  1. That would be amazing.
  2. At the time, it was just "The Wrestling Observer." This was the original format on legal size paper with xeroxed photos and articles and whatnot. To fll out subscriptions and streamline communication with tape traders (the original reason for the WON), he started doing the "Wrestling Observer Newsletter" and...yeah. Weird to think it started off as a tape trading newsletter of sorts, but I can see the natural progression I guess.
  3. Will listen to the Samoa Joe one tonight, could be interesting I guess.
  4. Nah, that was WWF Attitude out a couple of years later. The game was too far into development to remove him, so he was included with a tribute o him at the start of the game.
  5. Pretty much every time Cena faces someone bigger than him it's built up as "can he beat the odds and defeat this massive beast", and his mantra of never giving up is a staple of his t-shirt line. But isn't that the role of any babyface facing a monster? No trying to nit pick, just saying.
  6. I love looking at Monday Night War WCW crowds. It's like by looking at some of them, they have no idea what wrestling is. They look like toothless, hillbilly scum waving their beer in the air... but then you think to buy a front row seat they must love the product. Somethign tells me this breed of cat isn't watching PWG these days.
  7. I'm curently working my way through the WWE 3 disc set as it goes, there is a lot of good stuff i nthere, but it only scratches the surface really. he should have another 3 set released with a lot more rare material. I live in hope that the 94 Bret Hart matches were filmed properly and not just existing through fan cam...
  8. I liked him growing up, he was fun. 1992 was a stand out period for me, I wish he wrestled more. He should of had a match at Summerslam with Shawn Michaels that year to really get Shawn ready to main event the next PPV.
  9. It gets better once you get older and realise it wasn't a gimmick...
  10. Surely it has to happen one week where one of the "nerd" plants just turns around and punches him in the face full pelt. It would be better than the 123 Kid pinning Razor...

    Current WWE

I'm surprised so many people think this will last until Wrestlemania for a big payoff. With the exception of the Rock / Cena stuff fro mthe last couple of years, it's been impossible to forecast Wrestlemania in the Summer. If you look back over the last ten years, not a lot has been very typical of the summer events. As a huge DB fan, I hope I'm wrong though, I'd love to see him get a huge moment o nthe big show with a lot of build.
  12. Jerry Brisco, for whatever reason, has always struck me as a massive bell.
  13. I agree it was odd, but for the record, he hadn't been strictly retired for years. Sadly, he did die a couple after WCW though from cancer.
  14. Flair was to the consortium as Bischoff was to Fusient Media Ventures. "THE CONSORTIUM WAS ME!" was Flair blowing the line, I think."" I don't think it was meant to be taken litterally. Its like RVD saying his the Whole Fucking Show... in business speak...
  15. I don't see the Bryan / Cena link personally. Bryan has been playing a plucky underdog who believes he can get the job done. I don't remember the same dynamic for Cena in any situation.
  16. I can't see the Mania title picture being in stone at this point, at all.
  17. He should have won the title from Flair at Survivor Series 92, that's the only thing I'd of changed. I liked the Yoko feud going into Mania. I'd of liked to see Bret vs Warrior at RR for histories sake also, as Bret had suggested in his book.
  18. I odn't like seeing peole unemployed... but I kinda wish he would just go. I have done for a long time.
  19. I'm watching a load of old RF shoot interviews from the 90's. They look dog shit and the questioning is shit, but when the wrestlers get on a roll with their stories, they're brilliant.
  20. I'd like to know this too.
  21. Somebody mentioned WCW World Tour above -that game was a revelation at the time. No wrestling game had ever had such depth before and it was pretty fucking special for that reason. At the same time, WarZone came along which also ticked the boxes as being something special, but again, the roster was somewhat out dated by the time of release. I imagie some kid picking it up and being like, "WHo the hell are Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart?"
  22. Dreamcast had the awful Royal Rumble game, which was fun for about 2 minutes. It looked good at the time (graphics and whatnot) bu the roster was out of date by the time of release, it was an arcade based game, and was.... shit.
  23. Watched it the other day. Flair was embarrassing on that. "Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel..."
