  1. PARV IS BACK, BABY! I feel like singing My Boyfriend Is Back! Don't know what you mean by Hashimoto being two-dimensional, but I am pretty sure I disagree. Don't know that is a major blind spot for me. That seems like a slam dunk to me. Junior was in a high profile spot from 73-83. Am I underrating Fuchi's 80s? We talked about this. It is overrated, but it an upper tier run in terms of being heat magnet. It is not Flair '89, but it is in Top 50 or so calendar year runs. Hmmmmmmmm...it is close Have not seen enough Hase. I disagree. You will watch '93 WCW and realize you are wrong. Benoit match and tags with Bagwell against Blonds. I like Tiger Mask in Original UWF and the one Dk match I watched was pretty good. I can get behind this. I don't think this is against the grain. You are focusing on the wrong thing in this case though. They are both great in different ways. Lol @ Mooney. Tully is pretty bitchin' at promos. I totally agree with this! Don't really care for most Tully matches. It is close. LIEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I prefer the early 90s also except for 97. 97 is so so good. I rewatched '98 WWF from March through July and it is quite entertaining. Really good continuity. Disagree! '99 does probably suck. DX '97 maybe my favorite in wrestling ever period. It is so short, but that may be the best heel run ever. I love bombast, pomp & circumstance, so yes I dig HHH's entrances and his heavy metal iconography Jabroni matches, promos AND ANGLES is what TV should be about. Bullshit. 2013 was incredible. I like VinnyMac, but still will take Tony & JR. I abhor Gorilla. He is an asshole. Havent watched much, but yeah American wrestling and puroresu >>> Lucha Parv (if you're still with us), I'd love to get an understanding of what you watched and when before starting WTBBP. You have some very peculiar ideas sometimes......
  2. Good show! Do you have a copy of your Report cards? Got a bit more difficult keeping up towards the end.
  3. Sorry, but this show is awful.
  4. Not much interest, huh?
  5. Just wanted to say I'm slowly working through a backlog of these (3 to 4 hours a pop!) and the interviews are absolutely tremendous. The wrap arounds are fascinating too. The length initially was a turnoff for me, but once acquainted with the SuperUniverse (Sue the Shooter and Orgasmic Larry being particular highlights) time flies.
  6. Just got to this today and really cool hearing a very personal reflection on Canadian Stampede.
  7. I thought Johnny questioning the importance placed on selling in PWO was very interesting.....
  8. Yeah, just getting to these now but the Polish Joe interview series is fantastic- please continue to hunt down these unusual interview choices, they really stand out in a sea of bland everywhere else. Also, the Piper 'that's not my dad!' bit had me in hysterics.
  9. Curious to see what they put together. Orton isn't the type to take a truckload of punishment.
  10. So the Lesnar-Orton match at SummerSlam isn't sending pulses racing here, huh?
  11. The Bob Barnett interview is exceptionally good. He's led an interesting life.
  12. Yeah, they will do nicely Pete
  13. Thanks for the shout out, Chad. Starrcade 92 is always a difficult show to rate - 4 perfectly adequate battlebowl tags and the two really strong matches later in the show push it far, but the over-reliance on a few wrestlers really takes a toll.
  14. That was hilarious! To be fair, the match from summer 92 smokes the autumn 91 one.
  15. While we're planning ahead, have you decided on your tv matches of 1992 to review yet? I'd like a little peak at the list, to watch before the show.
  16. Thought it was interesting that they had Seth acknowledge the suspension. Suppose it makes more sense than sweeping it under the rug.
  17. Hopefully....
  18. Ok, I'll mess about with the setting to get the whole photo...
  19. That's interesting about Brody-Dusty. I think I've a photo of a bullrope match between them...
  20. It's not that I've appropriated opinions and wisdom from here, entirely. I know people are loathe to speak of a pwo type of fan, but to me it falls broadly into a pro-80s and 90s US fan with a definite cooling off of enthusiasm for the noughties. That's me to a tee. The only thing I found jarring when first discovering the board was the Angle and Michaels talk.
  21. That's a bit harsh, GOTNW. I know that two years here has dampened my enthusiasm for Angle and Michaels. That doesn't make me a sheep. You're young and fiercely independent. Give it a few years - these type of things will matter less.
  22. As good as Canadian Stampede was, imagine Michaels and Sid in there instead of Shamrock and Goldust - WOW!
  23. Great show guys, really liked Kelly's old school and proud stance, and Marty brought the vim and vigour.
  24. Squared Circle Gazette gets feedback from other sites too.
