have in store for you that night is going to blow your socks off." TNA is now advertising this as "Worlds will collide on January 13th and you won't believe who is showing up"
  7. Two Women's Matches tonight! Abadon vs Jazmin Allure plus the return of Thunder Rosa, and an insane deathmatch tag with Willow & Statlander vs. Mercedes Martinez & Diamante going through glass, tables, and thumbtacks.
  8. Thought Final Battle was a really great show all the way through. Crowd was on fire for the Survival of the Fittest closing stretch. Fight without Honor was a real war. Main event was amazing, really thought Billie would pull it off. Also thought Ethan Page and Tony Nese went way above and delivered a great feud blowoff.
  9. Zero Hour beginning now with a last minute add: Taya Valkyrie vs. TX local Jazmin Allure
  10. Made it to two! Random but Nyla Rose vs. Vertvixen has been added to Final Battle. Agreed @ Leyla/Rachael/Renegades being weekly highlights.
  11. Final card for Final Battle, looks pretty strong overall Women's Title: Athena(c) vs. Billie Starkz Pure Title: Wheeler Yuta(c) vs. Tom Lawlor Trios Titles: Mogul Embassy(c) vs. TMDK AAA Title: El Hijo del Vikingo(c) vs. Black Taurus Survival of the Fittest ROH TV Title Match: Dalton Castle vs. Komander vs. Lee Moriarty vs. Lee Johnson vs. Kyle Fletcher vs. ??? Fight Without Honor: Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio/Bryan/Moxley) vs. Mark Briscoe & FTR I Quit Match: Ethan Page vs. Tony Nese Shane Taylor vs. Keith Lee Preshow: The Outrunners vs. The Von Erichs
  12. This is what I thought and had me confused, because I'm pretty sure Excalibur said last night that Rush was "mathematically eliminated" via White beating Mark but he could still land that 3 way tie, not that I think he will but still. Agreed with the idea of Moxley/White going to a draw allowing Swerve to beat Rush to slip back in to the semis for a rematch with Mox. Surprised they stayed away from any draws this long.
  13. KUSHIDA has signed a contract with TNA and will continue to work NJPW.
  14. Reminds me of when Undertaker won the Rumble in 07 and had the option of choosing to challenge ECW Champ Bobby Lashley alongside Batista or Cena.
  15. This was the first time in years that they just turned SD into Tribute to the Troops and actually the first ever Live one. The last three were just random taped one hour shows thrown on FOX in the middle of Sunday afternoons.
  16. they announced Ospreay vs Josh Alexander II while Okada will team with Shelley & Sabin against Moose, Eddie Edwards, & Brian Myers at next months' tapings
  17. Blackpool Combat Club vs. FTR & Mark Briscoe added to Final Battle. Athena vs. Billie Starkz confirmed as the main event
  18. I was rooting for Archer & Alex Zayne to make the finals.
  19. the best part of the podcast is Rock talking about how he considered going to PRIDE FC in 1997 to make more money and based on how his career was going at the time, talking to Shamrock and Mark Kerr about it, until Vince called about turning him heel. He's previously claimed to consider a UFC run in 2007.
  20. from tonight's episode
  21. During a Flair/Sting in ring promo taped for tomorrow's Rampage, Flair apparently had a line about inviting all the women to his hotel room that people expect to be edited out. Flair posted an apology, telling Tony that if he embarrasses the company, he'll walk away.
  22. they ran Creeds/DIY on Raw a couple weeks before as well.
  23. From what Rock said in that interview, "What can we create for the fans that has never been done before in a match? But the bigger thought was, what can we do for the fans in this business that we love where WrestleMania isn't the end of something, it's actually the beginning of something bigger? So we got really really close but we couldn't actually nail what that thing was. So we decided to put our pencils down and then we agreed, hey, listen, there's a merger coming up. Eventually that will happen. There's WrestleMania in Philadelphia...that's a potential too, so I'm open."
