  1. WWF NEWS -A lot of excitement surrounding the WWF here in the final weeks on 1985. It was announced at the "Survival Special" that WrestleMania 2 would be held in Chicago at the UIC Pavilion. The date has yet to be disclosed but all points lead to a late March date. Toronto, Detroit, New York, and Los Angeles were all in the running for the event. -The reveal of the Hart Foundation with Tito Santana has been building for months went off well on television and with the live crowd. Vince McMahon sees an opportunity in the Harts to be a real babyface force in the WWF...especially with Bret Hart's ability to sell and Jim Neidhart's ability to fire up the crowd with his explosive offense. -The current main event for the December 30th show in Madison Square Garden is Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant taking on Ted Dibiase and the One Man Gang. This has been the big fall angle for the WWF but the real draw everyone wants is Hulk Hogan taking on Ted Dibiase. It could be slated for an event down the road but right now Gino Hernandez is the prize commodity in the WWF and many feel it wouldn't be surprise if he ended up with the title at SNME. -Expect the WWF to bring back Sting at some point in the new year. He was loaned out to World Class and has done some fantastic work as of late. He may be one of the fresh faces coming in after WrestleMania. Ray Traylor (Big Bossman) also did this with World Class/Continental. He has been getting rave reviews on the road for his work with Dibiase and could be in line to get into the ring soon. -Many expect to see the WWF try and expand over the next 6 months. With a 2nd WrestleMania coming, the markets continue to grow. Many have wondered why they haven't done more down in Florida and the MidWest. That could all change in the next 6 months with the roster looking to expand. -The WWF has been highly recruiting a manager in the Kansas City area named Ken Johnson. He has a very interesting gimmick but could prove to be viable in the WWF given the right opportunity. This comes as Freddie Blassie looks to get off of the road and just do television tapings.
  2. I'd think that a week would do the trick to let everyone have a chance.
  3. No... the drop is if you are at or over the limit. If you have the space, you can pick someone up without a problem. Still... only one person per day.
  4. Absolutely... the best part about that is the realism of booking within the NWA and then making those pivots. I don't think there's anything wrong with Kevin... he is a star without a doubt. Always something to build from down the line if needed. By the way I still want to see the Funk and Gordy match
  5. Got a chance to read through everything today. You guys are all doing great work. Looking forward to what we come out swinging with here with the Holidays and then the new year. For January 1st... there are going to be all the rookie free agents available. To make things easy... you can only pick one person every 24 hours. This way someone can't come in and pick everyone. So say I want someone... January 1st is on a Monday. At 8am on Monday, I am going to drop someone and pick someone up. Then I can do it again until the next day. But I can only pick one person at a time... even if I am going to use them for a pack. Read this through once or twice or three times and make sure we're on the same page so everyone can still get some of the free agents and continue to build rosters.
  6. WWF Live 12/15 Los Angeles, CA – Sports Arena MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan & Andre the Giant defeated Gino Hernandez & King Kong Bundy via DQ Ted Dibiase w/ Big Bossman defeated Barry Windham in a 30-minute classic TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fabulous Ones © defeated the Fantastics Demolition defeated The Hart Foundation INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP LUMBERJACK MATCH Tito Santana defeated Randy Savage © to win the IC Title… but the decision was reversed when Randy Savage hit a referee and a new referee came out to make the pinfall.
