  1. Ten times better than the Robocop segment! I'm pretty sure this was one time I was happy to see the Dog show up. Once he starts wrestling it's way less likely to happen.
  2. I agree that this could have gone far worse. Robocop shows up and does something worthwhile with nobody looking overly bad for it. Glad we got the whole Robocop thing out of the way.
  3. Flair really brings it home here. Too bad what happened...happened.
  4. Tatum as an abusive asshole is really, really good. Too good maybe. Nice beatdown on Dundee.
  5. I was on Percy's side for this as well. Could Kerry ever cut a promo worth a damn?
  6. I knew going in this was worked, but loved how close they played it. Nobody is letting on that this is not a shoot. Great, great stuff all-around.
  7. Both Rude and Heenan kick ass in these. But I agree they are hard to take as realistic attempts at making Rude a threat to Warrior.
  8. I'm with Pete on that first post he made. Satanico looking for revenge was all kinds of awesome. Also, Satanico goes way more rudo here. He and Charles start really laying on the rudo tactics as the match goes on.
  9. Looked to me like Misawa was getting pissed off that Fuyuki and Yatsu kept using the mask to control him. The barrage of actual stiff strikes outside kind of supports that. Doesn't seem like Yatsu ever recovers in this match either, he can barely move afterwards. My guess is some shit went down with Misawa and Yatsu during this and they had to bullshit through the rest of the time without him. Kawada looks almost as tired of playing juniors Kawada as Misawa was of being under the hood.
  10. Adams is going to have to come up with a better surprise.
  11. Luger with a fired-up promo that works! I really want him to succeed despite knowing that he does not.
  12. Awesome Valiant promo. He needs to be a babyface manager after he (PLEASE) stops wrestling. The man has all kinds of value in the right role.
  13. Best Valiant match on the set so far. The use of weapons to maim Lawler throughout had to help. Lawler using ether to KO Valiant is actually a pretty clever heel way to end a match.
  14. Awesome promo by Rude. Also, you'll note that Rude was hitting the heavy bag without wraps or wrist support of any kind. That means the guy knew how to throw a damn punch. You throw any kind of hard punch at all with a sloppy wrist at a heavy bag bare-handed and you'll know about it for days if not longer. Also rips the shit out of your knuckles if you drag them at all. So yeah, Rude is a badass and can carry off these promos really well. I will repeat my thought that this kind of shit would have been over like gangbusters in WCW.
  15. Dusty really cuts a great, fired-up promo here. For as shitty as this feud was, the participants sure gave 110% to make it better. Sapphire slapping Brother Love was good too.
  16. Looked to me like Lex was overthinking things when he was up. He just couldn't snap out an answer and pressured himself into bad ones. Stinger seemed like the best at trying to make things up on the go. Scotty did pretty well for a big musclehead guy. Rick and Animal are complete lost causes.
  17. Anybody get the idea that Ole is able to seem so angry when he talks by channeling his rage at the whole Robocop thing? The guy has to be absolutely appalled by that whole deal.
  18. I like serious Lawler promos a lot. He gets a little too wrapped up in his own clever insults when he's burying people.
  19. I just can't help thinking that Sherri is one of the lost highlights of late 80s/early 90s wrestling. The Rose/Somers stuff in AWA and this put her on the Heenan level of managers around this time for me.
  20. Loved this! Kerry slamming Borne onto the hood of the el Camino (TWICE!) had me popping. Don't even care that it was a DCO because what came after was sooooo damn worth it. And come to think of it, what came before was right up there too.
  21. Lowrance forgetting what mace was called stood out. Jeannie is really out to get Adams, must be all kinds of bitter after the divorce.
  22. Tatum, Dundee and Tessa play their roles perfectly here. Not sure I buy into the Southern "that ain't no lady" idea behind this kind of stuff, but it works for the fans. In wrestling it's the babyfaces who do the sexual assaulting. Says something for the industry doesn't it?
  23. One of the few times I have enjoyed Kerry. He really brought the hate here in a way that translates well to...reality? Which is pretty strange for Kerry at this point. It's like a Warrior promo that makes sense.
  24. Borne is such a fucking PRICK here after he starts whupping on Chris von Erich. Hopefully Chris knew how to bump before coming into this because he had to learn pretty damn fast if he didn't.
  25. Travis works completely different, but just as effectively as a face. I'll echo him as a lost worker. Fun tag and I get that Gossett is big. But let's lay off him getting so involved.
