    Sabu

Sabu as a gimmick is an all-timer. Pro Wrestling needs more Sabu acts. As an in ring performer/worker he can be down right awful. He woulda been fantastic in the 70's and 80's. Woulda made a TON of money with that gimmick in that system.
  2. Thanks Dylan Waco for that clip. I think Abby will make my list. Badlittlekitten said it best.
  3. I also think it's to bad because they have great talent.
  4. I agree Russellmania. That's why the WWE is doing it's best impression of Linda Lovelace.
  5. I'm actually back to not watchin much. I gotta have Brock Lesnar a little bit more. Lesnar, Harper, Bryan, Rusev, Ambrose, Dustin, Sheamus, and Barrett are who I'm invested in. Lesnar at home, Bryan injured, and Dustin gone. That leaves me with 5 guys. Bullshit. I'm so fuckin sick of lookin at Cena too. I'm at the Elvis Presley point where I wanna shoot my idiot box when he's on. There has never been a more stale pro wrestler and that's coverin a lot of ground. He was also an asshole to my Cousin a few days after WM when he and Nikki were up in Yountville, CA goofin off. If ya ain't under 13 I guess that's his MO? Don't know. I don't wish harm on the guy but wish he couldn't wrestle fulltime anymore. FU Cena.
  6. Bryan just needs to adjust his style. He needs to transform himself into a pissed off brawler with a big time chip on his shoulder for being passed over. He needs to FIGHT his way back to the top. Punches and Kicks. Turn Memphis. It would fit his appearance better too. He needs a blood feud for this transformation.
  7. I tried to revisit St Louis footage again and like last time I turned it off. It's boring. It ain't Southern Rasslin. I lump it into the WWWF/WWF and majority of the AWA pile. So now I'm watching 1988 Lawler stuff. Lawler is so fuckin great it's not even funny. They just don't make them like Lawler anymore.
  8. Memphis Mark took the words right outta my mouth. Hit the nail on the head.
  9. WWWF/WWF stuff from the 60's-90's. Although I did attend events in the 80's and early 90's. Bret Hart. Can't stand the guy on my TV. He was so damn full of himself and he couldn't hide it. Guy should of never been a face. I think he's a bad promo and highly overrated in the ring. I can understand if you're between the ages of 25-35 liking the guy because of the impressions of childhood. But man I can't stand him. Doesn't help that 90's WWF was awful until 1997. Even though the 90's don't hold up well imo. WCW. I enjoyed a lot of the stuff from 89 although it's a highly overrated year in pro wrestling history. But man after the Flair/Funk series the company was so FUBAR until the day Time-Warner pulled the cord. I got caught up in the Monday Night stuff like everyone else but will never revisit it because I think it's mostly the shits. Come to think of it the 90's were the shits outside of some Memphis and Smokey. All-Japan had it's moments but ya have the same ol shit occurring after a bit.
  10. 70's and 80's Southern Rasslin. It doesn't matter what promotion as long as it's in the South.
  11. I really enjoyed Lesnar/Reigns and I'd give it an A grade. However the Rollins run in kept it from an A+. I thought they should of had Lesnar incorporate a hold that woulda made Reigns pass out from the pain. A cash-in finish at WrestleMania after the performance those two put on is some serious bull shit.
  12. No. I can't stand the act or the work. Didn't like the stuff I've seen from ECW. I never liked ECW work in general though. It was Blood and Garbage done badly. As for the WWE stuff. I find the Dudleys, Hardys, and Edge & Christian to be three of the most overrated tag-teams (and the era) of all time. The matches were awful then and I'm sure are worse now. Then again tag-team wrestling in the Northeast has always been terrible. As were the majority of teams imo.
  13. I think of Flair/Sting from 88. I saw them live a week before the Clash in SF and then watched the Clash. I've only seen the match twice because Sting isn't my thing. From what I remember though they walk through the same spots 2-3 times in 45min. Match woulda been much better as a 22-24min match imo. But I understand why they went 45 even though I wouldn't of booked it that way. Time limit draws of the 45-60min variety are lazy booking 9 outta 10 times imo.