  7. WWF Presents: Superstars of Wrestling Hosted By: Vince McMahon & Jesse ‘ The Body’ Ventura Matches from: Phoenix, AZ – Veterans Memorial Auditorium Dino Bravo defeated John Wallace Don Muraco w/ Mr. Fuji defeated Mike Parker Curt Hennig defeated Timothy Kent King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan defeated Ron Wright - 5 Count included Bobby Heenan: Haha… you see I had to do some moving and shaking… once again I was able to put up a fight and get the man I wanted and you see him right here. 500 pounds of King Kong Bundy… back and badder than ever! You see everyone is talking about this big SNME match with Gino Hernandez and Hulk Hogan… but Hogan… if by some chance in the world you find a way to win… look no further than this man right here… your time is coming Hogan and pretty soon… it is all coming to crash down on you! MAIN EVENT Demolition vs The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff w/ Freddie Blassie -A really fun main event in terms of characters…. Workwise not so much. This is a good showcase for Demolition against a team of formidable competition. The finish sees Demolition use some miscommunication with Sheik and Nikolai before ramming them into one another and then hitting Sheik with a double clothesline for the 3-count! Before we cut the scene… the Fabulous Ones are showing walking down to the ring with the titles and attempting to be tough before Demolition gives chase and they run for the hills! The Body Shop w/ Randy Savage & Tito Santana -In this Body Shop, we see the Captains out there with their teams and respective managers. Savage is up with his picks… Randy Savage: You see something Santana, when you want to defeat an enemy, you gather an army but you don’t only get troops you also have to gather intelligence. That is just something you don’t have. You have to know everything about your enemy and no one knows you any better than my next picks of GREG THE HAMMER VALENTINE & THE HONKY TONK MAN! Tito Santana: Well for once Savage you are right. You can’t just put men into a fight and call yourself a team. Now, Greg Valentine and I know each other well and I respect that pick… but brother your team has no Hart! (Crowd starts to stir!) You see, every great army that has ever won a war had HART and brother we have got HART with Bret Hart and Jim the Anvil Neidhart… THE HART FOUNDATION! -The crowd pops HUGE for this one as it has been building. Jimmy Hart goes nuts putting over how if the Harts show up next week at SNME then they will be fired from wrestling and they will pay the Ultimate PRICE! Bret and Anvil just look him down and then we see Andre step into the scene. This one is going to be big next week on SNME!

WWF Presents: Wrestling Challenge Hosted By: Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby the Brain Heenan Matches from: Phoenix, AZ – Veterans Memorial Auditorium Curt Hennig defeated Kent Jones Curt Hennig: You know everyone has been asking me about coming to the WWF and I couldn’t be happier. This is the place to be when it comes to professional wrestling and brother you are looking at the best. I am here to prove to everyone that I have got the pedigree to go right to the top… no matter who is in my way! Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Ray Vincent The Sheepherders defeated Barry Horowitz & Mark Fleming MAIN EVENT Tito Santana vs Bret Hart w/ Jimmy Hart -Big time main event and these guys get some time to shine. It is about 13-minutes and we see the raw what could be from bret Hart while Tito is really in a good groove as a worker. Heenan and Gorilla put over the big announcements tomorrow on Superstars with the final participants for Santana’s team and Savage’s team. Here tonight, Jimmy Hart is with Bret but not really serving as much help. The finish sees Jimmy Hart almost distracting the referee which leads to Bret questioning him about it before getting dropkicked into the turnbuckle and then rolled up for a 3-count. Bret is livid while Tito looks strong here tonight. SNME REPORT: MAIN EVENT WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan © vs Gino Hernandez w/ Bobby Heenan WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Demolition vs The Fabulous Ones © w/ Jimmy Hart Barry Windham vs Ravishing Rick Rude w/ Bobby Heenan Tito Santana’s Team vs Randy Savage’s Team in a 5 on 5 special challenge Gino Hernandez: I guess that time is ticking for you Hulk Hogan. You know that I have become even more dangerous… I have become even more treacherous. I have become the most dangerous opponent you have ever met. Understand that on SNME I am not coming out there to just win the title… I am coming out there to dog you… I am coming out there to humiliate you… I am coming out there to take everything you’ve got! My name is Gino Hernandez and for far too long have I been held down by the bureaucracy and the politics that keep a man like me out of the sights of a man like you. Hogan I am front and center and I am coming for the title and I am coming to end Hulkamania! Hulk Hogan: I continue to hear the ticking and the tocking Gino Hernandez… but it is not my clock brother… it is the clock of Hulkamania and it is about to run out on you. I have studied the tapes, I have spent the time in the gym, and I have been praying to the big guy in the sky. I have seen it play out… I know what is going to happen… I am out to prove to the world that I can and will defeat any and all comers at the WWF Championship. This title is the prize of all prizes and the top in the world and only the best can get a hand on it. Gino Hernandez… I don’t have a doubt in my mind that you are a worthy challenger but brother you better know that when you step into that ring, you are stepping in with the strongest force in the world and WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU!

