Btw I love the Podcast and Parv & Chad are the OGs when I think of classic wrestling podcasts.

The Hulkster War Helmet was used simply for the reason that Bad News Brown would refuse to job to Hogan. Hogan has talked about it in interviews. It wasn't used because Hogan thought it was cool. Hogan would get DQ'd for hitting Brown. Not sure if it was used against piper.

If the pod is about 80's and early 90's wrestling than I like long podcasts. I have habit of playing them on an old android phone, when I go to bed. The timestamps help out especially on Between the Sheets because I never got into Jap wrestling and don't know if I ever will. Probably because some of the most exciting moments in pro wrestling are out of the ring! From Pipers pit to brother love.

Personally I never was negatively affected by racist or stereo-typing in wrestling except for 1 time and it changed how I viewed pro wrestling. Ok so I was born in early 80s and was obsessed with wrestling since I started watching TV. I remember crying when my mom took me to the mall saturday morning and didn't take me home in time to see beginning of SuperStars. No DVR in those days! Anyway I was obsessed with Hogan. In 90 when Sgt Slaughter came in I loved it and loved his new heel persona. My dad was born in Damascus, Syria so he would translate gen adnan for me.lol! But when my beloved hero Hulk Hogan started talking shit about Iraq it pissed me off even as a kid. From then on I hated Hogan until '96! I was so excited to see Sid Justice kick Hogans ass! I really thought Sid could have been the top baby face in pro wrestling! Well now we know what happened! The main point is middle eastern gimmicks are always "crazy terrorists" and it disregards the feelings of millions of Arabic or Muslim fans.Maybe I was too sensitive as a kid but if u look back that was the end of Hulkamania. I used to think that Vince was doing that storyline for the Pentagon in exchange for leniency in court!

1.) I always was a fan of the Von Erich brothers, but what was up with Kevin? I listened to him on a podcast about a year ago and he seemed at peace and living the life in Hawai. I don't know if he was just nervous or if he is just out of touch. I also think he feels that everyone is thinking about his family tradgedy. Anyway I watched it live and was he reffering to NEW DAY when he said the new gay guys? I just had to laugh when I heard that! I love Kevin though and his family is definately one of the most important in wrestling history. I wish Kerry's daughter was there! Does anyone know if she still wrestles? She would be a baby-face opponent for Charolotte! 2.) Stan Hansen mentioned Rick Martel. Does anyone know what the beef is between Martel and WWE? I remember seeing an interview with him years ago where he said he would love to be inducted into the WWE HOF. 3.) My biggest criticism of the HOF this year is when they decide not to tell major parts of the story! Personally I never knew about Bossman's "hardcore" run in the WWE. When I think of the Big Boss Man, I think of the Twin Towers vs. The Mega-Powers at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee! I wasn't there but I am from Milwaukee and here in Milwaukee people still bring it up when the Bradley Center is brought up because the Milwaukee Bucks are getting new arena. I also remember his babyface turn and how over he was. He was the first "action-figure" I got! His entrance theme music was cool back then. The next thing I remember is his WCW run. Although I don't remember it because I was too young, I think when Ray worked in UWF that it should be mentioned since he was Champion!

Iron Sheik was awesome that year and looked good before the beer took over his belly. And Sheik had mega-heat but it was believable especially a few years after Iran-Contra which made fans believe that he was loyal to Iran & patoohie on U.S.A.

I love Al-Kassie so u got my vote. I love in ring promos and Al-Kassie was heat seeker with his Iraqi accent. Btw he legit went to grade school Saddam Hussein!

Parv stop hatin on Jimmy Jam. Although I am surprised to see them nominated I am also happy because I love Garvin maybe Because he was cool in wccw. Anyway he was the work horse Hayes never did much. The only critisism is that they purposely no sold and the other negative is that the early '90s MARKS were sick of all that glam and wanted EDGIER TEAMS like LOD blew up when they hit mainstream WWF & STEINERS. BUT looking back it's so entertaining watching the clash when the freebirds debut their music video! If u haven't seen it u must go watch it now!

I was thinking'89 wwf because Harley Barry Tully Arn Randy Hogan Bulldogs I think Garvin Valentine Brett Owen Shawn ;but I guess WCW'97 was pretty good. I'M on a cell sorry bout the sloppiness. I can narrow it down for u. I know it wasn't GWF'91

Thank you @victory that brings back memories when I was little telling my sister that Hogan 's real name was Terry Boulder! Anyway I knew that tape had nothing to do with Colesium Home Video. I remember there was also one with just Terry Boulder on cover and I think one with Andre on cover. Anyway I hope I find those matches online.

I remember seeing this VHS in K-Mart when I was about 6 or 7 and just walking around the store with it until my mom would take it away from me when it was time to check out! Never did i see it on the blue light special. But K - mart always had good selection of apter mags and other mags! Anyway does anyone know what is on this tape?

Bret Hart's Podcast (The Sharpshooter Show)
Outsider replied to Grimmas's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Has anyone listened to the Bruce Hart podcast. He NEVER lets his guests talk! It's CRAZY! Every time he rambles on "in the old days we did this and blah, blah" Usually his guests will think its their turn to speak but 2 seconds later he starts up again!!! I think its called Hart Beat Radio -
I have to show you a hilarious crossword puzzle from 1984!

I think Bix mentioned this on "6:05 Podcast" but didn't know if he found the same honey-hole that I did. But anyway if you are obsessed with the insider newsletter community of fans from as early as the sixties than I have a treat for you! Personally I am interested in 1980 - 1994 but when you look at the time and effort fans would go through to create these letters, it is amazing. I usually just randomly scroll through one and start reading. The bottom of this sample was pretty cool to read! About Bret's debut!

My personal favorites are pwo-ptbn: specifically Between the Sheets and any podcast that talks about the '80s and early '90s. WTBBP and Titans need some fresh material. -

Mailbag Questions for New Dangerous Alliance Podcast

In regards to F_, marry, kill. Of course jon sorrow would kill Jesse Ventura. Jews hate it when famous people expose the truth! Say what u will about Jesse but at least he questions authority. I wish we had a Muhammad Ali in our generation, someone who risked his prime fighting years for standing up for truth & justice. Unless u have a reason for hatin on Jesse? The years Jesse was at Wwf were the best! What was his last big show? Mania 6? IMO that was peak of WWF and they never recovered. They had some cool moments after he left but not as intense. I followed him to wcw & love those years when Rude debuted & Dragon was back. Iron man matches are incredible. Then on to Governor he went. God bless the "body." -
