  1. Got a laugh out of this paragraph, my fav part of the interview:

    Jaaawn Cena

Moves. Any time I've seen the Cena vs Punk argument, moves is always a major topic. No matter how many Cena actually does or adds to his moveset, it's always brought up. Cena haters are stuck on the "5 moves" thing and will never stray from it. Some still insist Punk "carried" Cena in their matches.
  3. Really enjoyed those 3 Survivor Series matches. Loved the 04 one with the winners being GM.. Maven was awesome booking himself in a world title match. Maven/HHH was always a great underdog vs champion pairing.
  4. Thought the same. However it hasn't earned her friends. Rhaka Khan replied and went biblical while Reby Sky essentially called her a hard up drug addict. Links? Quotes? Reby: "Not aware of this, if it is true. Doesn’t make much sense, as I don’t know her on a really personal level & we have been nothing but nice to each other in passing at shows. We’ve actually texted back & forth a few times, so if she now has a problem with me, I can only attribute it to one thing/person. Fake as f**k to be nice to my face & talk s**t to a camera if its true, but no shocker there. That’s 99% of the women in this business anyway. Next. Broke wrestlers doing ‘shoot’ interviews for a couple hundred bucks to support their drug habits can KEEP mentioning me. Everyone knows I’m in an AMAZING committed relationship & love a good name drop :)" Then when asked if she's suggesting Kharma is a drug addict "And for the record, yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying, and for damn good reason. No use in continuing to play nice or protect anyone who is sweet to my face & a c**t to me & my close friends behind my back. "
  5. I miss when they used to do the music video versions. The Michaels/Flair "It's Not My Time" MV from WM24 was my all time favorite. 25 had some good ones too. Unfortunately since about 26 it's all been about 'that one match'. 26 being Taker/Michaels, WM 27 being Taker/HHH which did feature Taker's music video entrance to Katy Perry's "ET" that I thought was awesome.. loved it. But yeah this year and last year were just Cena/Rock build & match. I guess the closest they came is having "All We Have" play after Cena's victory, they did something similar with 26 and Taker/Michaels adding in some of HBK's farewell.
  6. Angle says he's immediately entering rehab so he might not be main eventing for now at least. I guess this will take him out of the MEM vs Aces & Eights match they set up.. unless they use it to write him off.
  7. Probably the best match of the show IMO. Kind of a shorter version of their grand main event match from vol 35 back in 2010 (my all time favorite Shimmer match, and one of their best top to bottom shows). Eagles is indeed one of the very best, her run on top was Shimmer's peak for me. Great wrestler, character, and promo.
  8. I always enjoyed that match as a crazy old guys blood brawl, thought it was at least fun in that sense aside from the awkward finish.

Yeah now the RVD/Holly matches especially the back slicer one was awesome stuff. I didn't care for Lashley in ECW but always loved Holly and dug Test too. There was also that super fun extreme rules tag early into the ECW on Syfy run with Dreamer/Sandman vs Test/Knox.
  10. Yep they aired a return graphic on SD saying he would return this Monday. He may not be ready to return from a knee injury yet.

Lashley's best stuff outside the Cena match was in early 2006. I remember really liking Lashley/JBL from No Way Out 2006 which if I remember right was Lashley's first loss, then he went on to have a very fun feud with Finlay. I think there was one Lashley/Booker match (out of the ton they had) around May 06 that stood out as being much better than their other matches. But yeah once he went to ECW it was all downhill and he was just really not interesting and forced as champion. The only Lashley/Holly match I recall was when they tried to put Holly over as a threat/big test and had Lashley squash him in under 5 mins... that sucked.