  14. I think they go hand and hand. Especially here with all the knowledge. I'm so blown away by this place it's not even funny. I told my cousin about it who was a Georgia guy in the 70's into the early 80's. I'd really like him to come aboard and discuss Georgia from that time period. He went to a lot of shows in Atlanta, Marietta, and Macon in the time frame. Unfortunately he's a shitty writer then I and computers aren't his thing.
  15. I don't follow the Indies so in regards to business I'm not qualified to take a guess. But I don't like it either. I don't like the idea of man on woman violence staged or not. Then again I worked as a Bartender and Bouncer for the majority of my life and have seen some fubar incidents.
  16. Pro Wrestlers performing a match instead of actually working a match bugs the shit outta me. I understand there are ideas in regards to certain spots. But laying a match step for step like you would as a dancer bugs me. Because if you can't adjust to the particular crowd your working in front of you can lose pops and heat in a split second and never recover. I'm not saying you can't have a great match doing this. It's just something that I don't agree with. Promos fit into this too imo. It's why Savage loses points with me and I'm a big Savage fan pre-87. Maybe I'm in the minority because I'm an old guy?
  17. I enjoy tag-team matches on the same level as singles matches. Cutting my teeth on Shire and moving onto Crockett is why. I don't know the last time anyone as watched these three events but I thought I would ask anyway. I know the commercial shots don't allow you to hit the bulls-eye but I'm going with 1986 considering I was at the event. In 1987 you had the great Flair & Windham match that added to the overall event. Plus the return of Magnum TA. You also get the upstart Luger getting a big run outta the gate. It seems though that 1988 gets lost because of the shitty format and Koloff challenging Flair fell flat obviously due to Koloff. There were some solid matches though. I'm starting with 1986 here. At the 1986 Cup The Sheepherders were easily the MVPs putting out two solid matches with both the Guerrero's and Rock-n-Rolls. Then they delivered the best match of the show against the Fantastics. The Fantastics also had a solid match with Anderson & Blanchard. The team I remember being really impressed with was Williams & Taylor. Only thing I thought they screwed up was not sending The Russians into the Finals versus The Road Warriors.
  18. What the hell is your problem? It's none of your damn business how I spend my cash. Worry about your own finances or lack of. As for your question. It's WrestleMania and from what I've read and been told in conversation the Network is half assed.
  19. Lesnar (Rooting for him as well) Sting (Rooting for HHH. Never liked Sting) Bryan (Rooting for him as well) Taker (Rooting for Wyatt. Only liked Taker during is Biker run) Cena (Rooting for Rusev) Orton (Neutral) Sheamus (Rooting for Henry if he's in it) Cesaro/Kidd (Rooting for Cesaro. Never liked Kidd) Paige/Lee (Rooting for Bellas. Like Paige. Can't stand Lee)
  20. I have Comcast on the fastest speed they offer. Great internet access. I have Top Tier Cable, Netflix, Hulu+. I'm at an age and place in life where I can afford to drop $69.99 for WrestleMania and more then likely Summerslam. I have no use for the network because it's a Mickey Mouse operation.
  21. Hulk F'n Hogan. I never liked the sob as a pro wrestler. Without him there's no WrestleMania period. Hell there's no WWE as you know it today. Runner-up would be Taker. Not the Midnight Rocker or the White Rapper.
  22. I said I wasn't gonna watch this year. That turned out to be bullshit. The lady is actually gonna watch pro wrestling with me after 8yrs of being together. Have my Coors, JD, Camels, and cold cuts on hand. I have no use for the network so I'm the jackass that the three stooges bitch about on Mondays. Oh well $69.99. Screw it. Let's get rowdy boys.
  23. I've always watched pro wrestling as a fan not a critic. So you bet your ass wins and losses matter. I want the guy I like to kick the guy I don't likes ass sideways. Isn't that what being a fan is? At least it was back in my day. I watch pro wrestling like I watch Football, Baseball, Golf, Horse Racing, and Bull Riding. I wanna see winners and losers.
  24. I've been watching for 50yrs. It's only a 90min drive and I'm not going. You have to be a glutton for punishment if you're following this shit.
  25. JCP 76, 77, and 78.
