Edge & Christian, Hardy Boys and Dudley Boyz did a fantastic job of making tag team wrestling interesting early last decade with great characters and great matches that will stand the test of time. British Bulldogs were my #1 team growing up mostly watching wrestling on tapes. The original Hart Foundation were fantastic as well.

I actually found that above trailer nauseating. Like it actually made me feel sea sick listening to random heads and stupid colours praise anonymous people for God know howl ong, I had to switch off after a minute.

And short man's syndrome Rovert. Low Ki being removed by CZW security makes me giggle every time I think about it.

ECW 1996 had a great roster, produced great matches and feuds, had lively crowds. It peaked in 1996.

But the TLC3 match with Benoit was released on the Best of Smackdown DVD in 2009 which included Benoit, and was rated quite highly in the countdown. Even showed him entering the ring on a solo shot. With Jericho and Benoit being interlinked, I strongly agree. For years the two went hand in hand for me. In 2000 they produced some classic stuff, mainly an absolute belter at Backlash 2000, and a great match at Judgement Day 2000. Although I was super let down by the 2/3 falls match at SummerSlam.

That mentality drives me nuts as well. Not everything is a home run and some soups take longer to boil than others. Daniel Bryan is the best thing in the WWE for my money right now, absolutely world class.

To the above point, I think nagging injuries was why Ted Dibiase moved down the card in 1991. He couldn't compete to the standard he once did. The saddest memory of mine is him basically being treated like a job guy at Rumble 92 in the Rumble match himself. Being put in Money INC was the best thing for him and allowed him to have one last run in a very solid position on the card. When he left WWE in 1993 and did a tour of AJPW with Steve Williams (tags), I believe it was cut short due to injuries again, and he was allowed to fly home on full pay as a token of respect. DiBiase was brilliant in his prime and I have a lot of time for his matches / promos.

The only other time I recall RVD having his hair out (well, forced out) was with a match with Jerry Lynn in ECW. He has basically had the same hair style since 1996 at this point.

I've been watching a fair bit of early Bret Hart recently. A match with Steamboat at the Boston Garden is superb, I'm confident that if it happened on PPV it would be a match far more spoken about and put in a league of Bret's best work. Some of those early Stampede matches with Dynamite were fucking brutal also. Such a shame we never got to see a more rounded Hitman go against Dynamite.

Pretty sure he did it in a match with Tajiri once the first ONS event was announced in 05, and you'd see the "ECW" matches on Raw and Smackdown which were just really generic "hardcore" matches with trash can lids etc. EDIT: Yeah the above is accurate.

I rate RVD highly. He is a star and is capable of seperating himself from the pack. I have no doubt he will make no changes to his act upon his wwe return, but it will get over with the new audience members.Recent performances have shown him in great shape, and he is bound to be over like rover at MITB. Can't wait!

Loved his work, I was watching some of his stuff about two months ago actually and loved his work with Tojo Yamamoto. RIP

Disagree. I got into wrestling during Flair / Savage in 92, which still holds up as a great feud in my eyes.

Ignoring the obvious ones, I rate Flair vs Vader as being something special and also Flair vs HHH from 2005 was a treat. I wish we got a Bret Hart / Ric Flair programme in 1992 / 1993 also. They teased little bits on television but never delivered.

I always here about this Sting / Undertaker dream match, but to me it's picturing the Undertaker vs the 1997 - 2001 Sting. What do you guys think, has the window of opportunity passed on this one? I guess the WWE could quickly reboot the character to its prime look and feel I guess with a little well thought promotion.

Mental to think in 2005/2006 he realistically seemed like he could be a huge deal in wrestling. His stock is pretty worthless these days. Still, give the bloke credit, he's still over with the live crowds.

Sorry NintendoLogic, I saw this thread and can't resist adding my two bits. Bret Hart for me lads. I consider him the more versatile, more talented, I think he has a better library of work and commands more respect.

Dylan, I've read the book and indeed can vouch for it being a good read.

All the people who say he should have been world champion in WWE... I have to bawk at that I'm afraid. Still, brilliant ring gear, mind.

It's very good. Waltman is a consistently good guest. I hope so, I just bought it. I enjoyed his YouShoot very much. He was around during my favourite wrestling eras and is candid enough to reveal lots, but I was worried that he's start to be repeating a lot of his stuff and telling all too similar stories to other shoots.

I thought I'd be the same when I got a tablet, but so far the only time I've loaded it with wrestling was on a flight to America. I tried it once on the tube and felt like a knob, so that quickly stopped.

WWE has done a great job in making MITB seem like a big deal, as far as their PPV's go. It's perhaps #3 on my anticipated list after Mania and Rumble.

I dunno. I can easily watch a Bret Hart comp for a solid three hours. Granted I'm normally 50/50 with the TV / Phone or whatever.
