Reigns vs. Undertaker?
-
Ric Flair suggested the following WM matches on his podcast: - Charlotte vs. Ronda Rousey - Triple H vs. Shane McMahon I actually like the second one. There's a genuine issue there (maybe), and because they're against each other, they both take up one spot on the card instead of two. I have no interest in seeing either of them against anyone else on the roster. Even Triple H vs. Seth Rollins holds no appeal for me. The turn was convoluted and pointless, and Rollins has flopped hard as a babyface.

Ironically, he was a fantastic face before The Shield turn, to the point where most people were questioning if he could ever be an effective heel. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case this time. His entire turn has been bungled so badly, starting with his return where he got a massive face reaction only to heel the crowd right away. He lost everyone for good after that. It reminds me of the terrible Miz and Del Rio face turns. In all three cases, the timing was bad, the motivation for the turn was spotty, and their characters could never "flip the switch." For whatever reason, Seth is still playing the post-Shield version of his character, but as a face. That doesn't work at all. Only Stone Cold could get away with that, and Seth Rollins is no Stone Cold.

Didn't he kill his parents though? Or was that Kane? Seriously though, the KO example is a perfect one. Everything he does, he does for his family. It's not unreasonable that Alexa Bliss is also more complicated than "total bitch." Shouldn't we be happy that WWE has progressed beyond "catty" as a personality trait for every single female? With that said, yeah, she broke kayfabe, and yeah, it was jarring. But Bryan and Renee encouraged her, so that's obviously what they wanted. When it came time for her to turn her game-face back on, she did just that and heeled it up with relish.
-
Now I want to see that happen.
-
Did AJ's tights split in the back?
-
Alexa Bliss is someone who seems like she was initially meant to be a throwaway challenger, but through hard work and sheer personality over the past few months, she elevated herself. Great stuff.

MOTN. The best match of Baron Corbin's career?
-
Agreed. The match was a snoozefest at first - anyone who doesn't see that, I don't know what to tell you - but the final 10 minutes were a damn great stretch.
-
So happy to be wrong!
-
It's getting good now. Miz is selling his ass off.
-
Mauro calling this snoozer between The Miz and Ziggler "the culmination" and "the last chapter" pretty much gives away that the babyface - Ziggler - is winning.

Billy Corgan on Dixie Carter: "There's a little joke that I make about Dixie Carter and it goes something like this. She survived Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, Dutch Mantel, Bruce Prichard, and Jeff Jarrett, and now, by extension, Billy Corgan. Okay, so if add up those list of people that she, quote-unquote, and this is my joke, survived, then you say, what makes a person want to do that? And I think the simplest answer is the truest answer. You have somebody so desperate to be in that spot that they will literally do anything, say anything, be anything, and rub anybody out of the way, to maintain that spot. And there is a common belief that you hear, obviously, when you're involved with TNA, professionally, as I was. "There is a common belief out there that Dixie is dumb and easily worked. I would like to posit to the world a completely different theory and it's the exact opposite. She's the ultimate worker because she worked all those people, including me. She gets you to believe something about her that's not true, and maybe gets you to underestimate her intelligence, her ruthlessness, that she can still somehow come out on top. And the fact that she's willing to be so publicly humiliated, repeatedly, I think shows you how deeply she's invested in the public personality or the public opportunity that she wants to have. Don't ask me the deeper psychology because I am not a psychologist, but I've never seen anything like it and I've been in the entertainment business for 30 years." http://wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2016/1201/619871/billy-corgan-on-tna-settlement/

Steve Williams losing to Bart Gunn in the Brawl for All. Bart Gunn losing to Butterbean at WrestleMania.

My thoughts on 205 Live: - Cedric Alexander got, by far, the biggest pop of the night when everyone was standing by the entrance being introduced. I wonder if they should've gone with him instead of Swann in the main event. - The Bollywood Boyz aren't as good as some of the other cruiserweights, but they have characters and personality - which is what really matters in the WWE and honestly what the entire division desperately needs right now. To put it kindly, it's been a massive flop since the CWC ended. I'm not sure what the point is of having a tag team or tag team matches on a one-title show like 205 Live though. - Could they have telegraphed Tony Nese and Drew Gulak any harder as jobbers? No entrance, no intro, no personality, no charisma. Heck, Nese wasn't even in the opening entrance segment. (Edit: Yes he was. Apparently he was forgettable even there.) Also, is it just me or is Nese now less muscular and defined than he was during the CWC? Guess he can't risk being Wellness'd. Nese is a great athlete with a good body, but he literally has nothing else going for him. His personality is non-existent. Gulak reminds me of a science teacher. And the promo they cut after their loss was the drizzling shits - with Nese being especially bad as a whiny bitch heel, which is all wrong for his look and body type. Yeah, needless to say, I'm not high on "Mr. Personality" Tony Nese and Drew "Bill Nye" Gulak at all - I haven't been from the very beginning. I hope they prove me wrong. A year of seasoning in NXT is probably what they really need, because neither of them are ready for prime time. - Jack Gallagher is awesome. The division should be built around him. Daivari's brother didn't show much in the ring this week IMO, but he could be a decent heel. - Kendrick vs. Swann was a fun match. A Swann victory seemed obvious to me before the show, but they did a nice job of casting doubt with that Kendrick-Perkins locker room confrontation earlier on. My hope is that Perkins will turn heel and jealously go after Swann. His anointing as a plucky underdog babyface in the CWC was great, but that goodwill has already evaporated, so may as well try something else with the kid now. - Austin Aries was "just there" as a commentator. Definitely not a natural.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Black Friday deal. I just signed up. Can't go wrong for $4 (for the first month). BTW, the Torch has a Black Friday deal of their own - $2 (also just for the first month).

Joe vs. Nakamura in Japan has to be a set up for Nak to regain the title in his home country, right? I'm not a Joe fan, but it really is time to call one or both of them up to the main roster. I'd dig Joe vs. Roman. That feud writes itself IMO.

Thanks. I found another tweet from Road Dogg. What a couple of petty, insecure bitches. Dawson's tweet seems fine and harmless to me. What happened to the days of heels being allowed to, ya know, be heels.
-
Taz vs. Sabu wasn't the last match on the card, but it was definitely the one promoted the most and used as the "draw." Whether or not you consider it the main event is a matter of semantics, but it was on all the advertising, posters, etc.
-
What happened? And why was Bubba Ray, of all people, involved? Any screencaps of these tweets?

I can buy it. Keep in mind, Disney isn't just Mickey Mouse. They have many subsidiaries (and Paul did say he was negotiating with one of those). For example, in the '80s, Touchstone Pictures - a Disney company - released movies geared towards teens and adults.

No one will for TNA, that's for sure. Dixie has ensured that. Even people who would have, like AJ Styles, now have a sour taste in their mouths about that wreck of a company. I found it odd that The Dudleys kept referring to themselves as "the greatest tag team of all time." Maybe in ECW, but is there really a case to be made for them overall?
