    Good schtick match. I was more than a little annoyed with Pritchar-Piper?-no, Pritchard. Definitely Pritchard. I get annoyed with Piper on WWF commentary, it just gets worse when it's an imitator.

    Love the Horsemen team here. Horner was (again) weak on the hot tag, but Armstrong put in a great match and it's only because 1991 is so strong (and the finish) that this isn't one of the top matches of the year so far.

    Poor kid, can't believe his tough luck. I guess a stand-up guy like Tony Anthony will have to step in and be the father figure. Yeah, that.

    Great promo from Flair. I can see why it would draw despite the obvious limitations of a Gigante feud. Big Dust already working on improving things somewhat.

    I get that the WWF puts the babyface promo after the heel promo for the "they got the last word" effect. But putting Warrior after Savage is just a ridiculously bad idea.

    Rick missing was surprising, until he popped up. Good stuff there. Standard fare otherwise.

    I thought Pillman gave a great, fired up promo. The guy gave 110% at War Games and came up short, now he wants to make good.

    That kid taunting Funk during his entrance was great. And was that ECW Hawaiian shirt guy yelling at Funk later? Great atmosphere and crowd for this one and I thought it was a lot of fun. Tailor made for Terry Funk if you ask me.

    I agree that Bill should not have used the belt. It's a cliche, yes, but I have to agree that it blurs the lines of babyface and heel.

    Brazo de Oro has a gold armband on (oro = gold). Brazo de Plata has a platinum armband on (plata = platinum). Brazo combines the 2. Fun comedy match. Poor Super Porky, he is just such an emotional guy.

    Once I saw Eaton vs. Arn I was excited. Then about halfway through I started doing little stuff around the room while half paying attention. These guys have better in them.

    We all know why Hogan wasn't selling. He is the unconquerable American hero. This is Vince land and i think what we got was more vulnerability than he would have wanted.

    Good tag match. Finish is still such an 80s finish. WCW seems plagued by that.

    This was a great build-up to Virgil finally snapping. He's right there, but DiBiase still has just enough control over Virgil to keep him in check. Brilliant.

    HEALED! This is the kind of stuff that the WWF did well. You know it's all BS, but it's so over the top and done with the right commitment that it works as a schlocky parody of a televangelist.

    This here is.....just absolutely amazing. Barry and Arn are fucking badasses here. Arn at his absolute best and Barry is not more than a step behind. Two things not related to this promo directly. 1. Barry wasted so much talent if he had this in him. 2. I sincerely hope that WCW fired the moron who came up with this idea and put it on TV. I mean, it looks nothing like what WCW is supposed to look like. It accomplishes more than what it sets out to do, doesn't shoot itself in the foot and delivers on every possible level. Lets get with the program and do this the WCW way.

    Scott on the mic is godawful, which is no surprise given how bad he was 9 years later.

    The Virgil stuff is absolutely amazing. Seriously awesome stuff that was LONG time coming. Ted is incredible and deserves a lot of credit for making everything at least barely work given some of the garbage he was involved in.

    Awesome turn. Corny as a heel is a welcome sight anywhere. But even more so in Mempho!

    Great hype for a match we all know can't be what they are hyping it up as. Even so, Vader vs. Hansen anywhere is at least good.

    The hanging bit was really well-done. All of the promos as well. Top end Memphis really delivers on a lot of levels that the bigger promotions just don't.

    One of the posters above captured my feeling on this. Dusty is back home. Love ya big Dust! Anyone else think these WOTY and other awards were just WCW-booked hype at this point?