  11. I have a great appreciation for the talent development... especially after what you've picked up in the draft. I know that it takes time and effort to put a younger talent on the map and you've done that better than any of us. When we have an outside reader come in, it can sometimes ruffle feathers... but always remember that when WWF bought WCW... they lost almost half of the wrestling viewership in the country and it still has yet to come back. We sometimes write for the reader but I know I personally write what I feel is best. Keep doing the work your doing and distinguishing yourself from the rest of us.
  12. I really love what you've done from the ground floor... from top to bottom you are going in the right direction. When we spoke months and months ago about you joining and you weren't sure if you had the ability, whatever you've done since then has proven to be beneficial. You've got a great roster that you are turning into your own. You have got the biggest event of the year coming up. Everything looks to be going in the right direction and that is in a positive way.
  13. I will admit that I get lost in some of the text when trying to keep up with everything. I like the climate you are creating and we have spoken to some of those little pieces in PM. The NWA is greatly growing and you are jumping right back in where you were a couple of years ago with a different roster and direction. I like where you're going here and the pieces you are putting together to get there. I find myself drawn to the bigger names coming in... but also how Colon is booked and then the growth of Bam Bam. Keep doin work!
  14. We originally pushed a Martel vs Flair feud back in 1983... but this one seems so much more right and so much better developed. The card for Starrcade looks amazing. Personally I am looking forward to the triangle match.
  15. "Modern Day Warrior" Kerry Von Erich defeated Sting w/Missy Hyatt with the 'Iron Claw' I would have LOVED to see that contest. Big John Studd w/Percival Pringle III defeated Kerry Von Erich thanks to interference from his tag team championship partner The Grappler This is what I was saying before about putting over Studd in a big way. Kevin Von Erich defeated Big John Studd w/Percival Pringle III after The Grappler tried to interfere but was stopped by Kerry Von Erich, and then Percy Pringle tried to interfere but was stopped by Terry Funk! I like seeing Funk in this role because at any point in time he could go back on the Von Erichs. I personally have more of a fondness for Kerry than Kevin so that would be my only drawback from the tournament and seeing Kerry triumph over Studd after Studd beat up his "smaller" brother Kevin makes for a story to be told down the line.
  16. Only minor thing is that Slick should be a January 1st free agent since he's a 1986 rookie... But I may be wrong on that.
  17. I think that if you guys want to book the NWA champion in that way with MACW, Lutte, World Class, & PR... I'd love to see it work. Meet amongst yourselves and hammer it out... let me know if you'd like some help.
  18. A couple of notes to go by... 1. Awesome draft and way to get it finished so quickly! 2. All individuals drafted will not be eligible to start until January 1st. Some say "why do we do this so early?" Well now you have around 20 days to plan and put pieces together in order to make your adjustments for your rosters. 3. PLEASE KEEP AN UPDATED ROSTER AVAILABLE. There is going to be a lot of movement over the next 3 weeks... trades, drafts, free agency... it is a nightmare to try and keep everything up to date... it helps if you keep an up to date version of your roster available. Please post it on the Roster Database or PM me and I will get it updated. 3b. I am going to go in and take out the defunct promotions this evening and get things updated. Please send me or post rosters at your earliest convenience to reflect where you are at now and then come January we'll make moves again. 4. Free Agency... if Kevin still wants to be in charge of this, I would appreciate it. If not someone else could pick it up or I could do it. But what I think is going to happen is that all the guys who were on defunct rosters will go straight to free agency and be able to be picked up tomorrow starting at 8 am central US time. The rookies/fresh faces will go into free agency starting on January 1st. (REMEMBER THAT THE CURRENT CAP IS 49 and will jump to 50 on January 1st) Be sure to be mindful of your roster and post moves where they belong to get to your cap. 5. Freelancers... right now it is Brody, Hansen, Abdullah, & Mascaras... anyone else that should be on this list? Edgar, are you still up for handling the freelancers? I think that is it for right now... amazing draft... great year... we are about to embark on a very interesting 1986 with some real powerhouse promotions all over and talent to boot. Let me know if you have questions as we get going.
  19. Okay fellas I'm at work right now but just an update everyone you drafted will be eligible to be used on January 1st. There were people that will go to free agency that will also not be eligible until January 1st. Any individuals on in active rosters may go right into free agency I'm not sure if that is best practice yet or not. We will not start free agency until tomorrow morning and it will be a one pick one drop per 24 hour so as not to over-saturate free agency if Kevin still wants to do it if not I will takeover and get everything cleaned up
