Thanks Mick for listening, I think I was exaggerating my disdain for Orton but I can't really pinpoint where I have enjoyed Orton -

Yeah I'm doing a lot of prep work and things to make this idea pop. If all goes well May 27 will be the date I premiere it but it's good to get a headstart on promotion -

Meet the Press Slam info and looking for guests

Hey guys, I'm trying to gauge interest on guests for the first episode. Topic will be on wrestling's expansion and will another company be able to compete with WWE. If anyone's interested, send me a personal message on here or send me an email at [email protected] -
Hey guys, A while back I had an idea I posted about on here for a podcast called Meet the Press Slam. I initially recorded a pilot episode that got lost in December with Johnny Sorrow and Chris Harrington with the topic of WWE'S expansion and if it was a monopoly. After sitting on the idea and tinkering with format and what not I'm relaunching this idea with more promotion and buzz on my end with ideas of how I want this show to be. Ideally I would like it to be a biweekly show touching on timely and historical issues that have had the wrestling industry talking. I would want people on both sides of said topic and debate the facets of the topic in depth. I will serve as a moderator and have 2-3 guests per show. Topic ideas: WWE'S current business model vs past business model WWE Locker Room Culture Are part time wrestlers a good thing? Should elements of shoot be involved in wrestling? WWE Creative then vs now What will it take for another wrestling company to take on WWE? And more. I invite you all to like the Facebook page and I'll be making a show centric twitter as well. https://www.facebook.com/meetthepresslam/

What does "casual fan" even mean in 2017 wrestling?

I think a casual fan doesn't want to read the boards and the observer per say. They watch WWE on a regular basis but nothing else. -

New Get in the Ring Super Thread

I'm trying to incorporate some new stuff to it but I'm just trying to have more fun with it than be concerned about numbers. I really don't have a unique perspective other than my stuff at the Monster Factory which I try to draw in to those experiences. I feel like it's a hard act to juggle trying to be different and get the opinions out there. I'm going to start a PWO 2K project segment starting this week. I'm just not sure how to attack this? -

This match was a standard RAW clusterfuck. I felt that it was convoluted and dragged on at times. I wasn't invested in the whole DX storyline and the distraction finish was predictable. All hail, **1/2

Honma has a good charisma that draws you into his matches and again was the case here. I felt he was the workhorse of the match supplementing the heat segment with believable selling. Yamakawa was just another guy to me with the exception of the entrance which was amazing. It was great seeing Honma in his younger days doing the deathmatches. I liked that they built to the weapons spots and they're well timed within the match structure. ***1/4

Tarzan Boy impressed me here, had a good look and played off his character well and got the sympathetic babyface heat but the star of this show was Rey Bucanero. That Gory Dominator special that he pulled off on the first fall was impressive and he displayed a good heel charisma. Overall this is almost everything I'd want in a lucha brawl, outside antics, blood, a good story wrapped up in a nice package. ***3/4