Their last one where Punk wins the title on 9/1 is one of my all time favorites.. really perfect blowoff with a red hot crowd making everything feel like a real special moment.
  13. Agreed, great look & a killer theme. Had some good matches around that period too, would've loved to have seen him last a little bit longer into the 2010/2011 era of 15 minute Superstars matches.
  14. Story originated as an infamous "wrestlezone exclusive" @DaveBautista "Holy shit!! Im in negotiations with HHH to go back to the WWE! Apparently Im asking for a short term contract! I hope I asked for big money! Please let me know when Im going back! And what I said to HHH. Id like to know. I feel left out! #rumors Not that it wouldn't be nice...just don't want anyone to buy into bullshit rumors. I haven't talked to Hunter. And Im tied down for awhile"
  15. I always thought Michelle McCool was good too, ended up getting very good. My pick as personal favorite diva in the ring will always be Candice Michelle.
  16. I loved that Orton won. Thought the match was completely unpredictable and glad it stayed that way all the way through. Figured Bryan had it for sure before Axel showed up.
  17. Also thought they were a very good team. Really liked a PPV match they had against Abyss & Sting
  18. Piper/Bret from Mania 8 is my favorite match of his. I enjoyed babyface Piper in WWF.

    Current WWE

Yeah that was a three on one handicap match

Triple H never did beat Goldberg one on one - only in the Elimination Chamber and in a triple threat match. Goldberg won all their 1 on 1 matches (Unforgiven, Survivor Series, and a DQ on Raw) I think he remained fairly protected in WWE for the year he was there.
  21. hell yeah man, i LOVED deuce and domino. my dream wwe booking scenario is for them to return and have a lengthy honky tonk man-esque run with the tag titles, hamming it up with their gimmick like never before. Absolutely. Hated how quick they got broken up.. great gimmick and unforgettably great theme music that I still love.
  22. I am more than open to suggestions. I've watched a couple of Joshi matches this year, but nothing I saw was particularly good. I know Athena has a buzz around her here in the states. What/who should I be looking for? I haven't watched many 2013 matches to be honest (I've mostly been watching 70s, 80s and 90s wrestling lately), but there's an Athena vs. Ayako Hamada match from April 6 (SHIMMER Vol. 53 iPPV at Wrestlecon) that was good. Athena is definitely a worker to look out for. Arguably the best American female worker right now. Also, I think Ivelisse Velez has been quite impressive from what I've seen (she's a regular for the SHINE promotion based out of Florida). Even though I'm a joshi puroresu fan, I have to admit that 2013 hasn't produced too many good joshi puroresu matches (plenty of decent stuff, but nothing really good). As far as 2013, these are the matches I enjoyed the most from SHINE: Ivelisse Velez vs Su Yung (Shine 6, 1/11/13) Brittney Savage vs Heidi Lovelace (Shine 7, 2/22/13) Santana Garrett vs Jessie Belle (Shine 7, 2/22/13) Ivelisse Velez vs LuFisto (Shine 7, 2/22/13) Allysin Kay/April Hunter/Taylor Made vs Mia Yim/Su Yung/Tracy Taylor (Shine 7, 2/22/13) Mercedes Martinez vs Nikki Roxx (Shine 7, 2/22/13) Nikki St. John vs Luscious Latasha (Shine 8, 3/23/13) Brittney Savage vs Su Yung (Shine 8, 3/23/13) Angelina Love vs Rain (Shine 9, 4/19/13) Ivelisse Velez vs Jazz (Shine 9, 4/19/13) Kimberly vs Santana Garrett (Shine 10, 5/21/13) Heidi Lovelace/Luscious Latasha/Solo Darling vs. Jessie Belle/Sassy Stephie/Sojo Bolt (Shine 10, 5/21/13) I'd definitely recommend any Ivelisse Velez, she is fantastic. In general, I'd still rate Gail Kim vs Taryn Terrell from TNA Slammiversary as my favorite women's match this year. Edit: the latest Shine show (7/13/13) featured 3 more Ivelisse matches where she continues to deliver the goods.
  23. Ha, I could never remember or find when exactly this was before but it always stuck with me as one of the more infamous "we're out of time we gotta go" moments in WCW.
  24. Glad to see this back! Always entertaining reviews
  25. I was always curious about the Rene Dupree shoot, looked pretty interesting from the previews.
