  1. Just one page for the Big Dog so far. I've a feeling he'll get plenty now... Really great in-ring years in 2016-18, stumbled a bit coming back in 2019 but if August 2020 until now form continues for a decent spell, he's a top 10 for me.

Politely requesting recommendations from @el-p (and others) for his best TNA matches

    Undertaker

How does 2016-20 help or hurt him? Only positives that come to mind for me are vs Reigns and vs Styles at WrestleMania, and a tag match in a July 2019 PPV...
  5. I'll be curious to see what everyone makes of his April 2016 to April 2020 (he hasn't worked since, right?) work. Interesting work with Balor, Bryan, Styles, Joe and Goldberg. Less successful results with Rollins, Reigns and Stroman. Oh, and Rumble 2020.....
  6. Could someone recommend his best matches since WrestleMania 35 (I fell off watching regularly after that)?
  7. https://www.postwrestling.com/category/podcasts/postwrestling/the-long-winding-royal-road/ You might enjoy this, JvK.
  8. Just finished the last of the shoot style series and although it's a world I've very little knowledge of I really enjoyed it. What's next, Marty? Don't stop now!
  9. I second all that. Angle comes across as a decent guy in the first two episodes I’ve listened to. Looking forward to more.
  10. In HHH's defense, going in to Wrestlemania 27 he did seem like the biggest possible opponent for Undertaker. They had wrestled in 2002, and then not touched until a Smackdown in autumn 2008, then worked the finishing stretch at Elimination Chamber 2009. That's very little interaction between two of the biggest names of the 2000s.
  11. When did jdw do those reports?
  12. Through means either fair or foul, I have very recently come into possession of the entire Torch back catalogue. Any recommendations on articles, good time periods, contributing writers to watch out for?
  13. It's funny all of this is coming together in a thread right now... My brother in law is in his mid 40s. Last watched in the early 90s. In an effort to keep his three boys entertained, he's ordered the WWE Network. He's asked me for recommendations based on what the boys are enjoying, and I'm trying not to overwhelm him with playlists. I was wondering yesterday, though, what are the odds against him or any of the three lads becoming wrestling lifers, possibly lurking and eventually posting here or somewhere similar? It really must be at least 10,000/1.
  14. That was one hell of a intro to shoot style, boys. I'm in the 'watched Vader-Takada, then backed off' category. Looking forward to giving it a shot - the last man standing matches comparison sounds intriguing. Also, Marty - this entire series is amazing. You've noted you prefer writing but believe me you're getting your point across in these podcasts - articulate, thoughtful, interesting. Love to hear you team up with Chad sometime....
  15. Loss, I for one would have absolutely no problem remaining silent while you dispensed wisdom in a thread here. Hope you're doing ok - my four year old and wife are ready to kill each other daily.
  16. Are the results out yet, Justin?
  17. It's fine, Marty - I got it working soon afterwards
  18. Marty, is there an issue getting that last episode to download? Like a lot of places, life's pretty wretched in Ireland at the minute - Don't leave me hanging!
  19. When's part 2 of Psychology is dead Top 50 of 2010s? Great listening so far....
  20. Marty, I'm wrecking my head trying to remember the last time I heard you - did tag teams are back again run into 2016? Anyway, listened to the first wcw one and into the TNA episodes - nice finally hearing Jerome too. I followed TNA quite closely in the 2005-07 and then 2012-15 ranges. It's a little explored theme in podcasts, very refreshing to hear!
  21. Since you mentioned jdw, how's his old buddy Parv doing?
  22. Hi, I don't contribute as much as I did in years past, but I come here to read up at least once every day. With the year that's been, I just wanted to thank everyone that does write here, offering some comfort away from all the unpleasantness. Merry Christmas, Mick
  23. Has anyone else tried out the watch-alongs Cornette has been doing? I really enjoyed the Magnum-Tully starrcade one.

  25. I've listened to Cornette's commentary on Michaels-Vader (SummerSlam 96) and Bret-Austin (WM 13). If he spent all his time doing these and not bothering with all the bullshit, I'd be happy enough.
